Hi Emily, Thank you for your review. Glen Cottage in Braithwaite is very handy for the village shop and the 2 pubs close by serve great food and real ales from the local area. There are plenty of walks right from the doorstep including Barrow and Grisedale Pike or just a walk in to Keswick where there are lots of quirky shops, most of which are dog friendly. Hi there! Thank you so much for your lovely and detailed review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay in Braithwaite and found the cottage so well located for walking, cycling, and exploring the area, with transport links close by. It’s great to know you found everything you needed for a comfortable stay, from the well?equipped kitchen and appliances to the cosy beds and excellent bathroom for relaxing after a busy day. We’re especially pleased the parking and electric charging point were useful — they can take a little working out at first, so we appreciate your patience! It’s also lovely to hear the porch proved handy for storing all the wet walking gear, and that the garden, freezer, and laundry facilities all added to your stay, even if the weather wasn’t quite warm enough to enjoy the garden fully. Thank you as well for your helpful comment about the temperature upstairs — we’re glad this was easily adjusted during your stay. Feedback like this is always appreciated. We’re so pleased you had an enjoyable stay overall and would be very happy to welcome you back again in the future. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages
