The accommodation was clean, comfortable and really unique. The hosts were very accessible and accommodating. We went to dinner in town, walking distance to the tower. We had a great stay and enjoyed the uniqueness of the property.

Great location and property!

The tower was a perfect place for our trip to Tuscany! It had a ton of space with a full kitchen and living room. The town it is located in is fantastic. There is a small grocery store, a pizza place, and a fantastic restaurant where two people can get a delicious meal and drinks for about €30 all within walking distance. You can easily drive from the tower to Siena, Florence, Montalcino, Montepulciano, and I'm sure many other places that we didn't have time to get to. Sauro was a great host and answered our questions quickly when we had them. Parking was also easy and free. Highly recommended!

Two important things were notable. The first was parking - the VRBO site advertised a garage, saying this was unusual for the area. There was no garage parking for cars, only a small lot that was usually full. Street parking was nearby. Second, we arrived about 7 pm on a Wednesday. There was nowhere to buy food to cook dinner or an open restaurant. The host tried to get a tavern to open for us without success. He told us that the only grocery store in town closes on Wednesdays. Our only option was to get in the car and drive for another 45 minute round trip to the closest open grocery store. If we were warned we could have easily dealt with this in advance. The tower itself is very unique, old, large, plenty of room, LOTS of stairs, Fun.

I'm sorry that the town's businesses were closed on that day; the Taverna's holiday coincided with the Market's closing time, which was unusual. Parking is specified as free and not reserved, so it's subject to availability, but the free street is adjacent to the parking lot and very close by. The garage is available free of charge for motorcycles and bicycles for access reasons. I'm happy you liked the house and it met your needs. See you soon.
