This guest violated multiple house rules and damaged our home and personal property. This is not the type of family who typically stays in our home. We had to pay additional cleaning fees due to the poor condition. Our cleaner described it as "trashed." We checked our video doorbell, which revealed 5 vehicles (in excess of the 3 allowed) wedged into our driveway and on the street, and a multitude of people entering the house at all hours of the night. It became clear to us that multiple families had pooled their money to rent this single family home. The video doorbell also captured three dogs, one large standard sized poodle, a large brown lab puppy, both of whom exceeded the weight limit, and a small lap dog. The guest disclosed and paid for one dog and reported they would be bringing a service animal. Following is what we reported to VRBO: This guest left the house exceedingly dirty. There was spilled dog food in the cabinets, grass in the refrigerator and freezer, red liquid spills that were not wiped up, and excessive dog hairs all over the comforters, bed skirts, furniture slipcovers, and floor. The house had been deep cleaned immediately prior to their arrival, but their 5 day stay necessitated another deep cleaning, including washing of the comforters, and they were the first guests to use them after their most recent washing. The house accommodates 8 people, but this guest had 10 or more people in the home. We allow up to two pets under 50 pounds for a $250 fee. This guest lied and said he was bringing one pet. He later said his step mother had a service animal. Our doorbell camera recorded two very large dogs, well over 50 pounds, one a large breed brown puppy and the other a white standard poodle type , and one small dog. We request guests cover the furniture and beds with the provided pet sheets if their animals use them. This guest did not comply. My cleaner charged me an additional $100 for cleaning, $85 to wash the comforters, and $50 to remove the excess trash. During their stay, I received notifications from Brunswick-Glynn County Water and from Georgia Power as to excessive use at this 1400 square foot property. We allow up to three vehicles. Doorbell camera revealed this guest had three full sized double cab pick up trucks, one full size SUV, and one full size sedan parked on our property. My cleaner noted fishy water on our porch. Upon review of the doorbell camera, we observed this guest draining dirty cooler water immediately outside the front door. One of our Samsung TV remote controls was visibly chewed by a dog, likely the large brown puppy, and kitchen shears were broken and put back into the drawer. Review of the doorbell footage also revealed many people entering the home and shouting and cursing outside, in violation of our house rules.
