There has not been a review of Denise’s North Cape May cottage posted in a couple of years, so I figured I would provide an updated one…
Our stay at Denise’s Cottage by the Bay was excellent and exceeded expectations. The photos on the listing were an accurate representation of the accommodations, which does not always happen when you book on-line. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and kitchenware. There was never a moment where we felt we were missing something, which was convenient. The king is bed was comfortable, and I am fairly particular with that. The BBQ worked well, AC was strong, the shower had good pressure, and the outdoor shower was a plus. The carpet that runs throughout seems to be new.
Denise was easy to work with. When the cable box had an issue when we arrived, she had the cable company remotely send a refresh signal to fix the problem. When the beach cart had a broken wheel and laundry detergent ran out, she ordered replacements from Amazon that arrived the next day.
My family has been visiting Cape May yearly for many years, always staying in hotels & BnBs downtown. So we were initially hesitant about being on the bay side in North Cape May, but we were thoroughly impressed with the neighborhood. The cottage was an easy walk to the beach as advertised, and the beach was quite nice and not crowded. The bay beach was especially well suited for a small child due to the calm waves. The neighborhood consists of well-maintained houses, and the people are welcoming. Even the wild rabbits that roamed the neighborhood seemed friendly! And the sunsets were truly the best we have seen since Hawaii. A plus is that the house is on the same road as Harpoons, which is a lively beachfront restaurant with good food.
Just as an added hint, to save time we pre-ordered groceries at the Acme which is 5 minutes away.
I look forward to returning to NCM.
