It was a cozy place by the sea, forest, and trail. Brightly colored rooms that were eclecticly decorated. Good communication with the host.

This home is in a beautiful location and cosy but good to be aware it's in a building shared with neighbors who are protective of their parking space.

We got there late at night and it made it a bit of a challenge, but honestly it was very clean and exactly as is shown in the pictures…the kitchen was well stocked with pans and cooking utensils, etc. it also had a small washer/dryer. The accommodations were not luxury, but at the price being offered compared to other places…it offered very good value…the host was responsive to our messages and accommodated our late night arrival! We had a nice time, he even had a big fan to help dry out clothes/shoes that might get wet while hiking around Isle of Skye!

The accommodation was quiet, private, and had a cozy, cabin-like feel. Having both a washer and dryer was a major plus, especially while traveling. The space is a little older and somewhat cluttered, which made it feel less fresh than some places we have stayed, though it may have been more about the age of the property than the actual cleanliness. The bedroom is upstairs while the bathroom is downstairs, so that is worth keeping in mind. Overall, it was a peaceful and private place to stay with some very useful amenities.

A quaint property in a quiet place. The Wi-Fi did not really hold and the TV signal was patchy but as we were only there for the night it was not an issue. The shower was great and the bedroom perfect for our needs. The floors could have done with a clean but otherwise it was more than adequate and very peaceful

The colour scheme is a bit of a shock at first but it does grow on you. The kitchen is well appointed but unfortunately no microwave. Because the kitchen/dining area/ lounge are all in one room it is not that easy to relax. The bedroom is up a steep set of stairs and my husband who is quite tall , did have to be extra vigilant getting out of bed to stop himself banging his head on the roof! The bed was very comfortable. A nice cottage .

We had a lovely time. And was so happy to be able to take a bath and relax. Our only issue was small biting gnats that were somehow in the house even though we kept doors and windows closed. But now we know to take spray as we had the same problem at the Dunvegan castle. Just wasn’t something we factored in. This was a nice and quiet space to rest in and we appreciate the hospitality of the host! We would recommend for sure.

It was a really quirky, fun and unique property, and communicating with the host was great. The bed was comfortable, but missing the top sheet. The electrical is weird; the clothes dryer kicked out frequently. Largest complaint with this rental was cleanliness, which was subpar.

The cottage is in a lovely, remote spot with beautiful scenery in the surrounding area. The cottage itself is small and basic, but we enjoyed its quirky character and bold colour scheme! It was fun to stay there with our seven year old for a couple of days.

This place is pretty quirky, with a kitchen plus 2 armchairs and a small table for dining, bathroom and bedroom upstairs with quite a low ceiling. Parking is good. Place warms up quickly, shower is electric and fine, warm water only from kitchen hot tap, so small and compact place with a price to match compared to other places in the immediate area.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage suited our needs, and we appreciated the amenities in the cottage, including the laundry, kitchen and shower facilities. The setting is lovely and quiet, and we enjoyed walking and exploring the village, the stunning views, and finding sea glass by the shore. It definitely suited our budget as we were able to drive into the Isle of Skye, spend the day, and drive back to the cottage for the night, The cottage is also close to Eilean Donan castle which we really enjoyed.

NC500 Overnight Stay

The property was suitable for an overnight stop. Not much in local area, so stock up with whatever you need at Spar in Lochcarron. Although the bedroom can accommodate a family of 3, it's more suited to a couple.
