Perfect getaway!

Our family of 6 truly enjoyed our stay! The room was super clean when we arrived. Staff at the Islander was very helpful if we needed anything. The walk to the beach was under 5 mins and super easy to get too. Both pools on the grounds were clean and well kept. We will be staying here again!

Beautiful view!

Condo was very clean and tidy. Had an abundance of kitchen supplies and dishes. Our kids enjoyed playing a board game that was there. Plenty of room for our family of 6!

Friend time together

We did a girls weekend and had a blast at this property. It was clean and had everything we needed. The beach chairs, that are included with the unit, makes it easy to just show up at the beach and relax. I will be coming back.

Good family fun

We had a great time. Everything was clean. We loved how they offered fun free things for the kids everyday. The kids looked forward to it every day. My only complaint about our trip was that check in was at 3 and we arrived a little after 3 but it room still wasn't ready and we had to wait 20 or 30 mins and the ice cream we had got right before arriving had melted. But everything else was wonderful! Would definitely stay again!

We are sorry that you had some difficulty with the check in process and your ice cream melted. As it says in the agreement, check in starts at 3PM and is guaranteed by 5PM. Yearly vacation

We had towels stained with blood as well. The refrigerator had something spoiled In it at one time. We had to clean with bleach and set out baking soda and use Lysol the whole time to try to remove the stench of rotten meat. It also seems like everytime we go one elevator is broken.

Overall nice stay despite challenges!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was in good shape overall. It was spacious and enough room for everyone. The two bathrooms were very useful. We had a good view as well. However, there is room for improvement. The tile floor was very dirty. We wiped up a wet spot with a white towel and it was black. So we kept on socks or shoes the entiire time. I did request housekeeping to come the following morning to clean the floors. Then I was able to see why the floors were dirty. They basically used a cloth steam mop that really can’t do a good job. There were places in the master bath where you could see the dirt encrusted on the floor. The rug in the living room was clearly dirty. It was beige but dingy looking. Also some of the living room furniture looked worn with spots.Although there is designated space for smoking, folks smoke on balconies, in common areas, etc. We could not fullly enjoy our balcony because we were met with constant smoke. Its unfortunate because it was a lovely view. This unit was supposed the be ‘platnium’ although I am not convinced. If this is the case I would be curious to see a bronze unit. The staff on the day we arrived was very helpful. The young lady even offered to mop the floor the instead of waiting for housekeeping the next day. I appreciated that. I went to confirm housekeeping the next morning and that staff person did not seem to know what I was talking about so there was some miscommunication...yet overall staff was friendly. The beach service was nice although you had to be there extra early to get a spot but well worth it in the end.

Very Nice Condo

The unit itself was very nice, well kept, and we did not experience any major issues during our visit.The view from the balcony was a great bonus. You can see the jetty, the inlet, and the Gulf beyond that. It is important to note that this is not a direct beach view unit, but that is clearly stated in the listing, so there were no surprises.The condo building itself does show some age. As another reviewer mentioned, we did experience a few times where the elevator did not open automatically like it should have. Other than that, everything worked well and our stay was very enjoyable.If you are planning to spend a lot of time on the beach and want to use the complimentary umbrella and chairs, I would recommend getting out very early. The information states that chairs are set up at 7:00 a.m. On our first day, we went out around 7:05, and the entire front row was already “reserved” with towels. Unfortunately, many of those chairs sat empty with towels on them until after lunch. My wife went out one morning around 6:30 and said people were already placing towels out to reserve their spots on the sand.With an attendant already on the beach from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., it seems like there could be a better system to manage chair reservations and ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to enjoy the beach.Overall, though, we had a wonderful experience. The location was great, the condo was comfortable, and the balcony view was fantastic. We especially enjoyed watching the Thursday night fireworks from the boardwalk right from our balcony. We would definitely consider staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again! The condo was very clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location. The private beach was absolutely beautiful, and having complimentary beach service with chairs and an umbrella included was such a great perk. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and having a Target less than 7 minutes away made it very convenient for anything we needed.The only downside was that there wasn’t a washer and dryer in the unit, although there is a laundry facility available on-site. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but an in-unit washer and dryer would have made the stay even better.Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

A good stay in Destin. The condo was clean and check in was easy and fast. Located just steps away from the Beach and you get an umbrella and chair which makes it convenient. Short drives to get to any attractions or restaurants. The waterpark was only about 6 minutes away.

Lots of middle aged kids throwing things off the balcony at the people in the pool too far to beach hotel blocking beach views one elevator working long waits to enter and exit condo

Wonderful

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
