This CHARMING Villa commands an enviable location with stunning views over the Ocean. The traditional features combine with contemporary facilities, to offer luxury spacious accommodation.
From the sweeping marble staircase to the full length upper Balcony, the property exudes space to relax, breathe and to enjoy the serenity of this peaceful village.
The Infinity Pool is the prime feature of the Villa, measuring a generous 10 metres by 4 metres, with depth from 1.2 metres to 1.5 metres. Heated all year. The Villa faces south, guaranteeing sun on the Pool from 10am until Sunset. Likewise, all rooms within the property enjoy the same South facing elevation and magnificent Ocean views.

OPEN PLAN living areas are light and spacious, and the Kitchen is fully fitted with all appliances including an Espresso machine and a generous variety of kitchen utensils. Space to relax is provided by three Sofas in the Lounge, 50" TV, DVD player. Internet speed of Mpbs 1000/400. And the large Dining Table offers space to relax and enjoy the family meals.

UPSTAIRS three bedrooms offer comfort for up to 6 people. Custom made beds to our personal design, fitted with quality mattresses and Hotel style linens and Towels, guarantee a comfortable night's sleep. The bedrooms further benefit from large fitted wardrobes so that you may enjoy your holiday clutter free. The latest Air conditioning systems offer Heat or Cooling to suit the season, using Eco Air Heat Pump technology. The USB ports next to each bed allow convenience for everybody's gadgets.
The Master bedroom offers an en suite with spacious power shower and opening window. The Family bathroom offers another spacious power shower and opening windows. The bathrooms are complimented by an additional Ground floor bathroom with Toilet and wash basin. Hot Water is provided by an Eco Tank, again using the latest Air Heat Pump technology. Most electric is provided by the Islands Wind farms located on the plateau.

The POOL TERRACE and Gardens will be a delight for our Guests, and offer substantial additional facilities to enjoy. A large Granite table is provided for Al fresco dining, and a BBQ adjacent. Multi functional chairs that can be moved around as required. Sunbeds are provided for Guests to enjoy the sub Tropical climate, with generous sunshine and year round average daytime temperatures of 20c - 35c. When a Guest wishes to retreat from the Heat, the fitted shutters allow traditional control of sun, heat and airflow. Or the rear Courtyard under mature Palm Trees, allows a cooler retreat in the summer.

GARDEN. The Pool Terrace continues into a Pergoda covered Terrace overlooking the lawn and gardens below. Short staircases lead down to these additional spaces.
To one side is a large lawn area with formal gardens surrounding. To the other side is a wilder garden with native fruit trees and tropical plants. The maze path leading through this will be a delight for young children playing hide and seek. Or for Parents to retreat into the sunken garden. Next to the Maze garden is a Table Tennis Table and a large Chess set. Reliably designed to be suitable for the outdoors. Portuguese Azuelo Tiles decorate the spectator seating to one side. To the rear of this area is the secure parking for two cars, behind an electronic gate. Also offering peace of mind that children cannot wander accidentally into the road.

CALHETA is the prime Tourist area of Madeira and is on the less developed, Western side of the island. It consists of a cluster of villages. Located on the quieter side, Faja da Ovelha offers a peaceful location, but with convenient access 5 minutes away to join the recently extended Via Rapide.
From here it is convenient to start a days exploration of the island, or just to enjoy local attractions.

OR 12/15 minutes to Calheta Marina, with its Beach, Restaurants and Water activities.
OR 5/6 minutes down to Paul do Mar with Harbour front Restaurants and beach
OR 6/7 minutes to Jardim do Mar with Restaurants and Beach.

Madeira has much to offer the visitor. From Levada walks to Whale & Dolphin watching. Volcanic caves to mountain peaks of 6200 feet overlooking the Ocean that surrounds Madeira. Historic Funchal or just a simply relaxing sun holiday.
The Villa has been fitted with the maximum Guest comfort in mind, whatever your choice of holiday. Madeira is a friendly place and foreign visitors are welcome.

2. Infinity Pool - The Pool is heated between 26c and 32c depending upon the season. The Waterfall feature is a decorative item only, and is operated from 1st July to 30th September, to avoid Heat loss. A Net is provided for Guests to remove leaf debris during their stay.
3. We recommend Guests to take out the cheap travel insurance that is available, to cover all concerns, to remove any financial stress form your holiday plans.

Immaculately presented villa. Beautiful infinity pool with expansive views of the Atlantic. Lovely ‘secret’ garden stroll. A few nice restaurants recommended by the owners within 10-20 minute drive. Access to a Levada walk really close.

