Our stay could not have been more perfect!! Dean and Juan took excellent care of us! The property was beautiful and perfect for our multigenerational group. The food was delicious and the massages were excellent! All of the staff was extremely responsive. We can’t wait to return.

Celebrating a 50th Wedding Anniversary

Three generations of our family came to celebrate our parent's 50th Anniversary. Dean was very easy to work with prior to our arrival and his team was fabulous for the length of our stay. We could not have asked for a better trip. The food and service are amazing! Book Villa Coco Mar, you won't be disappointed.

Our stay at Villa Coco Mar was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we booked, Dean was incredibly responsive and patient, answering what must have been a million questions as we planned our trip. His guidance and attention to detail made the entire process smooth and reassuring.Once we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The villa itself is beautifully designed with a thoughtful layout that works perfectly for groups, and it’s clear that every detail has been carefully considered. Small touches like the sunscreen pumps and the backup generator (which made weather related power interruptions invisible) show just how much effort has gone into making guests comfortable.Juan did a fantastic job coordinating everything onsite and ensuring our stay was seamless. Anything we needed was handled quickly and effortlessly. He even arranged for an onsite doctor visit, helped coordinate cigars, and organized a beautiful birthday cake for the girls in our group.The staff were incredible. The food throughout our stay was phenomenal, and Marleni kept us supplied with fantastic drinks all week. She was always so warm and thoughtful, and the entire team seemed to be one step ahead of us at all times.It truly felt like we didn’t have to think about a thing, everything was taken care of. Villa Coco Mar delivered an unforgettable experience for our group, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.We look forward to returning!

Wedding celebration

We came to Villa Cocomar with a group of 28 people to celebrate our wedding. From start to finish, the staff was amazing and accommodated our every need. The food was incredible, the rooms spotless, and the property was gorgeous. Would stay again in a heartbeat!!

Great Experience for our Business Meeting

I would like to say thank you to Dean, Maria, and all the staff that made our 6 day stay perfect. 19 of us met for a business meeting and it was set up exactly the way we needed. Everytime I asked for assistance, I was taken care of quickly. I would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful place & experience

The place is wonderful, the pictures don’t do it justice on just how beautiful the place is. Dean (property owner) was very communicative throughout the process of planning our wedding/family vacation. While on-site Juan (on-site manager) made sure we everything ran smoothly and facilitated any and all of our wants and needs. I would 10/10 recommend this place to others. We will be looking to visit again in the future.

A holiday in Paradise

20 of us rented the villa for a week to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was fantastic! Most of the people didn’t know each other so it was very important to have a villa where everyone could have their own private space but also areas where we could come together and have fun. This place was perfect. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely incredible. We loved the all inclusive nature of it. There were a few glitches - there wasn’t wifi in most of the bedrooms and there were problems with the keys to the rooms - but overall, they were small annoyances compared to how amazing everything else was.

Slice of Paradise!

Our group of 27 adults stayed at Villa Coco Mar for 5 nights. It was truly an amazing experience and I would recommend this property to anyone! The rooms were clean, modern and spacious. The owner Dean answered all of my questions and the house manager Juan took care of the groups requests when we arrived. The chef prepared delicious meals and the massages were so relaxing! We hosted a 42 person wedding on the property and all the staff and vendors brought in were great! We enjoyed a day trip to Playa Grande and did a catamaran sail with Tip Top Catamaran. It was a trip we will never forget!

Perfect Villa for a Bigger Group !

Hey Dean we just landed back at JFK. I want to thank you again for the the perfect house in the perfect location and the best staff I ever had the pleasure of spending 4 Days with. Nico is a problem solver and go to , wow amazing connections and Maria and the whole staff at the Villa are true assets and we appreciate each and everyone there. It's all true

Everything everyone says in these reviews are 100% true. The place is an oasis. If you are even thinking a little bit about Villa Coco Mar, trust me just book it. Juan the property manager is as advertised. He gets you whatever you need. Juana,the chef is a definite highlight. Like most reviews suggested, just get the meal plan. I cant believe how much food was served to us. Juana's staff is also amazing. 24 hr security had my family of 22 feeling safe and secure. Its like you are in your own world while you are there. If i could double the 5 stars to 10 I would.

Amazing Family Vacation at Villa Cocomar!

