Nestled within the serene Cliffside village of Oia on the tip of Santorini, this spacious villa offers a unique blend of traditional cave-style architecture and modern comforts. Spread across two levels, it provides enchanting views of the sea, volcano, and caldera from its two private terraces. Despite its tranquil location, the villa is centrally situated, allowing guests easy access to Oia's famous sunset, charming cafes, and boutique shops.

The location is in the center of the village but off the main village path and reached by broad stairs. All of Oia is within an easy walk, including the famous Oia sunset, cafes, restaurants, private chapels, and shops.

Recently renovated, the villa features a cozy bedroom with an ensuite bathroom on the lower level, boasting a comfortable double bed. The upper level comprises two sofa beds, providing additional sleeping arrangements, a fully-equipped kitchen with a dinner table, and access to the terrace. Guests can unwind in the seating area on the bedroom terrace or relax in the small sofa by the hot tub on the upper terrace, all while soaking in the breathtaking views.

Each morning, guests are treated to a delightful breakfast served against the backdrop of the stunning volcano and the picturesque village of Oia, creating an unforgettable dining experience.

Whether relaxing in the comfort of the villa or exploring the beauty of Santorini, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the tranquility and charm of this exceptional retreat.

Kindly be informed that according to the new Greek law, which was imposed on all properties located in Greece, the city tax paid so far by the hotels’ guests, was renamed to Climate Resilience Tax. Great stay

Had a wonderful stay! Beautiful, clean, updated home. Perfect location, but be prepared for lots of stairs (and people waiting in line for pictures)- not a problem for us but could be for anyone with mobility issues. Breakfast delivered every morning along with daily cleaning. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

Honeymoon

This lovely villa was the start of our honeymoon adventure throughout Greece, and I could not have picked a better place. While it is quite a climb to get down to it, the view was well worth it. Breakfast every morning was light, healthy, and delicious. They also deliver it to your door! Which we loved... Highly recommend for a romantic get away.

Little slice of paradise

Sitting in the pool overlooking the caldera and watching the sunset (at least what you can see before it drops behind the crest of the houses in Oia) was amazing. As a family of 3, the set up was nice in that my daughter slept upstairs and us in the bed downstairs. The downstairs bedroom is the only access to the bathroom, but that wasn't a problem for us at all. We had the owners pick us up at the ferry, take us to meet the porter and concierge, and show us to the apartment. It was seamless (other than the driver driving like a wild man!). Our stay was lovely and the unit was pretty private for the neighborhood (basically at the end of the path so no one walking in front of the property), plus, the area of the unit has a rope and then a chain stopping people who aren't staying in the rentals below from coming down and taking pictures/making noise. That said, my only disappointment in Oia, which is separate from the unit itself, was that there was a constant stream of girls/women in the same dress/different color coming down to certain photographic spots from sunrise to around 11am taking professional pictures. It was rather distracting as we sat drinking coffee and admiring the amazing view in the morning, like a train wreck that you can't stop looking at. It wasn't a huge bother, I just wished they weren't there so I could just admire the view, but I guess that's just part of the experience! This unit is really amazing and you'll enjoy it, for sure! Especially if you go when it's not peak season of the summer (we were there the last week of August) and the price would be more reasonable! Lastly, the concierge, Mary, was great and booked dinner reservations for us as well as offered many suggestions. We ate at 3 of the 6 restaurants she suggested for dinner and they were all excellent!

Great view in privacy

Loved the views everyday, morn, afternoon, evening. Got a kick looking at the famous blue dormed church everyday. Private too, no stray tourist down the restricted path. The heated jacuzzi was superb in the cool weather, and a highlight on its own.

I still think this was a dream... SO UNREAL!

This property was simply unbelievable. My husband and I rented this for three nights for our honeymoon and it was breathtaking! Our host, Catherine, was AMAZING! She set up reservations for our dinner, had our car rental delivered to us, and so much more. She helped set up a transfer from the port, where we were taken to meet the porter who took our bags down the steps to our property and showed us around our room. There was daily house service that made up the beds, changed the towels, and took care of the jacuzzi maintenance. The view is unbelievable and the jacuzzi was the perfect place to come back and relax. The kitchen has everything we needed during our stay, the bed and bathroom downstairs were beautiful as well. I cannot say enough good things about this property and the wonderful people who made our stay so unforgettable! Thank you!!!

