この施設について

Entire Guest House. Cosy, self contained & rural.

This flint-walled little Guest House is set in the quiet village of Hankham, near Pevensey. Ideal for relaxing, walking and biking. The Guest House is self-contained, with a small, functional handmade pine kitchen and a lovely little private garden, which is secure for dogs.
There are horses in the stables, ducks and moorhens on the pond. Ideal for a couple that enjoy the outdoors and we can make up another bed or two for children.
We can recommend some excellent biking and hiking routes to suit all abilities. The South Downs and beach is just a short drive from the Guest House.
CCTV covers the driveway, parking area, and the Guest House main entrance.
Please note:
The Guest House is next to the Manor House, and over the fence at the back of the Guest House garden there is an Oast House. Both are beautiful and historic buildings, and are in close proximity to where you will be staying. Not a negative at all, but worth knowing.

Had a wonderful weekend with fantastic hospitality. Fab location for exploring the area and the cottage was perfect for a little rest and relaxation. A beautiful and serene setting.

It felt like we had been in France!

This an ideal small property for anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful location close to some lovely places. The enclosed rear courtyard was ideal for meals out of doors. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and we were blessed with beautiful weather. Highly recommended.

Our recent stay at Fiona and Angus’s cottage was fabulous. The home was immaculate upon arrival, with every amenity thoughtfully provided for a comfortable and relaxing experience.The property is ideally situated, making it easy to explore the local area. On a quiet property, but very close to the A27. We enjoyed being close to popular attractions, shops and a pub, which made outings convenient and enjoyable.Fiona and Angus were incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. Communication before and during our stay was clear and helpful, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches such as local recommendations and a welcome package with snacks and fresh farm eggs. Fiona met us as we arrived and often throughout our stay and we very much enjoyed our chats! We highly recommend this VRBO property to anyone seeking a pleasant and hassle-free stay. We would not hesitate to book again for our next visit. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience!

wonderful experience

I had a wonderful time at Angus and Fiona's beautiful timeless little house, and thank you Fiona for going out of your way to make sure I was comfortable as the weather was getting colder. And also for the delicate attentions during my stay. The location, historical depth and beauty of this old farmstead is unique. I highly recommend.

Peaceful perfect retreat

Part of a beautiful old flint manor, the cottage adjoins the farmhouse but maintains full privacy. It is perfectly equipped, comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. Fiona & Angus were very happy to answer my questions about bed options and travel requirements and we enjoyed going to the air show. We will return. There are 3 local pubs, farm shop, garden centre, tesco etc..

Beautiful Cottage

The host Fi, sent directions and photos of how to find the property. We found it with no issues whatsoever. On arrival the location was just beautiful and the cottage was really pretty. It had an enclosed courtyard at the back of the property which was perfect for our GSD, however Fi advised that we could use her mums large enclosed garden to give her a run off the lead. The property was perfectly laid out and we had shortbread biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco to greet us and some freshly picked flowers from their garden. Hela even had her own doggie treats. The bed was so comfortable. There was a pub close by and also a Chinese Takeaway which was really delicious. We really can't thank Fi enough for her hospitality and are looking forward to booking again.

Seaside and Country cottage

This cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay, ideal for visits to seaside or country. Fiona made us very welcome with treats on our arrival and local information.

Great getaway

We stayed down over the Christmas break and loved every minute. We had the warmest of welcomes from Fiona and Angus and the property is exactly as advertised. The location is really quiet exactly as we wanted and dog safe too. Great location to access local beaches and towns. We will definitely be back if we are in the area.

Cosy guesthouse

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay with our dogs. Only slight downside was the poisonous berries in the garden but given the time of year it can’t be helped. Angus was really responsive to my many pre booking and pre check in questions and the surroundings were beautiful. The little welcome pack was also a really nice touch.

Cottage for two near beach and south downs

Wonderfully relaxing holiday. Welcoming friendly hosts next door. Characterful flint-stone cottage, peaceful rural location. Short drive to beach and south downs. Comfortable & well appointed with a secure courtyard garden, perfect for our dog.

Great stay

We had a lovely time my wife and I as did our dog, plenty of space for the 3 of us and the garden area was secure for the dog as well. Angus was very friendly and the biscuits and eggs were very much appreciated.

Delightful cottage and amazing hosts

The rental process prior to arriving was seemless and our stay, was made all the the special due to the hosts Angus and Fi, who were very attentive. The location was great for us, near to family and lots to do and see. We certainly hope to return. Thank you

Secluded cottage

Although we enjoyed our short stay the cottage was overlooked by neighbours and was attached to the main property. I would have expected my family or friends to stay after 2300 hrs or even stay the night if that’s what I wanted! But was informed that all guests must leave by 2300 hrs I can understand a no smoking policy inside the cottage but outside in fresh air is not acceptable and although I don’t smoke I feel that a total ban was inappropriate.
