The Upper Garden Apartment in "La Bastide Saint Christophe" is south and east facing with lovely views over the old olive grove and woodlands. The apartment has its own driveway, covered parking and private garden with gas barbecue.

The Upper Garden Apartment has a triple bedroom with king-size bed and single bed and a twin bedroom with king-size bed, which can be separated into two single beds. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom.
The apartment is 100m2 in size and accommodates up to five people.

Located a 10 minute walk from the centre of the medieval village of Le Bar sur Loup, "La Bastide Saint Christophe" is set in a centuries old olive grove of 3000m2 with uninterrupted panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

We offer 5 very spacious and high quality gîte apartments, furnished with care in a comfortable Provençale style.

The fabulous 12 metre long and 5 metre wide swimming pool is surrounded by wrought iron fencing and is heated from 1 May to mid October.
A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view !

Lovely rental

A great place with brilliant views and nice garden and pool and the host was very helpful and friendly. The fragrances in the garden are unforgettable! The location is walking distance from the bakery and a good few choices for food. Most recommended!

Lovely stay in a spacious, scenic apartment

We were able to visit so many villages and museums that we had missed on previous trips and thoroughly enjoyed the spacious, clean, well equipped apartment that allowed for many memorable experiences due to its location. Communication was good before and during our stay. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Schöne Ferienwohnung im toller Lage

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr konfortabel und gut ausgestattet. Das Haus iliegt in einer sehr schönen Umgebung und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Wir haben dort eine schöne Zeit verbracht. Vielen Dank.

Fabulous!

Property very well equipped, maintained to a high standard, felt larger than expected, and the views were stunning! Bar Sur Loop is a lovely little place, as are surrounding towns such as Gourdon and Tourettes Sur Loop. Very steep (but very short) walk down to the pool from upper garden apartment but this is only reflective of landscape and natural beauty of the area! Hills and mountains in every direction! Lovely pool! It is highly likely we will return!

Perfect Home away from Home

The Upper Garden Apartment is more like a home, very spacious, clean, quiet and beautifully decorated. It was perfect for two couples for 6 nights, with two bedrooms with en suite full bathrooms. The views from our balcony were spectacular. We visited in early May so we didn’t use the beautiful pool but some hardy guests did. We used the well-equipped kitchen a lot for breakfasts and dinners. Having owners Milly and Art available on-site was great, gracious hosts hosts who provided helpful info on the apartment, Le Bar sur Loup and the surrounding area. Some of the conveniences we appreciated were the diswasher, washing machine and drying rack, totally modern bathrooms, King sized bed in one room, two twins in the other. The entire place has been renovated but retains the provencal charm we were hoping for. And it seemed bigger than the photos here. A large Casino Supermarche is just a few miles away and there are excellent restaurants within walking distance of La Bastide. We walked to one, Hotel Particulier des Jasmins, for a wonderful dinner with a spectacular view. The roads are narrow and winding in this region so it helps to have a small car with GPS. One of the highlights of the area was a visit to the old walled city of Gourdon nearby. We also did day trips to Monaco, Cap d’Antibes and Cannes, all about an hour’s drive or less. The only improvement I would suggest is adding a couple of luggage stands to the smaller bedroom. Everything else was great and we highly recommend you book a stay at La Bastide Saint Christophe.

Wonderful visit in the French countryside

Everything you could want for a lovely stay and Milly is there to answer any questions, but never intrusive. We were 2 couples who loved to spend the evening with a glass of wine on the balcony while enjoying the beautiful views. Clean and with even more than was promised, we can strongly recommend you stay with Milly. Lots of places to visit within 30 minutes, tho be advised that you may often be driving on narrow country roads so be sure to take full car insurance. Could not have had a more enjoyable holiday!

Spacious, comfortable, a perfect getaway.

Our stay in the Upper Garden Apartment exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Communication and directions were faultless and Milly and Art were the perfect hosts, available if you needed them but happy to leave us to enjoy our stay. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and stayed cool in the heat of the day. The outside space was delightful, a covered area for eating, a balcony for enjoying the views and the covered carport a bonus. The swimming pool was well maintained and a lovely, private spot to cool off. Our 2 grown up boys enjoyed some healthy competition playing their own version of boules on the pitch below our apartment. The village of Le Bar sur Loup is within easy walking distance and has several small shops and restaurants, be prepared to climb a few steps when exploring the village! A short drive away there are well stocked supermarkets offering a wide selection. The location is ideal for exploring the coast and the spectacular hill top villages. We had day trips to Cannes and Antibes and afternoons spent in Grasse and Gourdon. Overall, a super family holiday made all the more enjoyable by staying in such a fabulous apartment.

The property was stunning. Better than I could have ever imagined.

Millie and her husband were so kind and helpful during every step of our stay. Their home and property are picture-perfect, their hospitality was incomparable. Millie picked up up at the bus stop, helped us have pizza ready when we arrived, made reservations for our meal at a fantastic local restaurant, had fresh croissants and fruit for our breakfast, and even loaned us clothes because our luggage never arrived. Amazing people in an amazing location!