I have to say we had the most amazing stay at Villa Cocomar for 9 nights. We had a group of 22 from littles, teens and Adults. Owner Dean was amazing to work with and visited with us at the Villa multiple days. Juan did a good job helping us with everything from DJ, Live guitar player for Italian dinner night and all other things we needed. Staff is top notch, if you need anything at all just ask and they are on it for you. Huge shoutout to the Chef and Cooks Juana, Daniela, and Karina for the amazing food all week top notch and Paul, Julio,Tito and Andres for keeping an eye on the property and my little blond curly haired rug-rat! Paul was amazing for us constantly helping, if we needed anything we asked for at all, he does it all! Cleaning staff were so kind and friendly and took care of everything Yamaris team are all great! These people hold a special place in all our hearts and we truly cant thank them enough for an amazing vacation! Thank you all and cant wait to see you again!

Surprise 30th Birthday

Dean the property owner was beyond helpful with any and all questions (which were a lot) I had not only prior to, but also during the trip. Juan, the property manager, handled the many requests we sent his way! The chefs for the property created some of the most delicious food— truly authentic recipes. I even requested for a cake to look like the shape of a beer and it was done without hesitation. Nico, who transported us most everywhere, was always on the ball and arrived on time it not earlier. Every group is different and we chose the all inclusive route for most days we stayed, so be mindful of your group and give a heads up for realistic expectations i.e. amount of non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, what kind of food the group wants for meals, or even snacks. Juan was great about finding us a private catamaran last minute for 26 people which included lunch and beverages/ alcohol, it was the best experience! Any maintenance issue we had was fixed asap. Would recommend to anyone to stay at Villa Cocomar!

Breathtaking and Unforgettable

We went for our daughters 15’s with family and friends. It was an unforgettable experience! They all welcomed us on day one and introduced themselves and offered us snacks and drinks. The rest of the days they treated us like we were their number one priority. Everyone was warm, kind, caring, and very pleasant. They offered us movie nights, bon fire, moved the furniture to accommodate my daughters 15’s party and did it with love. The meals were all delicious including the roast pork that we asked for on our last night. The service was outstanding. The property offers an amazing gym, and aviary to sit and listen to the birds, a outdoor area for the adults and teens to play pool, darts or simply hang out. The beach had rough waves but they offered us boogie boards so we all had a blast with those. They also have a driver that would take us or pick us up where ever we wanted to go to. He was also super funny and very helpful. We also hired a bar tender that made delicious drinks for us. I would recommend this house to anyone who is looking to have a wonderful worry free experience. We all had an Amazing time and would love to go back one day. It is a piece of paradise all for yourself!

A little slice of heaven

Our family will always cherish the time we spent together at Villa Coco Mar. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary with 12 adults (us, kids, spouses) and 14 grandkids ages 1-20. Everything was over and above our expectation! The grounds and beach are stunning. The manager Juan is friendly and easy to work with. The chef Juana and her crew are amazing. We all loved the Dominican food so we asked for it repeatedly. Many of our group told me there was not one thing served that they didn't like. We had a pig roast one night and they set up a table for 26 near the beach. It was magical. The pizza was great for the night of the OSU game The massages were relaxing. The housekeepers were friendly and efficient. The security guards made sure we felt safe, and the kids were free to explore. The rooms are lovely. We had a problem the first night with getting some of the rooms to unlock properly which made that first night a little stressful for some, but the next day Juan helped to resolve the issues and the rest of the week was absolutely stress free. We did the horseback riding which everyone loved, and a catamaran trip which was equally fun. On New Years Eve, they set a beautiful table for us and we had a beach bonfire. We are hoping we can manage to return. Maybe for our 55th? Until then, our hearts are happy with our memories. ¡Muchas gracias a nuestros amigos dominicanos!

A tropical paradise

We’ve had a wonderful stay at Villa Cocomar. Our family of 12 adults and 7 children could not have asked for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay. Dean, the owner, went out of his way to make sure that everything we needed was there, an additional baby cot, high chairs, floating devices for the pool… They acquired everything we needed. The property opens up onto a deserted and sandy beach. You have to be careful with the current and the waves can be high, but fun and the sea water is warm. This is kitesurfing paradise so you can watch a lot of these agile kite-surfers coming past. We loved the beach and the remoteness of it, although-with 4 toddlers in our company - we spent most of our time at the pool. The pool, surrounded by loungers, is very conveniently situated near the big dining table and seats on the terrace. The pool has an almost separate shallow area which was wonderful for the smaller kids and their parents. There are two residences. A colonial with two Kings with sitting area upstairs, and a King and Queen downstairs plus a huge sitting room. This building is close to the pool and opposite the dining area. The other residence counts 10 bedrooms. 5 up and 5 down, with 8 Kings, 1 Q, and 1 with 2 Q-beds. Both residences are airconditioned and all bedrooms are en-suite. The grounds are huge and there are so many different features, like a bar with pool table, hammocks, a swing, tropical birds and resident peacocks. It was amazing and we would love to go back.

