We had a great time, Craig was easy to communicate with and responsive with questions/concerns. There are lots of beds and lots of lake toys, being on the waterfront is amazing. My only hesitancy about coming again would be value for price -- everything is clean, adequate, and while there are lots of things that are worn and showing their age, we didn't suffer for lack of anything functional. But we ended up at this listing after another VRBO host cancelled on us at the last minute, and the price was substantially higher. At this price, I had the expectation this would be something of a luxury property, which it isn't. Furnishings/fixtures are mostly IKEA/Walmart, air hockey/foosball/ping pong are old and rickety (we gave up on using them), lots of minor maintenance issues. Again, nothing wrong with that if your goal is basic and functional.
I guess the market sets the price, and if the place stays fully booked, maybe the lesson is that my other trips to similar destinations (eg lakefront houses that sleep ~12) have just been comparatively super great deals.
In the end, it's just money. Better than having any complaint about safety, cleanliness, etc. All in all a wonderful vacation.