Absolutely brilliant

Lovely place. All very new. The Pool is very big and with a fantastic view over the sea. We could see for miles. The Villa also has a grand winding staircase that made us feel very privileged. A very comfortable stay and we will definitely be back. Thanks for having us

Gorgeous

Absolutely lovely villa, all newly done with a huge pool looking out over the ocean. We sat on the terrace in the evenings watching the sunset and looking for miles out across the sea. The villa was very spacious, all mod cons in the kitchen and air conditioning in every room. Super balcony upstairs making it feel really special, will definitely visit again with friends from our walking club.

Simply Fantastic

The property is located on the west side of the island which we personally loved, this must be he quietest place on planet earth, so peaceful Lovely warm sunshine all week, ideally placed to explore the island and approx 45 minutes from Funchal which suited us Views are fantastic, the property is modern, clean a good size, good facilities, pool is superb (although 1 slight comment regards putting the pool cover back on, you need at least 2 people to do that and someone either needs to be in pool on the infinity side or walk along the edge which isn’t ideal, but hey I’m English I have to moan about something, it’s part of my makeup) Supermarkets approx 10 mins drive away All in all one of THE best villas we have ever stayed in, we’d love to return one day

Hi Chris thank you for your review, I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We chose this location for all our Villas because the West side is the most popular for Tourism, and our village of Faja da Ovelha is just on the quiet edge of Calheta, yet easy to reach all facilities, by hopping onto the Via Rapide close by. We chose to construct a Pool larger than normal, so that Guests can utilize it for physical exercise as well as relaxation. The cover is therefore a little bit larger and heavier. A retaining hook has now been fitted to hold the rope handle in the open position, to make it's operation easier. This should be manageable by one adult. But alternatively a second member of the family can assist by walking very safely inside the Infinity waterfall trough. This summer has been fall of news of the heavy heat in mainland Europe and the consequence of wild fires etc. Madeira is currently enjoying 35c, but the Island topography provides the benefit of cooling winds from the Ocean. This makes the year round guaranteed warmth and sunshine, pleasant and bearable for "us English". Thank you for your custom and the added opportunity to show off our facilities. 5* Villa

My family of 6 stayed at this beautiful villa over May school half term. The communication including directions to the villa were great from Bob, clear and concise. On arrival at the villa we were all blown away at the quality and facilities the villa had to offer. The large heated pool was the highlight of the holiday and in constant use but in addition the table tennis table, chess set and French bowls were all great too. The kitchen facilities were 1st class and all meticulously clean. The beds were comfy and bathrooms well designed. My family had a brilliant stay and we're already talking about rebooking. A hire car is a must but we always have one as Maderia is so beautiful we love to tour the island with the maderia people so warm and friendly. 5 stars!

When we planned the renovation, we deliberately designed for a Pool larger than average, so that our Guests could enjoy the full benefit of it, and use it for daily exercise if required. Although Bill is very helpful, there is room for significant improvement.

Wonderful views, good size accommodation and some good facilities available (chess, swimming pool, table tennis table). Bill was extremely helpful and prompt in providing instructions on how to get to the villa, outlining activities to do on the island, restaurants and being available for support with any queries. However: 1. Internet. An ongoing issue for our two week vacation. Failed to work on a number of days which impacted work, use of tv and personal appliances. 2. Kitchenware. Some crockery and cutlery filthy. Cutting board dirty with food. 3. Floor. Dirty in a number of places. 4. Swimming pool. Not filled fully. Plastic chemical pool container was broken and contained no pool cleaner. Overflow function not operating and lights in pool not working. Pool floor dirty. One pool umbrella broken. 5. Linen and towels. It’s advertised that both linen and towels are changed for residents who stay for two weeks. The towels were not and a couple of white ones were dirty on arrival. 6. Electronic gate. Periodically did not open automatically and needed to be opened manually. 6. Grass. Uncut and therefore not possible to play the game of croquet provided. Further comments could be made but this should suffice to emphasise the property is not as advertised, is not value for money and is not being managed effectively.

