Enjoyable place

Nice dock for our 25 ft boat with short trip to the ocean, plenty parking for boat trailer, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and pet friendly. During our stay Monica answered all questions very quickly.

The house was great, it had everything we needed. The carpet on the stairs should be replaced but it wasn't a big deal. The amenities are wonderful. The pool temperature was very warm, stayed above 95 the whole time we were there. I understand that it's August in the Keys and that was the reason. It certainly still felt good after being out all day. It was a wonderful experience!!!

Family vacation

Family fishing, diving and snorkeling vacation. Plenty of space for our 23 foot center console. Canal is 5 foot deep at low tide. Location is great for access to great sites.

Fishing extravaganza

The name of our vacation. Convenient and well stocked property. The eight of us fit perfectly. Pleasant views. Short walk to the beach. Could not ask for more.

Nice Villa - True to the listing

This Villa at 253 Sombrero Beach Rd had everything we needed. Balcony, backyard with pool, refrigerator and outdoor dining set, dock, large dining table, ample bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked which really came in handy because we preferred to cook and eat in since the restaurants in the area were all very busy. Property management was very responsive. Enjoyed our stay.

House was not equipped for 6 people to stay a week. Limited supplies, cheap toilet paper. ( Single ply), all the supplied spices are full of moisture and clumped together, pool was not clean upon arrival. For what this property rents for you can definitely find a better place it's too expensive especially to have single ply toilet paper.

PERFECT WEEK ON SOMBRERO BEACH

We loved our stay here! The backyard is so nice, highly recommend playing to have the pool heated during your stay since it was mostly in the shade during the daytime while we were there (week after christmas). Its about a 30 minute walk to the beach, so bring bicycles or rent them because parking is and limited there. The house had everything we needed and the extra touches like beach towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap etc were so helpful to cut down on added expenses! Monica communicated quickly to anything. if you need another home, this is actually a duplex and you can rent the other side as well!

Fun times

Great experience. Loved Sombrero beach and the surrounding area. Only downside to location was the 25 min boat ride to the Atlantic, but that was it. Everything else was positive. House was perfectly equipped for boating and fishing, including chest freezer and bait pen. Nice touches. Kids loved the pool and catching snappers from the dock.

Comfortable and well equipped

We were initially surprised when we arrived and the property was half of a duplex with a shared dock, not a “whole house” as advertised. The house itself was really well stocked with towels, linens, paper towels, detergent, TP, etc which we really appreciated. We were also disappointed it was not truly dog friendly once we saw the welcome packet on the day of checkin, which specified the dog was not allowed upstairs where the primary suite and 2 other bedrooms were located. Overall it was a very nice property. Just not well suited for our specific needs.

Great time in the Keys!

Had a great time! Close to beach and stores. Pool and yard was a great place to relax and play. Wind was blowing so only got out on boat twice. But over all had a great time, place was clean and was comfortable for us all!

Perfect stay

We booked this place as hub for our fishing vacation. We loved the house, the pool and the BBQ. The beds were incredible. Monica was very responsive and solved every single issue we had. Walking distance to Publix is a big plus. Only request is to add bikes to the property.

Perfect location for activities in Marathon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property the last two weeks of November, 2021. The rental property was clean, very well stocked with almost everything needed including lots to of supplies. Having a dock allowed us to rent and have a kayak available and gave the children opportunities to fish and see manatees for the first time. They also rented bikes and were able to bike to Sombrero Beach close by as well as the nature preserve on the other end of Sombrero Beach Road. Having a heated pool was a real plus for our nine year olds and four year olds. Our rental manager Monaca was very responsive to our questions before, during, and after our stay there. Everything that was advertised on the website accurately described the unit. We enjoyed it very much and should we return to Marathon we would seriously consider renting the property again.

Great Family getaway

Property accurately advertised. Very clean and well kept home. Long travel (about 30 mins) by boat to get out to open water but house is conveniently located in Marathon.

We had a great week in Marathon Key. The highlight was my three grandchildren lying on their stomachs on the dock to watch the Manatee’s swimming under it.

Nice Home Nice Location

Was our first stay at this property but we've stayed in a number of VRBO in Marathon over the years. Location is great in Sombrero area. House was clean and the listing was reflective of the space, which is always nice. Beds were comfortable. Easy to deal with the manager. Downstairs fridge/freezer and bait freezer were hugely convenient. If I had to nitpick at all, the small southern facing pool was crazy hot all the time. Nothing you can really do about that in the summer. And then there isn't really any cable TV. Again not a big deal. We would only watch at night before bed. With that said, property was a good value and 5 stars.

The house was clean and location fit our needs. We were a few minute boat ride to the open waters.

The online experience was easy and I was in communication with the owner throughout the reservation process. She was able to provide me boat ramp locations and answer any questions I had in a timely manner.
