2nd stay even better

We’ve stayed at this property 2 years in a row. It’s great. Close to the beach, in the heart of Leucadia/Encinitas and close to the freeway. It’s clean, convenient. Great updates from last year.

Stay in Encinitas

The house was very roomy for my husband and I and my Grandson. There is a pretty front and back yard. Beds were comfortable and clean. We asked for washcloths and an extra blanket and these were provided promptly. House needs some minor repairs...lock on bathroom door, new paint, cold water/ice machine on fridge needs to be fixed. However, important things like the A/C worked just fine. Also, too far to walk to Moonlight beach and parking for beach is very difficult. My Grandson loved the outside shower.

The property was in a great location for being accessible to anything on the Pacific Coast Highway with some walkability to restaurants and the beach (15-20 min). The house was very clean with a great backyard patio space. It could use a refresh in decor, but it suited us well. My primary complaint is that the listing included a hot tub and their isn't one. My kids were super disappointed.

Great location

We chose the house for its outdoor areas. It has a beautiful yard! The furniture outside and inside was very used and dirty, however.

Do not recommend, very dissatisfied.

The property is cute and has a lot of potential. The backyard was beautiful but the inside was dirty. Master bedroom sheets smelled, we had to wash them before going to sleep. There were chips, wrappers from feminine hygiene products, and makeup under the bed. The second bedroom had a missing battery in the carbon monoxide detector, the underside of the top bunk matress was shredded and unsightly, the carpet was covered in stains. The round chair in the living room was covered in stains as well. The kitchen didn't even have a dishwashing sponge. The bathtub was dirty and we had to go buy cleaning products and wash it ourselves. We are upset that we were charged a cleaning fee and had to clean the place ourselves.

Beach Getaway

Our family enjoyed our stay. Felt like the place could be cleaned better with a deep cleaning to help, the outside furniture seemed to be on its last leg. A small but easy thing, didn’t see any oven mits for taking items out of the oven, didn’t have extra trash bags.

Family trip

We absolutely loved our stay. Everything was as advertised. We traveled with two small toddlers and the house was very kid friendly. The outdoor space is amazing. The location is awesome. Walkable to multiple places and close to the highway. Would definitely stay here again if returning to the area.

Wonderful place for families

Our family of 5 stayed in the property for a long weekend- it was great! My children absolutely loved the beautiful backyard with the swing set and all the amazing plants that were growing. The house was charming and clean. It was close to the beach and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend!

Perfect hideaway in Encinitas!

Great stay, with a few tiny caveats

Location is amazing and yard was beautiful, with lots of areas to hang out. Lemon tree and avocado tree on site! Great for a toddler, too, as there's a swing set on property, and they provided a crib and a high chair. Only negatives was the shower dispenser was all out of shampoo, conditioner & soap, and they had a Keurig, but provided no pods or any other coffee or means of making coffee. Would definitely stay there again!

Perfect place for a family!

Beautiful front yard and back yard landscaping with plenty of outdoor space for kids to get their wiggles out, grown ups to relax and family to eat together. Beds were comfy and all essential appliances were there including a washer and dryer. Hosts provided beach towels and an outdoor shower as well as boogie boards and chairs. Charming quiet neighborhood close to moonlight beach which was our main destination for the four days we stayed.

Perfect home just E of the rail tracks and walking distance to all the best places. Quiet neighborhood, clean and spacious house with lots of outdoor space and easy parking.

Amazing location!

The location of this property was definitely the highlight! A short/easy walk to restaurants and coffee shops. The backyard was great for my kids. Very nice pack & play and highchair were provided! The house was very comfortable; however, I was disappointed in the lack of kitchenware suitable for children (given that the house seems geared towards families).

Beach Town Feel

Great property for a small family because of the nice outdoor space. Neighborhood was very quite except for an occasional train but nothing to worry about. Was close to everything you would want to see in So Cal. Would very much recommend a stay here.

Cozy, No Frills

This little bungalow felt like home from the moment we walked in. Nothing to fragile or sharp so we felt comfortable with our below 9 aged kids. The hot water is REALLY hot, use caution with little kids. The outdoor spaces are wonderful. Lots of fruit trees and hang out areas. House has great AC and lots of operable windows to control temperature, great washer/drier as well. Use the outdoor shower, it’s such a treat and sand managment is a thing.

Lovely stay

This was an ideal home for lounging outside and letting our preschooler play freely. Comfortable beds and bedrooms. Great access to everything wonderful leucadia and Encinitas has to offer!

Family getaway

Planned a last minute getaway with the family to the beach and this place was perfect! We had plenty of room and love the outside shower. It was nice to be able to come back and shower and not have to clean up sand. There was also a little cafe down the street we could walk to for coffee and food. It was perfect😊

Cozy, full of greenery and wonderful location

We loved our stay at the Cozy home! It was a perfect weekend. Placed is dated from 1960 with a view essential items missing such as wash clothes.

Wonderful Spot in Leucadia

Great family trip

This house was perfect for our family with a toddler. We loved being able to retreat back to this home which was located so central to visiting our friends and family in Encinitas. And we loved being walking distance to the beach, great food, and fun park. It was a really fun San Diego vacation for us!
