Super unique place to stay but PEFECT for a family. Very close to a Emporeio, the beach’s and many great things in Santorini. About a 8 minute walk to the parking lot but well worth it!!

Quirky cave villa

We enjoyed our stay in this cave villa and exploring Santorini’s landscape and history. Our representative was really helpful and friendly recommending some great restaurants and days out.

Misleading

If you believe you will rent a tiny hatchback and drive up to the property, you will not. You can rent an ATV or hike your way up and down each time you leave or return. If you believe the photos indicate a place that is absent a moldy smell and with regular hot water, don’t be misled; there is indeed a moldy smell and irregular hot water. If you want a property manager who responds to: “this isn’t what we had in mind, we will look for somewhere else to stay” before even completing the check in process in any manner other than with a Cheshire grin, look elsewhere. Although we booked and prepaid a Saturday to Saturday stay in this location, we only stayed for an initial few days until we could find other accommodations. We chatted back and forth with the property manager via WhatsApp, but no attempt at reconciliation was made; instead, she was most interested in getting the keys back as early as possible such that she could attempt to re-rent the nights we’d already paid for. No refund was offered. You get the idea. Bad location, inaccessible, not well appointed or entirely functioning, and an indifferent property manager.

Santorini the best

The property is well maintained and very welcoming for a family. The division into three separate spaces offers a lot of privacy. Check in was easy. The only negative aspect is the parking that does not exist and is complicated even in the access road.

Außergewöhnliches Wohnerlebnis

Die Dandy Cave Villa ist etwas ganz besonderes, vor allem, wenn ihr tolles Interior Design liebt. Die Räume sind liebevoll gestaltet, irgendwo zwischen Griechenland und Orient. Der Innenhof mit der kleinen Jacuzzi-Grotte ist toll und Achtung: Unter dem Tisch ist ein Holzkohlegrill versteckt! Nicht alles erklärt sich von selbst (Zufahrt, Warmwasser etc.), aber die Agentur und die Eigentümer, die in der Nähe wohnen, helfen buchstäblich Tag und Nacht!

Amazing cave house

We had a wonderful stay at Dandy Cave Villa! It was such a unique experience to live in a traditional earth house. The place was beautiful and exactly like the pictures. It was very comfortable for our family of six. We especially liked the courtyard area for relaxing, but unfortunately the hot tub was cold so we weren’t able to enjoy it. The villa’s in a bit of a remote location, about a 10 minute walk to the bus stop in Emporio. The roadway up to villa is very narrow, so we wouldn’t recommend driving here yourself. Transportation had been arranged for us and the driver was very skilled at manouvering the narrow roads. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time here and would highly recommend it. And a very special ‘thank you’ to Vera for meeting with us at our arrival, arranging transportation and giving us some very helpful information about the area and things to do.

Beautiful and peaceful tucked away accommodation

Dandy Cave Villa - beautiful with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. Tucked away in peaceful location with a pleasant walk to Emporio town centre. Short drive to the beach, Fira and the airport. Lots of supermarkets and bakeries. Comfortable beds for sound nights sleep. Property manager Vera very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.

Endroit hors norme absolument charmant

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce lieu magique et charmant qu'est la Dandy cave villa. Si les photos rendent bien compte du décor elles ne peuvent traduire la magie de l'ambiance, de la lumière ... Les lits sont très confortables (qualité rare en ce lieu) et si le prix est élevé, il reste compétitif pour Santorin. Très bon contact lors de la réservation et très bon accueil sur place. Nous étions 3, 2 dans la chambre principale et 1 dans la chambre secondaire. La chambre principale est équipée comme un studio avec 2 couchages, 1 King size 2 places et un petit 1 à 2 places ; coin repas, salle d'eau, petit coin séjour. La deuxième chambre dispose de sa propre salle d'eau et est indépendante. Une troisième excavation contient la cuisine /séjour. Le patio et son spa (quelques buses) taillé dans la roche ont été très appréciés et utilisés. Emporio est un très joli village typique. Côtés moins positifs (mais faisant partie du folklore) : il est très compliqué de garer un véhicule à 4 roues et les 200 derniers mètres environ doivent se faire à pied. Par ailleurs, cela va sans dire, une maison troglodytes n'est pas conseillée aux claustrophobes ... Nous recommandons cet endroit sans réserve :-))
