These lovingly restored multilevel house is located in the historic center of the picturesque medieval village of Conversano, Puglia, just a 10-minute drive from the beaches of Polignano a Mare.

The stone house features a large living room on the first floor and 2 bedrooms on the upper floors. It comfortably sleeps 5 people, and is elegantly furnished with clean, modern furniture. There are two bathrooms and three small balconies. Amenities include: fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, air conditioning, WI-Fi, TV, ironing board/iron and a fireplace.

Conversano, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, is lively, sophisticated and full of festivals/events throughout summer — yet never overrun with tourists. Enjoy the daily “passeggiata” (evening stroll) in the cobblestone-paved old town streets full of shops and restaurants (gelato in hand), explore the castle and surroundings, cook with fine, fresh produce from the street markets, and take in free concerts and street performances. The town centre is pedestrian-only, which makes for wonderful walking and quiet, peaceful sleeping. This is also the perfect gateway for famous tourist destinations nearby like Ostuni, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Locorotondo (Valle d’Itria). All are a few miles away. The train station is just a few blocks away from the house.

The house is located in the historic center of Conversano. Since this area is a pedestrian friendly zone the parking is restricted. You can temporary park your car near the house at your arrival to unload your baggage and then park for free just outside the historic center few blocks away from the house.We will provide a map with parking areas.

We fell in love with Conversano

Our trip was supposed to keep us in conversano for 5 days, upon arrival we booked for a further 5 because we found the location to be magical. It has been the highlight of our trip. Beautiful town, super clean, friendly, we felt at home and have fallen in love. I can’t wait to return The food is amazing with so many great dining spots Every laneway magical and the best photos await The saying “Dolce far Niente” the sweetness to doing nothing, plenty to do but at your own pace Amazing coffee everywhere we went Gelato ❤️❤️ And the accomodation was just AMAZING!! Gezellige woning in het centrum van Conversano.

Zeer tevreden over de gezellige woning, de inrichting en aanwezige voorzieningen. Uitgebreid voorzien van informatie over de woning én de omgeving. Bij vragen en onduidelijkheden snelle reactie van huiseigenaar. Prima lokatie om te vertoeven. Enige minpuntje is dat auto verder weg geparkeerd moet worden ( is wel gratis) aangezien er bij de woning geen parkeergelegenheid is en dicht in de buurt betaald parkeren is.

Cette maison ancienne du centre historique de Conversano a été restructurée avec soins et nous y avons passons un très agréable séjour avec nos trois enfants. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir.

Die Unterkunft entspricht komplett der Beschreibung und ist sehr zu empfehlen, mehr verrate ich nicht, da Conversano ein Juwel ist und so bleiben soll.... Wir kommen wieder!!!

We spend 4 weeks in this wonderful apartment! Marina and her family/friends were sonice! They always helped out with any questions we had and the communication was always friendly and fast! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Conversano ist eine wunderschöne Kleinstadt, alles ist fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, super sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Marina hat sich perfekt um uns gekümmert und uns sehr gute Tipps in der Stadt und Umgebung gegeben.

Balkon über den Dächern

Die Wohnung ist sehr groß und schön, und gut gelegen mitten im Ort Conversano. Alles Nötige ist vorhanden. Die oberen Räume sind etwas heißer, an den Gesprächen der Nachbarn und am Baugeschehen der Straße nimmt man unmittelbar teil. Da in der Füßgängerzone gelegen, gibt es aber keinen Autoverkehr. Die Nähe zu den Nachbarn ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die Vermieter sprechen nicht gut Englisch, geben sich aber große Mühe alles korrekt zu übersetzen. Leider ist niemand vor Ort, daher ist man auf sich selbst gestellt. Insgesamt ein guter Ort um die Umgebung zu erforschen. Empfehlenswert!

Bijzonder mooi appartement in het historisch centrum van Conversano

Mooi appartement (Jatta) in het historisch centrum van het rustige Conversano. Ligt in een rustige echt Italiaans steegje. Heeft drie verdiepingen en op de derde verdieping een klein balkon. Prima bedden, niet al te grote badkamer. Keuken is goed. Wij zijn hier begin augustus 2018 met 6 personen geweest, voldoende ruimte. WiFi was goed. De verhuurster, Marina, spreekt goed Engels en geeft snel een reactie als je wat aan haar vraagt. Conservano ligt 15 min van het leuke en drukke rotskustplaatsje Polignano a Mare. Er zijn in de buurt geen mooie strandstranden, Conservano is niet toeristisch, echt Italiaans. Voor pubers is hier weinig vermaak, dit moet je op andere plekken zoeken. Het appartement is een prima uitvalsbasis om puglia te ontdekken.

Altstadtflair pur

Wir haben uns in diesem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt, es ist gemütlich und komfortabel eingerichtet. Genial war die Lage mitten in der engen Altstadt, auch wenn unser Kombi nicht mal vor die Haustür fahren konnte. Rund um das Castel pulsierte allabendlich das italienische Leben, erst recht beim Kirschfest am Wochenende. Sehr nette Vermieterin.

Charming apartment in a charming location

The apartment was as advertised, very cool and gives the feel of urban living in Conversano's old town, just a block from the church and castle. Our only complaints about the apartment were lack of any English TV lineup and sketchy internet. The town has complicated parking (we got a ticket) and trash collection, and the scarce close by parking on the street is not always available. As is custom in Southern Italy shops close for a time in the afternoon and restaurants don't open until 8pm. All that took some getting used to.

