Fabulous location, few minutes walk to town. House listing accurate and worked for our family of 4 although in the welcome booklet lists a 100 euro cleaning fee - we left the house as we found it and weren’t charged.

Wonderful holiday

We had a great time in this gorgeous 1840s property. It’s a lovely house, great rooms and everything one needs. Lovely hosts who could not be more friendly or helpful, Fabulous pool and surroundings, and although you feel secluded with so much greenery, you are just a couple of minutes from the town. Plenty to see and do in and around Saintes, and not too far from the beaches.

Saintes House

The property was spacious and well equipped. Private swimming pool and secure off-street parking . The property is ideally located with numerous cafes, restaurants and bars in the centre of Saintes only a short walk away. Restaurant L'IODE on Ave Gambetta is recommended. Royan only 50 minutes drive away. The owners were friendly and dealt with handover very efficiently.

Great gite,

Great place to say, lovely poolside and Barbeque area for outside eating. Lovely location with easy access to the town of Saintes. However, just be aware that the first floor accommodation requires people to pass through others bedrooms to access the facilities (wc). Also it is not clear on the website that cleaning is extra as well as bed linen etc. Understanding the above - a great location, great site, great hosts and very helpful. It may help future guests if the bed linen was located on the appropriate beds, we had difficulty sorting what linen for what bed - maybe just us but overall great time and recommended.

Very pleasant house ideally situated near the town centre, it is well equiped. The swimming pool complex is very attractive and Saintes (the local town) can be explored at leisure. We would strongly recommend this property to anyone.
