Perfect stay!

We had the best time and loved the convenience of the property. Great for eating at Crotto Lierna and renting a boat from Nautica Lierna. A great grocer across the street, ferry access, and parking spot! Well appointed, a tasty wine on arrival, and responsive host!

Loved Lierna and this VRBO!

Beautiful apartment right on the water and by the town piazza. We loved the view, were very comfortable in the apartment, and it had easy train, ferry, and driving access to the other towns.

Great location with a full view of Lake Como and access to the ferry right outside the door. Spacious condo for Italy and easy access to the train as well. We could have used better instructions on how to use the washer & dryer, had a dirty pan we found in the oven and so-so shower. But overall a very nice stay.

Great location near the ferry and not far from train. Beautiful view of the lake. Well equipped kitchen. Nice apartment!

Beautiful location

Wonderful stay on Lake Como. Easy to navigate as the ferry-boat stop is right down from the parking. Fun pizzeria/bar on the square and a breakfast bar around the corner. Grocery store a short drive from the apartment (10” at most). Apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Communication was great!

Beautiful stay right on the lake!

You can’t get any closer to the lake than this apartment! The view is incredible, the beds are comfortable, everything you need is provided. The bottles of wine and water were a nice addition - thank you Paolo! The ferry stops right below the apartment making travel to other parts of the lake easy. We really enjoyed our time in Lierna.

Fantastic stay on the beautiful Lake Como

Couldn’t have picked a better flat or place to stay with my family of 4! Spacious rooms, stunning views, at the edge of the lake, steps away from the boat dock & smell of local restaurant below!! Small town yet minutes from larger areas & Bellajio by boat. Host was so helpful with suggestions of places to go as well as with transportation & boat rental information. If we are lucky to get back to Lierna, on Lake Como we will definitely reach out to Massimo/Max & Paolo for another stay & much longer!!

Fabulous Lakefront

Clean, spacious, location, location location. Lierna is quiet village with wonderful locals which suited our stay. Small problem at check in which was solved within minutes so no problem. Thanks guys

Beautiful Lake Como

Our stay in Lierna was amazing. Beautiful area and more peaceful than the busy communities nearby. SUPER easy to get around. Water ferrry or train... both are on regular schedules and convenient. 2 favorite places in Lierna include the gelato shop at the end of the drive and the bakery across the street. Wonderful people live in Lierna.

Beautiful, well furnished and well equipped apartment right on the ferry dock of surprising Lierna. Owners kindly and effectively resolved a big issue when the washer door would not unlock! Delicious gelato and pastry shops just outside. Amazing Buon Gusto's cases are full of options for picnic or dinner. Our favorite restaurant in Italy, Il Crotto, was a 15-minute walk along a path we found just above the main road. The big spoiler for us was the noise due to the busy restaurant below on a holiday weekend. During morning prep, thumping music. Past midnight, loud voices and engines. So here are our recommendations: If you are likely to be up or out at night anyway, then this is a fine weekend spot for you. If you want the serene lake experience, the restaurant is closed Tues-Wed and you will likely have quiet. And consider that the AC and fans probably help during the summer. Big thumbs up on everything else, especially the view!!

Lovely apartment in a beautiful, quiet location

Lovely, spacious and clean apartment. We were very happy we chose this apartment. Lierna is out of the way of the main tourist area. We found it accessible easily enough from Lecco and Varenna by train and by ferry to and from Bellagio. The area is very picturesque and there are good dining options within walking distance. Communication from the host was excellent.

Nice spot on a beautiful lake

We had a nice stay in Lierna. The views out the windows are beautiful. The bathroom is large, shower is small. Kitchen has most necessities for making your own food. The views and proximity to the lake are what attracted us to this place. Lierna is a small town, doesn’t feel touristy, doesn’t get crowded at the ferry like the bigger towns. Train stop is a quick 5 minute walk away. If you want a nice quiet spot on the lake, with proximity to bigger places this is a good place!

Lierna stay

The apartment was nice and comfortable. The views on the lake were very nice. A balcony would have made it super! The only negative is the building entrance and stairs are quite old … Only thing I would improve would be to have a kitchen with a few spices and things to make a meal. We did however fully enjoy our stay with the ferry at the door. The ferry doesn’t stop here very often in a day, just 3 or 4 times, so you have to time your outings.

Wunderschöne Wohnung - bestens ausgestattet und mit viel Platz für die ganze Familie. Phantastische Lage, direkt am See gelegen, inklusive Schiffsanlegestelle. Tolle Restaurants in direkter Nähe - man braucht so gut wie nicht ins Auto zu steigen.

Lake Como vacation

We stayed at Paolo's property on Lierna on Lake Como and we had a wonderful time! The location is breathtaking! Overlooking the lake , clean and quiet. You have parking available on the premises. The apartment is suited with everything you need! Paolo is a 5 stars host! !!!!!!

Gorgeous apartment on Lake Como

This was a fabulous apartment right at the water's edge on Lake Como. The apartment was very spacious and clean and even nicer than the photos. We loved that it was not in one of the main (crowded and noisy) tourist towns such as Varenna or Bellagio, yet was a short train ride or ferry ride from either one. Everything we needed was just a short walk outside the front door - gelato shop, bar/restaurant, grocery store and cafe. But best of all was the gorgeous view out the windows onto the lake. It was also just a short walk (down hill) from the train station. One thing to be aware of is it is on the third floor (by US standards). So if you have heavy luggage, be prepared to haul it up the stairs. As with most older buildings in Europe - there is no elevator. I would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again, should we return to Lake Como in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at this property for 2 nights. Property was clean, quiet, accurate listing photos, beautiful view. Lierna is a bit off the beaten path, however the quietness of the area was nice. Also, the boat launch to get to other areas of como is right outside the apartment- very convenient. Communication with Paolo was easy- check in/out, suggestions. Would stay here again.

Sehr schöner Urlaub in Lierna

Wir waren 10 Tage in der schönen Wohnung die direkt am See gelegen ist und über einen wunderbaren Ausblick verfügt. Man fährt erst über einen Parkplatz um dann durch einen Rundbogen zum privaten Parkplatz der Wohnung zu gelangen (links, gelb markiert). Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und auch eine Flasche Wein und Wasser waren zur Begrüßung vorhanden. Der Vermieter war zu jeder Zeit sehr gut erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Lierna ist sehr ursprünglich und hat einige kleine tolle Läden. Große Einkäufe für Lebensmittel kann man in Mandello del Lario erledigen. Wir waren quasi jeden Tag direkt vor der Tür schwimmen und nutzten auch die Fähre die direkt vor den Wohnung abfährt. Einziger Punkt den man wissen sollte, ist der Geräuschpegel der sich durch das Restaurant und das An- und Abfahren der Gäste ergibt. Wir kommen gerne wieder, es war ein toller Urlaub.
