Bijou, cosy cottage with lovely touches

Stable Cottage was perfect for our needs; rural location with beautiful view, a wood burner and short drive to stunning beaches for dog walks. Hosts had made a lot of effort to add Christmas touches which were thoughtful and much appreciated. Definitely would recommend.

A week end of visiting friends and relatives

The location was ideal between Sussex and Kent for our visits and perfect for our 10 month old Labrador puppy. The cottage was charming and comfortable, cleverly laid out and tastefully furnished.

Lovely little cottage in a peaceful location.

Cottage very clean and well equipped. Lovely view from the garden across the fields. Stairs are a bit steep but just added to the character of the place. Location is rural but Hasting & Rye are both only a short drive.

For nature lovers!

Amazingly situated cottage. The view is stunning. It took some nice walks thrue the fields or woods to get to The Kings Head and The Queens Head who both serve good food. The cottage itself has everything we wished for. Big romantic bed upstairs, plenty of towels and a cozy living area. I tried to get in touch by leaving a message on the website a few times but got no response. Telephoning helped at the end. I can recommend the erea and the cottage itself highly.

Stunning conversion in a quiet, peaceful location. More than expected. Completely blissful few days. Rye and Battle beautiful. Only downside would be ‘ladder’ to bedroom is only suitable for younger visitors but absolutely stunning property and location. Caretakers and cleanliness are top drawer. Log fire was immense. A lovely cottage surrounded by fields. Please be aware it is small. The bedroom is in the eaves . There is literally no room to stand up. Would not be suitable for anyone suffering from claustrophobia or mobility issues. It is well provided with everything we needed and even the fire had been pre-laid the Robin Hood pub is a 15 minute walk away. Due to virus had only opened that week . We had a wonderful time at Stable Cottage, lovely views and walks straight from the cottage. Lovely pubs and a tea shop, egg farm, and local fish to buy. Rye and the beaches are great. Great fire.