We appreciate all feedback, to help us review and continually improve our processes. Like our other properties, the Tower has only ever received 5 star reviews, and has been in continuous occupation since March. I am acutely conscious of the issue raised with the Internet, and both myself and my Housekeeper, went to some lengths to investigate and resolve this. Including Engineer visit, new Router and special import of a mobile Hot spot device from the mainland, as a Reserve option. The issue was finally traced to a plug not being pushed in firmly, presumably as part of your own rational trouble shooting investigation. This issue could have been resolved sooner, if quicker responses had been given to my daily monitoring. During August, Madeira had a two week heatwave, on top of the normally high summer temperatures. The Camara rationed the supply of water for this period, impacting upon our ability to maintain the Pool to its fullest level, and consequently the Infinity overflow function. We could have communicated this better and have adapted our communication processes. Pool lights and Parking Gate are all very new and do work properly, but there are built in Timers or modes of operation that may be unfamiliar to the Guest, that are explained in the Villa brochure. Similarly, the lawn grass is a South African variety. English grass won’t survive the summer heat. It is kept trimmed to a suitable level for the climate and has never been an issue at this or our other properties. We assume sensible behaviour by our Guests, and if the preceding Guest put away cutlery items in the drawer whilst still dirty, this would normally have been spotted, but is unfortunate. Guest satisfaction is our absolute priority. The only issue communicated to us was the Internet. Nothing else was reported. If it had been, no matter how small, our Housekeepers would have been pleased to deal with it immediately. Whilst your review is disappointing, we will use it as a constructive exercise to examine what other "fail safes" we can put in place, to maintain our high standards. Unser Urlaub im Ferienhaus Blue Sea Tower mit 6 Personen war perfekt! Die großzügige Villa bietet alles, was man sich wünscht, eine moderne und geschmackvolle Einrichtung, große Küche, 3 Schlafzimmer mit Meeresblick, eine schöne Terrasse zum Sitzen, einen Pool, einen blumenreichen Garten, Ping-Pong, einen Grill und einen tollen Blick aufs Meer mit wunderschönen Sunsets. Alle Beschreibungen waren absolut richtig, die Kommunikation mit Bill Garfield nett und problemlos. Wir können diese Unterkunft bestens weiterempfehlen. :-)

Very nice place

Thank you Bill for allowing us to stay in your Holiday home. It was very very nice. Very clean and all very new. The Tower is very grand and made us feel quite special. As you promised, the Sea view was excellent. The map directions were very good also, and it was very easy to find the Villa. We wanted a quiet and peaceful location and this suited our needs perfectly. We will definitely be back but for longer next time. Thank you again Walter

Amazing place

This Villa really is lovely. It had more facilities than we needed. The swimming pool is huge and was nice and warm. It is in a nice quiet area and with an amazing sea view. I would definitely recommend this place.

Fabulous Villa

We booked a short break in this Villa as part of a longer stay on Madeira. So we could be close to the Levada Nova da Calheta. The Villa is newly refurbished and has been prepared very nicely. The Owners have included a lot of detail including a large Chess set in the garden, which we loved. Nice comfortable beds after a long day walking on the Levadas. I forgot my Driving Licence, but Bill directed us to a Rental Agency who organized a copy from the DVLC website. This was really helpful. All in all a fabulous stay and we will definitely be back.

Lovely Villa

We stayed in February, and it is a lovely Villa. It is very traditional but has been tastefully refurbished to include all mod cons. The view is just amazing with sea views from every room. The swimming pool is very large. Even though it was February, we were able to swim most days. The daily temperature was between 20c up to 26c. Very nice. There is a mini Supermarket 6 or 7 minutes away in Prazares. Opposite the BP petrol station. It has most things you need, including fresh bread. On Bill's recommended list of Restaurants, is O Farolim at Ponta do Pargo. Only a few minutes away. We would recommend this place for anybody wanting a proper restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay, and would like to come back with family. Thanks to Bill, who is very quick with his responses.

Lovely Villa

We were a bit anxious about flights because of possible travel restrictions. But actually everything went very smoothly. We went through Madeira Airport in 15 minutes. Arrived at the Villa in 25c in February !! Brilliant. What a lovely Villa. Newly done up. Super Tower on the side that houses the staircase, with a very posh floor. We had everything we could possibly need. My favourite part was watching the Falcons sitting on the Balcony or Garden bannisters. They would appear every day. My wife spent hours dreaming, just looking at the Ocean. Bill was super quick with communications. After two years of lockdowns this was a brilliant holiday. Absolutely loved it. Cant wait to go back.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Villa very much and we will certainly remember it for a long time to come. Our young daughter was delighted with the maze garden to one side. The walls with curved pathways were the same height as her head, which she found fascinating to explore. The highlight is the pool, which we used almost every day. It was a wonderful time there. You can spend hours just looking at the Ocean. Thank you for this lovely stay!

Great holiday!

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Sea Tower. The villa is spacious and clean, modern and well equipped. The views are extraordinary! Contact with the owner was very quick and lots of information was provided upfront to help us plan the holiday. This was very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Blue Sea Tower is an imposing building, commanding panoramic views over the Ocean.
It needed some TLC, and has now been completely renovated.
Balconies, Aircon, Bathrooms and Kitchen have been added. Plus of course the Infinity Pool. A Tower has also been added for the entrance, and secure parking.

The village of Faja da Ovelha is on the quieter side of Calheta, but easily accessed from the newly extended Via Rapide. This is a very peaceful location, and it is more common to hear the sounds of the Falcons flying overhead, than traffic.
Even so, Calheta Marina is only a 12 - 15 minute drive by car.
Or Ponta do Pargo restaurants can be reached in 5 minutes.
Superb Levada walking starts near by, or 15 minutes will put you on top of the Plateau for breath taking scenery, and spectacular walks.
