Casa da Carqueja is located in the heart of the Alta of Coimbra, a "UNESCO World Heritage" site.
Offering a balcony with an astonishing view of Coimbra and the river, Casa da Carqueja is just 50m away from Sé Velha (Old Cathedral), 5min walk to the University of Coimbra, Museu Machado de Castro and Downtown.
In just 10 min walking it is possible to reach the beautiful park near the river. This is the perfect location to enjoy Coimbra and visit all the historical World Heritage sites.
There are plenty restaurants and cafes nearby Casa da Carqueja.

We had a lovely stay in this traditional Portuguese home. The host was very welcoming and left us pastel de nata’s the night before we left! A very sweet gesture.

Nuno and Isabell were wonderful. This apartment is spacious and charming. It is VERY centrally located with a grocery and restaurant just around the corner.

Great location in wonderful city

We enjoyed our stay very much! The apartment is right in the historic center and you can do everything walking. We had a nice and warm welcome. Definitely a place to recommend!

Our host was so helpful and attentive. There are a lot of small important details. Nice coffee provided, nice soap in shower, nice breakfast cakes. The accommodation is in great location, and was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you Nuno for all your help!

Very spacious apartment in great central location, although parking is a bit of a challenge. Nuno was a great help with check in and recommendations for parking. Fantastic view of the river from the apartment. Loved it!

The host and her brother were great. Very good communications. Her brother was very helpful with both sending us text messages via WhatsApp to both find the apartment and get parking close by. There were some interior maintenance issues: peeling paint from two ceiling areas and a non working window.Location was OUTSTANDING! Easy to walk to all areas we wanted to see.

Great location. Rustic but Charming

This place is located in a wonderful spot above all of the cafés and in the middle of the University. The apartment has wonderful views all around the city. The beds and pillows could stand a small upgrade. But I would stay there again.

I can not check in because the address provided was wrong, I can not contact the hostess, the area supposed to be this property was terrible so I have to find a hotel for 2 nights in Coimbra

Perfect location in Coimbra

This is a simple apt but has the essentials. A bit shabby but beds and showers were good. Great location but difficult to find. The property manager was great as she came and found us and took us to the apt. She also provided helpful info. Very responsive.

Très bien situé au cœur de Coimbra et espace de stationnement à proximité. Si vous n’aimez pas les rues étroites et les espaces de stationnement restreints cet emplacement n’est pas pour vous. Cependant nous avons bénéficier d’un accompagnement de Nuno pour l’arrivée et pour trouver un stationnement gratuit à proximité, merci Nuno! Le vieux Coimbra (près de l’Université) n’est pas un endroit où il est facile de circuler car les rues sont étroites et peu d’endroits pour stationner. Mais une fois stationné tout se fait à pied.L’appartement n’est pas récent et aurait besoin d’un peu de peinture mais les chambres et les aires communes sont spacieuses. La cuisine est petite mais fonctionnelle.

Location was excellent, in the middle of all that you would want to be near to. Communication with the host was excellent and their availability and response times were great. The building itself was under renovations on the exterior and meant early rise with employees beginning their work day. Not an issue for us! Apartment was a couple of floors up which provided great vistas, but meant stairs with luggage. Overall, a great location, wonderful host and a clean, well kept location with plenty of space.

Es una casa antigua, reformada, con mucha personalidad. Espaciosa, con techos altos, bien ventilada y con mucha luz. La vista desde el balcón muy bonita. La ubicación perfecta para conocer el centro histórico de la ciudad.
