A beautiful modern house nestled within the heart of Teignmouth, Teign House in South Devon this is perfect in every way. Sleeping up to 14 guests in seven large light filled bedrooms, it’s a place to bring family or friends and make truly special memories. The lounge area is tastefully decorated and supremely restful. The spacious kitchen area is equipped for everything you need from sunny breakfasts to lazy lunches.
A magnificent long room with plenty of comfy armchairs to relax in after time wandering along the beach its the ideal socialising space. Kids can crash out in the cinema room with the large 90” flat screen TV or burn off some energy in the games room.

Fabulous summer holiday stay with extended family group of mixed ages

We have just returned from a week long stay with 10 members of our extended family aged between 12-76 and this house worked brilliantly for us. From the location, which is close to both the beach and local amenities, to the property itself which has ample sized bedrooms, more than enough bathrooms and great social spaces - the games room and cinema room were both very well used - this is a great property for a family stay of all ages.

Our family stay for my 80th

It was perfect for our needs. The only negative was because of its location the hot tub noise was magnified and a neighbour was not happy we only used it once in the evening as we felt we didn't want to upset anyone.

Not what we thought we were getting

The property is listed as a villa, but is a townhouse. The lack of parking and arrangements for this only became clear when the check in details were sent to us. There were no fans,no mirrors in the rooms , hair or clothes drying facility, which is usual for properties in this price range. When queries were emailed and messages sent on the VRBO website, there were delays in the response from the host. Cleaning was paid for separately, however what was not made clear was that the property had to be vacated to be cleaned and there was no flexibility in the time for this. This was not made clear despite repeat e mails and messages. Cleaners when asked to wait would stand looking at their watches and appeared quite annoyed, leaving us with an unpleasant start to the day. Property is clean with good facilities but is not accurately listed.
