Cottage with private hot tub
The Hayloft is a beautiful one bedroom cottage with a private outdoor hot tub, sheltered underneath a gazebo, in the south west facing garden. The cottage is perfect for couples with a king size bed upstairs and can also used for families or sleep up to 4 adults by using the double sofa bed downstairs (it is a 3 seater sofa giving a good size double sofa bed).
There is a separate bathroom upstairs with an electric shower over the bath, w.c. and wash basin. The kitchen/lounge/diner is open plan and the kitchen is fully equipped including fridge freezer, built in oven/hob, microwave and washing machine. The lounge has a smart television and a DVD player and a Smart TV can also be found in the bedroom upstairs.
The Hayloft is centrally heated and the windows are double glazed. The garden also has outdoor seating and a barbecue as well as being fully enclosed with a grass area ideal for dogs. Parking is available outside the cottage for two cars.
The cottage is non-smoking but pet friendly and can accommodate up to two dogs (small/medium) for a small additional charge (please add as an extra when you are booking). All linen and towels are included for your stay.
Green View Lodges is a charming lodge park offering four self-catering lodges and one cosy cottage in the rural village of Welton. Located just four miles north of the Lake District National Park, our location provides easy access to stunning scenery and outdoor adventures. Welton is also close to the West Cumbrian coast, including the beautiful Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making it an ideal base for exploring both inland and coastal attractions.
All accommodation is pet friendly, welcoming furry family members to join your stay. The lodges are ground floor only, providing convenient and accessible living spaces, while the cottage (The Hayloft), is split over two floors. The smallest lodge comfortably sleeps four guests, while the larger lodges can accommodate six to seven people, making them perfect for family getaways. The Hayloft, suitable for couples or small groups, sleeps two to four and features a private hot tub, offering a perfect retreat to unwind in style. The site is also perfect for family or group gatherings where multiple units can be booked together.
Outside, each lodge has its own fire pit, ideal for barbecues or relaxing evenings around a warm fire while watching the sunset. Guests can enjoy the leisure suite, which includes a six-person hot tub and a three-person sauna—a wonderful way to relax after a day exploring the surrounding area. The region offers a wealth of activities suitable for all ages, including walking, cycling, water sports, quad-biking, shopping, cultural visits, historical excursions, and wildlife encounters—ensuring there’s something for everyone regardless of the weather.
For dog owners, there are plenty of outdoor opportunities. We are just a 15-minute walk from the river and the Cumbria Way, which offers scenic routes for long or short walks. Additionally, we have a fully enclosed dog exercise area for off lead fun whilst on site. Our local pubs are also dog friendly, welcoming wet and muddy paws!
