Set in a beautiful South Hams rural Location at Downton Lodge, Country Bed and Breakfast, with beautiful walks in the area from the property, The self catering Barn has been refurbished and decorated to a high standard, we have tried to include everything we can to make your stay both comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms have beautiful countryside views over rolling farmland to the sea in the distance at the mouth of the river Dart. There is a lovely balcony where you can eat breakfast an evening meal or just sit and ponder. The apartment is suitable for two adults with one child an additional double en-suite bedroom on the ground floor can be booked at additional cost therefore the property would be suitable for 4 adults, For those wanting further accommodation the barn is adjacent to Downton Lodge Country Bed and Breakfast, (subject to availability) more details can be found online.

Absolutely magical break away from it all.

Lovely country getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the Barn at Downton Lodge. The facilities in the barn were exceptional and very modern and we felt very at home. The location is great for walkers and is not far from Dartmouth and local beaches. Andrew and Martin were excellent hosts, very welcoming and helpful and communication was very good throughout. We would love to come back!

Quite, rural & excellent accommodation

Accommodation set in lovely rural area. Spectacular views, lovely walks & very good hosts. The accommodation has been very well thought out & caters for every need. Hosts are on hand if you want them for anything, but leave you to your own devices otherwise making them perfect hosts. Highly recommend this to anybody looking for an escape to chill out and relax in comfort.

well looked after

Excellent, modern barn conversion with everything you need for a lovely stay .Our hosts were there when we arrived and when we left but were unobtrusive the rest of the time so perfect customer service.

The Perfect Escape

A week at Downton Manor Barn was just what we needed. Set in stunning scenery, it provided us with all the home comforts we could need and more. Andrew and Martin were the perfect hosts - they couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. We had an amazing holiday...highlights were a visit to the Anchorstone Cafe by the pretty Dittisham Quay and the discovery of Blackpool Sands beach. We can’t recommend Downton Lodge barn enough.