Herrlicher Ausklang der Sommerferien

Es waren wunderbare zwei Wochen im schönen Apulien in einem kleinen und wunderschönen Stadthaus mitten in der Altstadt von Conversano. Das ganze Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und der moderne Charme der Inneneinrichtung im Kontrast zu den alten Steinmauern ergibt eine reizvolle Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl. Das Highlight sind die beiden Dachterrassen, auf denen man in Ruhe ein Buch lesen und dabei Sonne satt tanken kann. Das Haus ist ziemlich komplett eingerichtet und man hat alles, was man benötigt vor Ort. Ein großer Kühlschrank, eine Waschmaschine sowie eine Geschirrspülmaschine, ein Fön, ausreichend Geschirr und Besteck, Essig, Öl, Mülltüten, etc. Ja sogar Kaffee und das berühmte Mokkakännchen standen uns zur Verfügung. Es waren nur Kleinigkeiten wie z.B. eine Saftpresse, Eierbecher oder zwischen den ganzen Stadtführern auch mal eine deutsche Variante, die man hätte vermissen können, wenn überhaupt . . . Marina ist eine tolle und unkomplizierte Gastgeberin, die umgehend auf Fragen antwortet. Sie hat uns bei der Ankunft am Treffpunkt abgeholt und ist mit uns zum Haus gefahren. Sie hat uns das Haus gezeigt und die Bedienung der technischen Geräte erklärt(es gibt zwei sehr gut funktionierende Klimaanlagen!), gezeigt wo man das Auto parken kann und erklärt, wie die Müllabholung in Conversano funktioniert. Ein rundum gelungener Service. Unser Fazit: Wenn man sich einen ursprünglichen Urlaub in mitten einer apulischen Altstadt nicht entgehen lassen möchte, ist man mit dieser Unterkunft ideal beraten. Man hat kurze Fuß-Wege in die Stadt zu den unzähligen Cafés, Pizzerien und Restaurants, ist mit dem Auto in 20 Minuten am nächsten Strand(Capitolo, Torre Egnazia) oder auch mal in einer guten dreiviertel Stunde in die zweitgrößte Metropole Süditaliens - nach Bari - gefahren, wo man ausgiebig shoppen kann.

Charmante location

Nous avons été enchantés par notre semaine à Conversano. L'appartement est idéalement situé en plein centre de la vieille ville, qui a beaucoup de cachet. Spacieux, refait à neuf, il est également climatisé dans les chambres, ce qui est un luxe appréciable en plein été. La petite terrasse, quand la nuit est tombée, est bien agréable. A conseiller.

Tolle Ferienwohnung mitten in der Altstadt

Sehr schönes, toll renoviertes Haus mit ganz viel Charme. Die Ausstattung ist super, vom Toilettenpapier, über genügend Handtücher und sogar Strandtücher. Verlässt man am Abend die Wohnung ist man direkt im italienischen Treiben. Tolle neapolitanische Pizza und leckerer Cappuccino direkt um die Ecke. Great place to stay and an ideal base for the area

Stayed for 12 nights in Lanova and had a great time. House has everything you need and is all fresh and clean - good comfortable beds and modern bathrooms and showers. Balconies are lovely to sit out on. Conversano is a good base and the town has some great restaurants and cafes. Would definitely stay again if in this area. Thanks!

Fantastic place to stay.

We stayed here a week and it was perfect. Marina and her brother Roberto were so accommodating and helpful. The apartment was large, clean and had everything you needed. Great location as you could walk to everything in Conversano. Great restaurants and sidewalk cafés. Great small village Italian style experience. Don't miss it. Get a car to visit the close by villages that are just as charming! Would recommend this to anyone wanting a real local Italian experience and go out in the evening with the locals to enjoy the streets filled with music people and food! A must place to go in southern Italy!!!

Perfect base for touring Puglia

We spent three weeks in Jatta as our base for touring Puglia and found the apartment clean & well equipped. It's quite pleasant, wider than the normal home, with plenty of light & comfortable beds & lots of nice linens. Quality furnishings & a comfortable sofa for watching TV. Marina's brother Giuseppe showed us a place nearby for free parking. We had little trouble getting a spot there whenever we returned from a day trip. The listing says 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, sleeps 5, however the description mentions two bathrooms. Off the kitchen there's a toilet in a small room with the washer & a laundry sink. This is very handy, but I wouldn't call it a bathroom, so the first description is actually correct. In addition to the two bedrooms (one each on 2nd & 3rd floor), there's a single bed in a loft area of the 3rd floor. Ample space for storing suitcases and belongings. We had some problems with the TV & internet connection, but Giuseppe came with a friend and they fixed the TV & installed a new wifi Cube. The internet service is sporadic but it's not the fault of the owners. There's not great cell or internet coverage in Puglia and the Cube was not getting a strong signal from the satellite during part of each day. Once we got acclimated to the timing we managed fine. Just steps away from the castle & wide piazza the apartment affords the chance to be part of the town's social life. We enjoyed festivals, music and food events as well as easy local shopping. There are bakeries, a rotisserie chicken market, meat markets and a couple vegetable markets within a 5-10 minute walk. As you pass under the arch from the residential street onto the main piazza area there's a wonderful little restaurant called A219. We got to know the owner Nicola, so if you go, tell them John & Nancy recommended it. He also has a store on Piazza Aldo Moro called Masi with fresh-made cheeses, jams and other organic products. Really good. Our other favorite eatery is Miei Amici in the piazza off Via Rosselli next to Via Conte Cosimo. It features pork products from Nocie including mortadella made from cingale (wild boar) which they serve grilled in chunks. A wonderful treat. There's a fabulous pastry & chocolate shop across the street on Via Rosselli. The best (and most exotic) gelato is at Pasha on Piazza Castello. Take the Conversano Lippizaner carriage ride outside town. We loved our little cassetta & having made many friends in town, we plan on staying there again.
