Great secluded-feeling rental! It is a basement apartment but we barely heard the hosts upstairs and they were very considerate to ensure we had privacy while sitting on the back porch. The location is perfect, with most of the common touristy things to do within an hour or two from the house. The neighborhood is very quiet. The couch and bed were very comfy after our long days. We did see an owl near the back porch for 2 of our 3 nights! We would love to come back!

Lovely place, didn't realize how close it was to the owners. There are quite hours we also didn't know about 10pm-6am so keep that in mind. A lovely place to say with amazing views and lovely hosts.

This was the absolute BEST place I’ve ever stayed at while on vacation.The whole space was so charming and comfy. It was so peaceful with how quiet it was in the neighborhood it was in and it was so nice sitting on the patio every morning with the incredible view of all of the trees and greenery. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Really cute apartment, clean and comfortable with plenty of room. Nice neighborhood in a quiet, wooded area. Easy to access and very private- never saw the hosts although they responded quickly to my communications. Highly recommend.

The apartment felt like home away from home. Located in a quiet family orientd neighborhood and close to many restaurants, shops, the Zoo, and many, many hiking trails. This was our 2nd stay here, and look forward to future stays!

Such a cozy and wonderful stay! The views off the deck were so peaceful, and traveling from here to different areas of Portland was pretty decent with easy access to main roadways. Everything was nice, tidy, and clean with interesting decor and knick-knacks, games, and light reading materials. I also found to enjoy that there was some separation between the rooms, rather than a typical studio feel that you often find where everything is essentially all in one large room. Parking was a breeze with truly no competitions for curb space right at the end of the private walkway. The hosts were also fantastic with communication and providing clear instructions, especially because we arrived on a pretty late flight. They even gave great recommendations for McMenamins!

Family Visit Oasis

Excellent place with great view

Great property that is well described on VRBO. Comfortable, quiet, convenient, lots of on-street parking and surprisingly large. The place could use a towel rack in the bathroom and a paring knife in the kitchen.

Property was as advertised. Good location.Only issue we had was accessing property using steep rock path. Constant rain contributed to having to tread carefully getting to street. Host did mention the path in the listing, but was just a little more difficult than thought it would be. Otherwise, great stay.

Great Place for a Portland Visit

This VRBO was tucked into a very quiet residential neighborhood but nearby to any shopping you will need. We were visiting family nearby and this place was a great place to come and go. It is a fully appointed basement apartment with a separate entrance. Everything was clean and a modest kitchen was more than adequate.

Easter weekend

This cozy forest retreat was clean and close to downtown. We spent an afternoon in the cute nearby neighborhood of Multinoma Village. For a couple traveling this was perfect.

Wonderful stay at Owl Creek Retreat

Kelsey and Quentin put a lot of love and care into their space and it shows. The space is very cozy and cute, we had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. The local recommendations were great! Unfortunately it was rainy and a little chilly so we didn’t get to enjoy the private deck space as much as we would have liked to but the views from the windows were just gorgeous. We’d love to come back and would highly recommend Owl Creek Retreat to anyone else!

Perfect and cozy

Quiet, clean, and safe neighborhood. It happened to be in the same neighborhood where our family lives. Owners went over and beyond to make sure whoever stays here has everything they need. They were easy to communicate with in coordinating our arrival and departure. It was definitely a home away from home feeling. We will book again on our next visit!

Cozy Home Perfect for Relaxing

My partner and I couldn’t have been happier at this home. Everything was clean and easy to access. We loved waking up in the morning to the trees and having a cozy day inside. A perfect place to stay if you’re wanting to spend time in nature and explore Portland.

Perfect little hideaway

This is the perfect location. Easy to get to many different areas. Beautiful words out back when you’re sitting outside you feel like you could be in the middle of nowhere however, only minutes from restaurants and parks. Owners are very easy to work with . Will definitely stay again next time I am in the Portland area

LOVELY!

The decor was divine - even better than it looked in pictures. The thoughtful touches were everywhere you looked. And the deck was THE BEST. I loved everything about this and wished I could stay longer.

This cozy apartment is quiet and relaxing - you'll be surrounded by giant Pine and Cedar trees, creating the perfect spot to kick back after a day spent hiking through Multnomah Falls, exploring the vibrant city, or catching up with friends and family nearby. Most mornings and nights, you'll hear a "hoot hoot" or two from our Owls sitting in the tall trees all around you. Enjoy local coffee, complimentary house slippers and robes for chilly evenings, and the coziest bed you've ever slept in. We look forward to having you.
