A traditional stone built and well equiped cottage offering comfortable and cosy accommodation.. 1 step to entrance.

Kitchen/dining room: Electric Oven, Induction Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Dishwasher, Washer Dryer

First Floor:

Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed, TV

Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot available.. Small patio garden. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car, 25 yards away. Visit England 3 Star. Please note: There are steep stairs at the property, with a multi-tiered landing.. Between Windermere and Ambleside, Troutbeck Bridge has a service station which stocks an excellent range of provisions. Howarth Cottage is nestling in a row of similar stone built and slated Lakeland cottages, tucked away in a quiet backwater with all the delights of a well equipped, comfortable and cosy holiday retreat. There is an entrance porch which is handy for walking gear, and the living room has a gas fire, three piece suite and a parquet floor. This traditional terraced cottage is a perfect base from which to explore the Lake District National Park. After a hard day on the fells you will long to return to the well maintained and cared for ’home from home’. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

My friend and myself had a lovely stay here.

My friend and myself had a lovely stay here. The cottage was lovely, situated in a very quiet area, and was the perfect spot for us to go and do everything we wanted to do - including walking a few minutes to get the open top bus to Ambleside! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.We did find the front door almost impossible to lock/unlock, a better tin opener is certainly needed in the kitchen, and the bathroom fan made an almighty noise like you were on a flight path. However none of these points affected our stay, and we definitely recommend it!
