It is close to the sea and Amble’s shops, restaurants, activities and harbour. It was clean and the open downstairs was appropriate. The downstairs toilet was useful.There are upstairs bathroom where the taps and plug don’t work very well.

A wonderful base for exploring Northumberland. Amble is a stunning little town with great beaches, cafes and walks. The property is very well maintained with all of the facilities you would expect and more! The owners were very helpful and the welcome gifts for both humans and dogs was a lovley touch.

Stunning cottage. Equipped with everything you would need and furnishings were lovely - very homely. Perfect trip for a family weekend away and location was gorgeous. Elaine was very responsive and flexible and was a great host. Would highly recommended and would love to return - Thank you!

Wonderful Cottage, great location

Superb cottage, extremely comfortable, and perfectly equipped - they really thought of everything and the extra little touches were so appreciated. A stones throw from the harbour and within easy reach of all that the beautiful NE coast has to offer. Elaine and Steve were on hand for the slightest thing and I would r not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. We will definitely book again. Thank you

Beautiful property

The house was just perfect for our family break.Elaine was so helpful and communication perfect.The property is ideally located, we parked up on arrival and didnt use the car again. A lovely stroll to the harbour area and hight street.The property was spotless and everything we needed and more

Deceptive gem

Very good property, exceeded our expectations, with a great open plan space downstairs with plenty of storage spaces, a very well equipped kitchen, with plenty of plates glasses and utensils (which is often a drawback of rental properties - certainly not here). High quality tv and log burner. Upstairs very spacious 3 bedrooms again with quality furniture and finish. Functional bathroom with separate shower. Overall a very good house, in a good central location. Thanks Elaine!

Perfect stay!

We had a fab 2 night stay at Gertie’s cottage. Location couldn’t have been better, spacious, well maintained and with lovely little touches such as a welcome pack for our dog. Would highly recommend to anyone keen to stay in Amble.

We had a fabulous time at Gerties cottage - lovely, warm, clean cottage 2 mins walk from the harbour, shops & restaurants. Beautiful coastline and history on your doorstep. I would highly recommend.

Nice location, lovely cottage .

We enjoyed our stay despite the weather, plenty to do a short walk or drive away. Nice places to eat / takeaway . Cottage had everything you could need for people and dogs. An enjoyable holiday from home.

Lovely property with absolutely everything you need during your stay. There were welcome trays for us and the dog which was a lovely touch. We woyld definitely recommend gerties for a stay in Northumberland.

Fantastisches Cottage

Das Cottage ist super schön und stilvoll ein gerichtet - die Bilder geben es sehr gut wieder (es sind nicht nur die schönen Ecken fotografiert!) - mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, mit sehr viel Geschirr und Pfannen und allem was man so braucht. Ausreichend gutes WLAN, Fernseher mit Netflix und Wii gibt es auch, falls das Wetter mal nicht ganz so super ist. Es liegt sehr ruhig und doch zentral, einen Steinwurf vom Hafen entfernt. Der Ort ist sehr süss mit einer Einkaufstrasse voller kleiner Läden (wo gibt es sowas noch...). Wir haben genau nach so einem Cottage in einem kleinen englischen Ort gesucht und es in Amble gefunden. Aus unserer Sicht haben sich die etwas höheren Mietkosten voll rentiert.

Great fun by the sea!

We had a great week in Amble. The cottage was great for the kids, grown ups and dog. Elaine left such a lovely welcome package for us and our dog, we felt instantly at home. Amble harbour was a short walk and we had some great meals there. There is so much to do with the kids in the local area. We will definitely be back
