Reservoirs!!! We just never know. Sorry you had high water level water. We normally have a beautiful beach for all our our beach toys and boats (and our huge family). You did not have good luck. Last weekend was the first times the yellow jackets showed up. Thanks to you and your family for leaving the place in such an honorable fashion. Glad you enjoyed the cabin and your stay. April and family, A Christmas gift to your family~~ that was a great idea! And celebrating your husband’s birthday at the cabin was really special. Breathtaking views and comfort in this cozy cabin is something we often hear. Thank you so very much for leaving the “Lake Place” in such a neat and respectful way. That and your comments about how you loved your get-away from worries of every-day life here in the woods certainly make us feel happy and appreciated. Hi Jamie, It was the all-time heat record here the week of your visit. Yes, it was a triple-digit hot one, and that wasn’t anything we’ve ever experienced in our pervious 35 years! That seemed to bring out more bees :( which we are diligent about exterminating each spring and early summer). We feel badly about these unfortunate circumstances of nature. Two dozen family members were there last weekend. Most love sleeping under the stars. It was hot, then we had a shower and had to rush all the sleeping gear under the eaves and inside ~~~ more memories living off the grid on the shores of Lake Roosevelt. Hello Gary and Karen! Of course and we’d welcome you back! Enjoying the deck and view is something we love also. You were the perfect guests and we wish you could have had a few more days. We loved the guest book part from one of the kids, “I learned to surf and even caught a Rainbow trout.” A precious memory. The lake level came down 6 feet this past week, so it’s much more normal now, as are the temperatures. Thanks for the tidy and respectful way you left the cabin. Oh my! Your many compliments about our cabin and your stay there are beautiful. I want to use some of your quotes on our website! You are in the majority of people who say the “huge deck, which has an amazing view” is a highlight. Also, the way you described the area of the lake (smooth water perfect for water-sports, fishing, and safety of mooring your boat there) are some of the main reasons we bought that particular location. We are happy you chose us, and that you are happy you did. We have great appreciation for you and your family for the respectful and tidy way you left “the cabin” at the end of your stay. Standing on the deck and looking out over the incredible view is everyone's favorite thing to do out at the cabin! We are happy it was yours as well.
