Such a lovely holiday at the Wild Duck

We had such a lovely stay. The holiday park is so relaxing . Lots of nature on your door step. We brought our 2 small dogs with us and they loved all the walks. Caravan was really clean inside and nice and spacious. Will certainly book this caravan again in the future.

The only positive was the area of the caravan being quiet with an outdoor area, but the outdoor area was littered with rubbish, including cigarette butts, bottles and cotton buds. The poor review is largely due to the general cleanliness and strong smell of damp coming from the master bedroom that greets you upon arrival. We opened all the windows, put the central heating on and sprayed everywhere with febreeze which made it bearable for 4 nights but it was a constant battle to manage and spoilt our stay. The carpet in the bedroom was permanently wet between the bed and mirror, window side and there was mold around the door frame carpets in the master bedroom. The pedal bin was broken and although a vacuum is supplied, it sounds like a siren and after 2 mins of use smells like its burning.

Since your stay, the source of the dampness has been identified as a leaking shower, and while water ingress can be difficult to locate, steps are now being taken to resolve the issue and make good any damage. A Family Weekend Away

Check in was super easy, key code given before we arrived via email, easy to find, no problems entering. At first glance it's a lovely caravan, lovely lounge and kitchen. We went as a family of 8, plenty of plates and cups. But not a lot of utensils, we cooked a Lasagne one evening and really struggled with stuff to cook with, we made do but I feel like 20/30 on extra cooking stuff would really be appreciated. the area the caravan is in is covered in trees, which we knew in advance but a hard bristled broom to sweep the tree dropping would be helpful, the hoover has absolutely no suction either and considering it's a pet friendly caravan you'd think they'd provide a hoover that actually works. The location of the caravan its self is far enough from the entertainment so you can't hear it, but also local enough to amenities. I messaged management during our stay and they were very helpful offered to come out and help us, but we declined as it was our last day and we felt it wasn't needed. I just wanted to inform them for further guests staying. Personally I wouldn't return to this caravan, but the haven site itself was nice enough.

Family Holiday

The property was perfect for a family of 7, the property was spacious and was a lovely place to rent for the duration of our holiday, it was perfect! The whole family enjoyed the stay, would definitely recommend to others.