Magical place with wonderful people

The trip to the DR for 21 of my family members was a year of planning with the owner's help. You will not be disappointed with the accommodations. The Villa has everything that you would need to spend time together with friends and family or to have moments alone. My family loved all the outdoor space. We didn’t spend as much time on the beach since the villa space was so wonderful. Eating every meal outside with the entire group was comfortable and enjoyable. Juana, the chef kept us well feed with fantastic food the entire week. We applauded each night in appreciation. We like others that have visited wanted to bring Juana home with us. It was my intention to have excursions planned for each day with the option for family members to select and choose during the week. Juan the onsite manager assisted throughout the week to arrange and confirm excursions in addition to the transportation. He also provided some moments of calm when plans needed to change. Juan’s goal everyday was for us to have the vacation we wanted. He made it happen. Our new found friend, Nico, drove my family to and from the excursions. Always courteous, thoughtful, and patient. We had teenagers with us and I was thankful he paid special attention to their safety. Others at the villa did as well. Dean the owner dropped by several times and it was delightful to hear about how he has developed the Villa into such an amazing vacation destination. He wants to share the paradise he created.

Great Vacation

Firstly, let me say that Dean was an absolute rock star in terms of communicating and answering the endless questions that myself and our group of 7 total families had for an entire year leading up to the trip. As you can imagine, coordinating that many different families with different ages of kids and concerns, a handful of dietary restrictions and a few occasions to celebrate was no small feat. He arranged to have several goodies - activities for the kids, floaties, coloring items, goggles for the pool, etc. when we arrived. If you can spring for it, aim for flying into Puerto Plata, but if you have to fly into Santiago (more direct flights from where we were coming from, for a much better price), and you are prone to motion sickness, take dramamine before the shuttle ride. The roads are windy with elevation changes, but if you can stomach it, the scenery is beautiful and the drivers Villa Cocomar partners with are professionals and navigate the roads wonderfully. Juan and Juana were nothing short of exceptional - providing everything we needed, at times with very short notice. Juan was always available to answer our questions, arrange rides into town, or take our grocery or alcohol list. Juana is a FANTASTIC Chef (we may have tried to take her home with us)! All the food was delicious, and she was able to accommodate all of our requests, we definitely miss her cooking now that we're home. Most concerns we had were addressed immediately, and overall, the property is absolutely beautiful, with a fantastic vantage point for the sun rise, and it was a beautiful backdrop for our very casual 10 year anniversary/vow renewal.

Our stay at Villa Coco Mar was fantastic! The grounds are kept well and the property is beautiful. I stayed in the second building and had my own outdoor shower which I thought was pretty nice. The bidet didn’t really work on the toilet but the rest of the room was clean and comfortable with its own AC. Plenty of space in the room and the bed was comfortable. we had 19 people in our group and this was the perfect place to feel relaxed. Most of our time was spent by the pool and the kitchen area. The sauna was great and the pool was perfect. We had a little trouble with the hot tub as it would not get very warm during our stay. It was also hard to get in for the older people because of the big step. There were also no railings to get into the pool or hot tub so that was a minus for our people that had trouble walking. Being right on the ocean was the main reason why I chose this spot. It was so nice to just go out the gate and step onto the sandy beach! The real gem is the people that make it such a great experience! My first contact was with Dean, the owner. He was very helpful in answering all the questions that we had. When we arrived at the resort, Juan the manager was there to greet us and he coordinated everything such as taxi travel and food. Juana, Paulino, Daniela, and Marielin made DELICIOS food every day and Marleni kept our drinks full! The rest of the staff was so nice to us too and kept us relaxed, clean, and safe. We loved it here and hope to go back!

Amazing tropical getaway

The property is beautiful as shown in photos. The staff was always helpful and very friendly. They went above and beyond with our many requests.

Best Anniversary Trip EVER!

From the beginning of the planning process to the moment we left the Villa, we were so well taken care of and relaxed! I wanted to make sure that our 20th Anniversary would be one to remember and it was! So excited we went with this Villa! Rock star staff!! Juan, Juana, security, maid service…EVERYONE did their best to make our trip a wonderful experience and we love and appreciate them for it!! Thanks again for EVERYTHING!!!

Over exceeded our hopes and dreams

Cannot say enough good things about our recent vacation at Villa Cocomar 27 family and friends stayed for 10 days and what a fantastic vacation and experience.
