Situated on a quiet road in Villas, this single family home is a 5 minute walk to the bay and a 5 mile drive to downtown Cape May. The backyard of the home backs to Cox Hall Wildlife Management Area, a birder’s paradise boasting 4 miles of walking trails and a stocked fishing pond. The living room/dining room area is open, bright, and comfortable - perfect for family gatherings after a day on the beach. The back patio offers a peaceful setting. The two bedrooms are adjacent to each other. Each room is furnished with a queen bed, night stand, and dresser. Fall asleep to the hoot of night owls. Wake to morning caw of the seagulls.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the house. Everything was very clean and nice. Location was good. The back yard was a pleasure to sit and relax with the quiet. I would recommend staying there.

Great stay at Bayside Tranquility

Great quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. We loved that the backyard bordered a nature preserve. Would definitely stay there again. A really nice walk to the bay as well.

Wonderful visit

Stayed with a friend visiting from CA. Very nice home, comfortable & spotless-all amenities needed. Short walk to bay, easy drive to ocean, shops & restaurants. Host is thoughtful & kind, good communication! Definitely recommend & hope to return in the future.

Great house, great location, great owner!

This is a very clean, nicely decorated home with all the amenities we could ask for. The location was nice and quiet and we loved that we could bike to the bay in mere minutes. The owner was super responsive to us and so accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this home to anyone.

Quiet spot

A perfect spot for those who appreciate quiet. The nature preserve behind the property is accessible less than 1/4 mile from the house. Everything you might need is either in the house or within a 15 minute drive

Enjoyed our stay!

We loved our 3 days at this home! It was close to the bay and the Wildlife Management Area where we took a walk around the lake. It was in a convenient area to take a drive to Stone Harbor, Cape May Beach, the lighthouse, and Washington Street Mall. This house was in a quiet neighborhood. We were very happy that towels and sheets were provided! Thanks!

Nice Quiet Getaway

Great little getaway. Everything we needed as a home away from home. We love to walk the pathways down by the lighthouse, and my husband is an avid birder. So this was a nice quiet area to come back to and cook a few easy meals and relax at the end of the day. Thank you for the use of your home.

Truly lovely!

We reserved this home for our son and his family who were visiting us. It is a charming home in a lovely and peaceful neighborhood in our community. The host was very responsive to questions both before, during, and after my children’s stay, and the check in and check out were easy. All was exactly as described and pictured in the listing, and immaculately kept. It was also very nice to have linens and towels provided! I would recommend this home to anyone I know who might be looking for a vacation rental.

Spring Break

I stayed with my Daughter, Son-in-law & my Mom for 2 nights. The house was as depicted on VRBO. It was clean and comfortable. The location is Great, in a quiet, established neighborhood. No more than 15 minutes to downtown Cape May & all it has to offer. Easy check in and Susan responded quickly when I had a question. The only suggestion I would like to make is curtains over the sheers in both bedrooms. Once the sun comes up it gets very bright, and a little more privacy in the “twin” room would have been nice. I would recommend this house & would rent here again. Enjoyed our stay! Dawn & Family (March 2024)

Quaint, Quiet and Convenient

Nice, comfortable home for a two-night visit. It had everything I needed except towels. Not a big deal since it was just me. Fortunately, I had a spare towel in the car and bought a dish towel at the grocery. I was able to take advantage of the paved hiking trails at the WMA less than 1/4 mile walk from the front door. I was also treated to a great sunset on the bay one evening. Conveniently located 20 minutes from Cape May Bird Observatory at the lighthouse, which was amazing.for Fall raptor migration.

Birthday weekend

The place was nice a little small with four adults. It's in a great location and nice for a quick getaway. Nothing fancy but if you're exploring the area, you won't need it since you'll be out. The beds have a creaking sound with every move, I'm a light sleeper. The house does have a coffee maker but no coffee or tea. So, bring your own. And, since we toured a few wineries, we brought back wine but no wine glasses. Overall, the place was good, and we enjoyed our weekend.

A House in Progress

The first impression was excellent: the beds and the couch were very comfortable, the stove and MW oven were super and the area was quiet. The property had recently been nicely renovated, but more needs to be done: window coverings did not give privacy. Closets had curtains instead of doors. The description of the property promised a BBQ in the back yard and toilet paper - both were missing, as were instructions for the TV, stove and MW oven. No recycling or instructions on how to recycle were available. The eating area is pleasant with a view to the back yard which still needs a lot of work, though it features a wonderful, mature leafy tree.The house is located in a suburban wilderness that is not easy to get around in or out of. But it does back up to a Wildlife Management Area and it is a short walk to the beach. And it is reasonably priced for the area.