The home was beautiful and like new. Unbelievable views. Everywhere you turn was a photo opportunity. It was a dream come true. Thanks to our porter, Tim, and property manager and concierge, Tina, who took great care of us and Faris and Tina for sharing their home.

Amazing experience and views

Everywhere you turn in Santorini is a photo opp. This cave house was exactly what we looking for as the views from the terrace are mesmerizing. It is a few flights of stone stairs to the main streets of Oia where there are many shops and restaurants. The porter carried our bags which was much appreciated. Stupendous location. If you go eat at Gepsis and ask for Chris(during the season). Also do yourself a favor and walk from Oia to Thira or vice versa.

Great location - close to restaurants and shopping etc. Beautiful deck!!!

We enjoyed a very relaxing week in Oia Santorini. The Big Blue is in a great location - close to shops and restaurants. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the beautiful view. Deck is also a good location for taking sunset pictures. The villa has no access by car with lots of walking which is exactly what we were looking for. Fanis and Tina have a shuttle service to and from the airport along with porter to help haul luggage which we would highly recommend. Oia is a very popular location so crowds along the main streets can be overwhelming at times. Good public transportation around the island. Catherine was very helpful at booking any tours etc. Island has many boat tours, winery tours and walking trails. Not sure if we will ever get a chance to be back in Santorini again, but we would definitely book The Big Blue Villa again and recommend this villa to other travellers.

View of a lifetime

The view from the patio is amazing. Some of the best picture I took in Oia came from the patio. The villa is amazing, almost like you are staying in a 5 star resort, without the tourist. So clean and comfortable. The best part of my trip was staying in this villa, Catherine our host was phenomenal. She arrange for our transportation on our arrival and departure. She gave us suggestions and was such a great person. I've stayed in many Homeaway properties throughout the years, this is possibly one of the best. I highly recommend this Villa you will not regret it, it will make your trip to Oia so memorable.

Beautiful place, clean and comfortable, with an amazing location close to the iconic santorini domes

My wife and I loved this place in Oia. It was our honeymoon and we treated oursleves and were glad we did. The apartment is spacious! And very clean. Location is second to none, 30 yards from the iconic blue domes!! Catherine came by and gave us recommendations and even called two restaurants to book us tables for the sunsets during our stay! So thankful we chose the big blue villa!

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung in Top Lage

Wir haben unseren Urlaub im Big Blue sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Alles ist vorhanden, sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein, herrlichster Blick auf das Meer aber auch auf Oia. Was unbedingt zu erwähnen ist, man fühlt sich von den vielen Gästen die Oia besichtigen, kein bisschen gestört, da niemand direkt am Balkon vorbei laufen kann. Ein besonderen Dank an den Gepäckträger der trotz erschwerten Bedingungen unser Gepäck bis vor die Haustür gebracht und wieder abgeholt hat. Das unsere Wohnung täglich gereinigt wurde hat uns auch sehr gefreut. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder einmal in Santorin bzw. in "The big Blue " Urlaub machen und werden es ohne Vorbehalte weiter empfehlen. Herzlichen Dank für diese schöne Zeit.

Absolute georgeous, breathtaking views and great location!

My family and I had an unforgettable experience at the property and with the landlord. Our ferry was cancelled and therefore we didn't arrive at the port until 4AM but as promised the landlord arranged for us to be picked up and had someone meet us at the villa at that ungodly hour so we could rest. The property itself is so beautiful and spacious. The views are breathtaking. The villa is right in the center of everything, just a few minutes away from the public bus stop which will take you to Thira for late night shopping or dinning. Amazing experience I would recommend this property to everyone I know and don't know.

Oia, pronounced Ia, is the most famous of all villages of Santorini. It is known throughout the world for its quiet life and fantastic sunset, and is certainly the most beautiful and picturesque village of Santorini. The village is also situated on top of an impressive cliff and offers a spectacular view over the volcano of Palia and Nea Kameni and the island of Thirassia. Oia is situated on the north of the island, 11 km away from Fira.

It is a traditional village with charming houses in narrow streets, blue domed churches, and sun-bathed verandas. Its streets have plenty of tourist shops, taverns, cafes, and other shops. Oia is much more quiet that Fira and the busiest area is the main pedestrian that runs along its length. At the entrance of the village is a car park where visitors can leave their vehicle and enjoy long walks in the picturesque paths. The volcano from here is much less imposing but you can still get some gorgeous views.