Das Appartement "Upper Garden" hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir haben uns mit unseren beiden Kindern sehr wohlgefühlt. Die großzügig geschnittene Wohnung mit zwei Schlafzimmer ,Wohnbereich, Bad und WC sowie eine gut ausgestattete Küche ist sehr sauber mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der eigene Hof- und Gartenbereich mit toller Terasse und vor allem der schöne und gepflegte Pool haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Ort Le Bar sur Loup ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für eine Vielzahl von Städtetouren wie z.B. Grasse, Cannes, Nizza und Monaco. Für das Frühstück ist der Bäcker direkt im Ort in ca. 10 Gehminuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten bieten Supermärkte die in einer Entfernung von ca. 3-4 Kilometer liegen. Milly und Art waren sehr hilfbereit, freundlich und tolle Gastgeber. Für Familien eine tolles und empfehlenswertes Feriendomizil. Familie A.Germany

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir haben im August 2011 zwei Wochen mit unseren Töchtern (11/13J.) im Upper Garden Appartement verbracht und waren äußerst zufrieden. Die Wohnung war großzügig, sehr sauber und in der Ausstattung sehr gut durchdacht. Vom Flaschenöffner bis zum Dampfbügeleisen ist alles vorhanden. Die Aussicht vom Balkon ist wunderschön und der Freisitz vor dem Haus groß und einladend. Auch den Grill haben wir zwei Mal genützt und entgegen den Erfahrungen in anderen Ferienhäusern war er sehr gepflegt. Der Pool ist nicht riesig, aber war für uns absolut ausreichend. Auch waren immer ausreichend Liegen vorhanden. Der neuangelegte Boule-Platz wurde von uns, mit dem in der Wohnung bereit gestellten Boule-Spiel, fast jeden Abend genützt. Milly und Art sind ganz reizende und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die uns mit allen Fragen, die wir hatten, sofort geholfen haben und uns gute Tipps für Ausflüge ans Meer gegeben haben. Bar sur Loup ist ein kleines aber feines Örtchen und bietet sich für Ausflüge in die Umgebung gut an. Alles in allem also ein sehr gelungener Urlaub und wir würden jederzeit sofort wieder dieses Ferienhaus besuchen.

Exceeded our expectations

We booked this apartment based on its proximity to Nice, the lovely photos and the fact that it had all the details we required, namely a pool, outside eating area, dishwasher, washing machine (required for 2 small children) and secure car parking. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find that it exceeded our expectations. The apartment was spacious and nicely furnished, the view from the balcony was stunning (much enjoyed throughout the holiday) and the pool area was clean and well stocked with sun loungers/umbrellas. The owners (Milly and Art) were most welcoming and friendly, providing us with simple instructions to find th house along with lots of information and tips on places to visit within the area. They also provided an unexpected selection of toys and books that our children happily enjoyed throughout the holiday. Bar sur Loup has good local shops for purchasing provisions as well as some lovely local restaurants. We would definitely recommend this property as a good place use as a base for trips to the main attractions in the area as well as being somewhere to relax and soak up the sunshine!

Wir hatten in Le Bar Sur Loup bei Milly einen unserer schönsten Urlaube. Unsere Töchter (4, 11 Jahre) liebten den Pool. Super Ausstattung! Wir haben uns einfach nur wohl gefühlt! Die Pizzeria in Le Bar sur Loup ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Beautifully appointed apartment...

We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a peaceful stay in a lovely part of France. Milly's directions from Nice airport were spot on. We arrived late and even had a pizza ordered for us! The apartment was exactly as listed, and there was plenty of bedding, good quality linen etc. The kitchen had everything you would need to feed and water your family. A large fridge with a good sized freezer compartment, all the crockery, pots and pans you would need are there, and Milly's directions on the way in from the airport also included the location of the local well stocked supermarket, The view from the wide balcony which opens out from the living room is stunning, capturing the view down the Loup valley. There are comfy chairs, sofa, TV, DVD and a hi-fi with plenty of CDs if you forget to bring your own. One criticism: Michael Bolton has no place in *anyone's* CD collection! There is a really handy dresser in the living room filled with toys and jigsaws, which we really enjoyed as we took two young 'uns aged three and five. The two bedrooms were nicely done, and the absence of aircon wasn't really a stress as there are quiet fans in each room. The swimming pool is lovely, refreshing, spotlessly maintained and with great views over the valley. Finally the apartment is well situated for exploring the hilltop towns and villages around the southern coast (Cannes, Monaco, etc.). Ourselves; we went to Cabris (enjoyed fantastic Moule et Frites dinner at the "Mini Grill Restaurant") and Thoule-Sur-Mer which has a fantastic small quiet bay especially good for young children. Bar-sur-Loup itself is lovely. Quiet, pretty and embodying the sleepy French town vibe that is part of the reason for going there. As you can see, we enjoyed it.

Unforgettable vacation

We spent our best ever holiday in La Bastide Saint Christophe. Milly & Art and their lovely daughters Sophia and Lucy, not to forget their pets bunny and guinea pig - them all create a unique atmosphere of warmth, hospitality, careness and personal touch, making this wonderful house not just a place to stay but more like home, where we are dreaming to come back to. We enjoyed visiting local shops, market, restaurants in charming Le Bar Sur Loup and other villages around. Gourdon, Le Gorges Du Loup, Vence - places not to be missed. Art and Milly were very helpful with their recommendations on where to go to, not to mention guide books, maps and tourist info booklets that we found in the lounge. Also there was a selection of CDs, DVDs, books and even toys to entertain the whole family including our 5y.o. son and teenage daughter. The swimming pool and the area was excellent! We were lucky enough to find "La Bastide Saint Christophe" and to make it our home.
I hope to offer our guests a sense of the beauty and tranquility that enchanted us when we moved here more than 20 years ago!

We were actually looking for what seemed like the impossible property! A characterful house big enough for us to live in and rent out holiday apartments somewhere in the Grasse area or a village nearby. To top it all it had to be south facing, not on a main road, and walking distance to the local boulangerie.
