Overall, the property was comfortable, clean, and central to downtown, but I did experience a few issues that affected my stay.I had difficulty unlocking and locking the door, which often took several minutes and required holding the key at a very specific angle. When I reached out for help, I was told the lock was “tricky,” and the property manager applied WD-40, which unfortunately got all over my hands when I used the key afterward. At the end of our stay I sent a message noting that the toaster wasn’t working and that the key was a “pain in the ass,” simply expressing frustration about how difficult it was to secure the door. The property manager’s response came across as condescending and defensive, claiming I was being aggressive and that no one else had ever had issues. I found this reaction unreasonable given that my feedback was minimal and intended to be helpful.Overall, the property manager was difficult to work with and did not handle feedback professionally. I hope this feedback is received in the constructive spirit it’s meant — improving the communication approach and addressing the lock issue would make future guests’ experiences much smoother. Below is my text exchange with Steven Cyrus the property manager for context.
