Beautiful Stowe Getaway

This was a fantastic place to stay for our ski getaway. It’s a beautiful house surrounded by wonderful views, lots of trees, land and privacy. The house is very clean, and the owner provides everything (towels, soap, sheets) making it easy like hotels but with the coziness of a house. It’s a short ride to Main Street (5 minutes) and about 15 minutes from Stowe Mountain. The host was very responsive and available through texts if needed and had games, books, etc for my daughter to use. I would stay again.

Fantastic Property!

We stayed here for the holidays, and it was the perfect setting. Spacious, very clean house with comfortable beds, heated floors (!), plenty of pots and appliances so we could make our own meals, and large windows everywhere to appreciate the beautiful scenery--including the sunrise in the master bedroom! Birds and squirrels frequent the bird feeder outside the living room window for some natural entertainment. The location was ideal. The house is secluded and very quiet, but still close to Stowe's main street, the Trapp Lodge, Waterbury and Burlington. There is a Shaw's nearby, and another small grocery store that was open on Christmas Day. Jeff was very helpful, responded quickly to questions/requests, and was eager to make our stay enjoyable. We enjoyed ourselves immensely!

Wonderful vacation!

This house was perfect for us. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-appointed with all the kitchen supplies and gadgets you could need. The owner, Jeff, was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable. We had some frigid temperatures during our time there, but we stayed nice and cozy with the fireplace and heated floors. The location is great, with a convenient grocery store just a few minutes down the road and about 15-20 minutes drive to skiing. My kids had so much fun playing out in the huge yard, even in sub-zero temps! Would absolutely recommend staying here. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Beautiful, welcoming home on a secluded property in the mountains.

Jeff, the owner made us feel welcome right from the start with his generous hospitality. He checked in with us a number of times during our stay to see if we needed anything or had any questions about the property or the area. As a host, Jeff paid close attention to details, anticipating needs and providing cooking staples. The kitchen is amazing - definitely a "chef's kitchen ". The rooms are cozy and well-appointed and the views out the windows are spectacular. We particularly enjoyed the comfort of the heated floors and large gas fireplace at the end of a day of snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Jeff provided us with comprehensive information about the area and offered helpful suggestions. We would definitely return and highly recommend this lovely property to anyone looking for a "home away from home" to settle into while enjoying beautiful Stowe.

Great Group rental with Incredible Owners

Loved everything about our stay here! The house is impecably clean and well appointed. The first floor common area flows from the kitchen, to the dining area and the living room with fireplace and allows for wonderfully relaxing family time together. There are expansive windows throughout the house that fill the rooms with natural light and allow you to appreciate the serenity and privacy of the property. Having a two car garage for our cars since it snowed almost every night, put us on the mountain (only 10-15 min drive) by the first lift with no effort. With Shaws, the grocery store, 5 mins away and a great kitchen, we cooked almost every night but the best restaurants in town are within 10 mins away (and most do takeout if you are tired from skiing). But given all this, by far the most extraordinary amenity to this rental is the owners. They left every closet and drawer empty and available for use. They stocked the bathrooms with travel toiletries and extra towels, their linen closet was full and even left their spices in the kitchen for cooking. We called Jeff, when my sons couldn't find the channel for ESPN to watch the football games and he called us right back to tell us that he added it to his channel package! We strongly recommend this rental - just not for Christmas week, since we hope to return each year.

My family spent a delight...

My family spent a delightful week at this house in December 2007. Everything was warm and welcoming, nicely organized, and very much like home. The location can't be beat if your visit includes skiing at Stowe or enjoying the charm of Stowe village and the surrounding countryside. Arrangements were straightforward and easy to handle. I highly recommend this rental.
