Beautiful detached, light and airy coastal cottage in a quiet part of The Bay Holiday Village - ideal for family holidays with EV Charger and private driveway!

Gingerbread Cottage is located in a quiet area of The Bay, with off road parking for 2 vehicles. The property is within easy walking distance of the beach, swimming pool, gym and tennis courts. This is one of the largest 2 bedroom properties on The Bay and offers luxury spacious accommodation.

Enter through the step free doorway into a generously proportioned hallway with WC / cloakroom. Walk into the 'L' shaped open plan living, dining and kitchen area with wood-burner stove, sofas for 5 and SMART TV, dining table for 5 and modern fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, washer-dryer and microwave. Off the dining area French doors lead onto a private furnished patio, ideal for outside relaxing with seating for 4 with lawned area. relax whilst your furry pals use the dog tethers.

Upstairs the master bedroom includes a king-size bed, TV and luxury En-suite with rainfall shower, the second bedroom has full-size bunks and full size single bed. Family bathroom with bath and overhead rainfall shower.

The log burner makes Gingerbread Cottage warm and cosy for breaks all year round.

-EV charger outside - available for guests only to use (if you wish to use this, please add this to your booking as a booking extra / contact us after you have booked - otherwise it will be deactivated whilst you stay) (Please note the costs charged for the EV charger is payable depending on the length of your stay and is based on the costs of a variable tariff for 22/23)

This property is part of The Bay Holiday Village and all bookings gain direct beach access, unlimited use of The Bay Filey Indoor Pool, Baby Pool, Sauna, Steam Room and Gym. Some amenities are chargeable locally like food and drink, tennis and any activities operated by Away Resorts such as Archery and Crafts.

Gingerbread cottage

Lovely 4 night stay here, very clean and had everything we needed, Beds were very comfortable, parking on the front for two cars was very tight but we managed ii. The previous person had stayed signed into Netflix and locked the screen so unfortunately we weren’t able to use our account on there in the evening Overall a lovely stay and would return.

100% Would Recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Gingerbread Cottage & 100% would come back! The Bay in general is amazing with plenty to do, but if we came back we would pick Gingerbread Cottage again! The location within The Bay was amazing, super quiet & the back was pretty private just looking out onto trees. Incredibly clean, spacious and airy. Communication was great & very convenient having our own parking space. Thank you for a great stay!

Weekend getaway

When we arrived at Gingerbread Cottage we were blown away. It’s a stunning cottage in a perfect location for all amenities. It was very much home from home. We absolutely loved our stay here. I also can’t recommend Anchor bay enough. When we arrived home we realised that we had left something of ours. I contacted Anchor Bay who straight away responded & said they would kindly post it back to us. A great weekend break was had by all & we would definitely go back.

Lovely cottage

Just come back from a weekend at this cottage. Two adults, two children and a dog. Plenty of space and fairly private patio area. It's really lovely. A real home from home. Highly recommend it. The Bay is a quiet and well maintained holiday village, with the bonus of having a pool, sporting activities , a pub and shop on site. The beach is a fair walk away and fairly steep but it's clean and dog friendly.

A Magical Place

We stayed in Gingerbread cottage over the winter months during a transition of relocation and new job role. This was a cosy retreat with the beautiful setting a log burner fire and ambient lighting and luxury soft furnishings. This house has lots of space, light and airy and very practical, a short distance from all amenities and coastal walks. Lots of parking and our ford ranger fitted nicely on the drive. This is truly a treat of a holiday home but all the practicalities of home, would highly recommend.

Great property in a great location.

We went back to Gingerbread this year for some more lovely long beach walks with our 2 spaniels. The cottage never disappoints and is a real ‘home from home’. Great attention to detail. The whole place always looks brand new! The best value we have ever found!!

Excellent, clean stay

Excellent stay at Gingerbread Cottage, great facilities within the house including washing machine and hoover, ideal for cleaning up after trips to the beach. Gingerbread cottage is one of the furthest from the access point to the beach but a lovely walk if you aren't lumbered with kids and buckets and spades. Stayed in caravans and larger site cottages/ chalets and none have felt as clean and well kept as it did here. Really enjoyed the stay and would book again.

Short stay

Our first visit to the bay and we will definitely come back. Our cottage was lovely, spotlessly clean and excellent decor. Staff at the Restaurant on site were very obliging and helpful. One of our party has a food intolerance and they catered to their needs without any issues. Thank you all.

Gingerbread Cottage

Gingerbread Cottage exceeded our expectations! It was a really cosy cottage with lots of homely items. All the rooms were a great size and it was bright and airy. The bed was comfy and the ensuite was great too. We didn’t do much cooking but the kitchen had everything you would need and we even got a little welcome box with some nice biscuits and tea, coffee etc in. We will definitely be coming back

A really enjoyable short break

We stopped at Gingerbread Cottage for 4 nights, and were overall very happy with the accommodation and location. We've stopped at The Bay before so knew the place, but this was the first time in this cottage. All the rooms are light and airy, have a great holiday feel to them, and have everything you need for a comfortable stay - we'd happily stop longer in this place in the future. The owners manuals were very good, and they acted swiftly when we had a minor problem with the boiler, fixing it the same day when we went out. Great customer service.

First but not the last

Been to the bay numerous times but were unable to use our usual contact so went with these guys Excellent service from booking through to our return and would definitely book through this website again Price was very reasonable Chose this property as we knew exactly where it was and there’s less footfall past the property if you have a fur baby who likes to announce every passerby ! It is a little further from the beach path but not a huge distance Well maintained property and well furnished This is one of the few properties with an EV charger Not that this bothered us but there is no freezer just in case people were thinking of bringing frozen food Also had this in other properties where the tv in bedroom has really poor reception so most channels say no signal - will bother some but not others If you are a first timer to the bay and the area you get lots of helpful information from booking onwards Although it is made very clear that you can’t book in till 4:30 it is quite late as it is we appreciate for other properties on the bay but if there’s any chance of making it earlier that would be great Definitely returning again !

Great company to deal with. Accommodation first class

Lovely place to stay. Anchor Bay Holidays are a brilliant company to deal with. Highly recommended. Cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable to stay. Antony provided very clear instruction while staying at the property. Great location and a lovely walk down to a lovely beach and breathtaking coastline. Filey lovely area to visit. Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay gorgeous. Lovely to bring and spend time with my family. Even my teenage son asked if we could come back and stay. This is a first let me tell you!!. The only spoiler which wasn't nothing to do with my accommodation was the pub on site. London prices not Yorkshire. Food overpriced dry rubbish. The staff seemed to be running around with no clear direction. This is only my opinion. Shame as there looks like some great potential there! Needless to say didn't eat there again. Fantastic places in Filey to eat. Taxi good price and very easy to book. Just to sum up. Gingerbread Cottage was first class accommodation and I hope to return again soon. Anchor Bay Holidays are a very professional and great company to deal with. See you again soon!
