Fantastic family set-up

Layout and location worked very well for our family. Communication with the property manager was great. The availability of a high-chair and play and pack eased our travels with a little one. We were also able to rent additional items from Babyquip just two miles away.

Fantastic Keys Vacation.

Extremely nice and well equipped home. It's very close to everything; including the beach, restaurants, fishing, snorkeling, and just about anything you would want to do in the Keys! Highly recommend this home.

3 generations of fun

Every summer we vacation with our kids and grand kids. Usually we go to a fresh water lake, but we really enjoyed our stay in Marathon. We fished, boated, played cards, when to the Lagoon, swam. The house had lots of everything! Thanks

Great location. Close to the grocery store, beaches, & local attractions.

The villa was nicely furnished & centrally located to Key West & Key Largo. There was plenty of room for our family of 8, & our grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. All in all, it was a great week spent making family memories!!

Excellent Stay in Marathon

The rental was as listed, plus lots of extras that make a vacation easy: stocked spice cabinet, beach chairs, floats, etc. The management company was easy and quick to communicate with. Excellent property central to everything in the Keys.

Good Vibes

This property was better than the pictures. Clean, comfortable, plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The best part was the nice cold, salt water pool. It was wonderful to come back from a hot day fishing and snorkeling on the boat and jump in the pool. Great location close to beach and groceries.

mini season

This house was GREAT! It had plenty of space for all of us and was very comfortable and clean! After a long day on the water it was great to cool off in the pool. Also, very conveniently located to publix, kmart, gas stations and the boat ramp. We couldn't have gotten a better location!

Beautiful Property

Everything was just as listed! We had an awesome time. Walked to Sombrero beach. Beautiful sunsets from the private pool and balcony. Rode bikes and close to grocery and all the great places to eat. Will be back next year

Great bachelor week with friends

Our group stayed here for a bachelor party in the keys. It was the perfect spot for home base in the middle keys, everything was super clean when we arrived, AC was cold, plenty of fridge and freezer space and nice comfortable beds. Jennifer was very responsive and easy to work with, she accommodated every request I had and got back to me within minutes if I had a question. I would highly recommend this property to any group interested in a stay in the keys.

Clean, gorgeous, and fully stocked with ocean access

Best rental our family has ever stayed in! Great location, clean, gorgeous, and fully stocked. Every vacation rental should be cared for like this one is. There is pride in ownership here and I really appreciate that. This vacation rental felt like home to us. From the high chair to the silverware, to the decor, beach towels, and bedding. It's super comfortable and high quality. We loved this house!

Wonderful house for family of 6!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sombrero Heaven! The house is so clean and has plenty of room for 6. We loved the private pool and downstairs outdoor area. The property manager responded to texts right away, but we only had to reach out once. They came midweek to clean the pool and check chemical levels. We have already discussed booking this place for future family vacations! Loved it so much. Note - We weren’t prepared for the summer bugs in FL! We got eaten up the first night. However, we bought some supplies and were ready by night 2 and had a great time. I highly recommend choosing this rental for your vacation!

All the comforts of home with a pool!

Great home for a family vacation. We had our 1 and 5 yr old grandchildren with us as well as our own kids! The keys have family things to do but also allows you to enjoy the home you rented with a private pool. Comfortable bedding - full kitchen, nice upstairs deck to overlook the canal and pool. Great selection water/sand toys provided the the kids. We enjoyed Pigeon Key, Robbies, theater of the Sea, Turtle hospital, a day trip to Key West and a day at sombrero beach right down the street. Meridith was wonderful to communicate with! This home was all we expected amd more.

Fabulous Marathon Vacation Spot

Fabulous! Our party of eight (4 couples) had an amazing week at Sombrero Heaven! The house is perfectly appointed with everything you need for a memorable week! We really enjoyed the brand new grill! Property Manager Meredith was so kind and accommodating and went over and above to make our visit perfect! Location couldn’t have been better....walking/ biking distance to gorgeous Sombrero Beach, Publix, San Pablo Catholic Church and restaurants.....short drive to Big Pine Key (visited relative’s home) and Key West to enjoy golf, food, drinks and the gorgeous Key West Pier sunset! We’ll definitely be back! Thank you for everything!

Lovely Getaway

My husband and I stayed here for a little over a week in early May 2025. The location is great - very close to Sombrero Beach and amenities (side note: I recommend Publix over Winn Dixie). We also liked being in Marathon; there are tons of restaurants to pick from and it is easy to visit other Keys as well. This property was cute, very clean, and well equipped. Only downsides: (1) the property manager convinced me to pay to heat the pool before we got there and there was no need. We asked to have it turned off a couple of days in and even then the pool was more like a hot tub. Maybe earlier in the year it would have made more sense. (2) I received so many separate emails about this booking that it wasn’t until we were driving in that I realized I hadn’t received the code to access the house. I requested and received the code promptly, but it seemed like the priority was on limiting the owner’s liability and expense (pool heating) rather than the experience of the guest. (3) My husband and I like to have the TV on for background noise, so we noticed right away that the cable packages aren’t uniform between TVs and some are very limited, so there were channels we could watch in the living room that we couldn’t watch in the bedroom. I also never figured out how to stream in the bedroom and the living room TV has a blue streak (the panel is going out). Not a big deal - who goes on vacation to watch TV? - but something to be aware of, especially if traveling with kids.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I definitely do not push pool heat. You can read in the nearly 800 5 star reviews that no one has ever mentioned any such thing. And when guests request pool heat, but don't need it, it is always refunded. I simply want our guests to be comfortable with the temperature when they arrive because it takes a while to warm it up. I personally heat my pool through May, but we did have an unexpected heat wave in May.

Born and raised in Canada, Marc and Nathalie moved to the USA with their two young children in 1996. After a quick stay in Seattle, the family moved to south Florida in 1998 for Marc’s work and this became their new home. The family fell in love with the Florida Keys while vacationing and had a dream to own a home in Marathon. Marc loves fishing and golfing while Nathalie enjoys spending time at the beach or by the pool.

Now that the kids are grown up, we have decided to share our home with others so you can enjoy all of what the Florida Keys have to offer. Perfect weather, beaches, great food, golf, water activities, and fishing make the Florida Keys the perfect spot for the whole family.

We hope you will enjoy our little piece of “heaven” as much as we do!

Meredith is a Property Manager and owns Pineapple Properties of the Florida Keys. She is thrilled to represent the owners. Meredith is a fifth-generation native Floridian, Meredith's first visit to the Florida Keys was 35 years ago when she was 18 years old. She went sport fishing with the legendary Captain Skip Bradeen in Islamorada, explored the islands from Key Largo to Key West, and was hooked! Meredith, her husband Barry, a realtor, and their children enjoyed vacationing in the keys for many years and after raising their family in Winter Park, Florida, Barry and Meredith moved here full time! She loves helping guests with personal recommendations of all her favorite spots to help make their vacation better than they ever imagined!

We loved the fact that this property is brand new with a great coastal design, four bedrooms, and all the updated features offered in a custom build! We think Marathon is a great location because we are not too far from the mainland, but also close enough to Key West for an easy day trip! The grocery store, great restaurants, and everything else we need is so convenient, too!
