Firstly, I want to make it clear that we were staying in the Green Loft apartment. I think the owner has another apartment. The site reviews definitely felt misleading. It may be that these were for the other rental property. The picture on the VRBO site is very flattering to the reality. My wife and I were planning to work a little on one of the days we were there, so having usable wifi was an essential. When we arrived, the host informed us that the wifi could be temperamental in the rain, which it was when we arrived. She gave us a hand held portable wifi unit, but unfortunately not with a correct cable. When this was pointed out, she gave us another hand held unit, that we could connect to, but unfortunately had an error message for the network. Sylvia disappeared off, I presumed to resolve it, but that was the last we saw of her. She kept telling me that the router was working fine in her office - which it was. If I took my laptop round the corner to her office it connected fine, but as soon as I set foot in the apartment the connection dropped. It didn't help we couldn't hotspot from our phones, as there was an extremely weak signal inside the apartment.If you don't need wifi, you might think I'm moaning a bit, but there were other issues - bin not emptied from previous guests, torn bedsheet, bleach marks on the curtains, general dustiness and lack of cleaning, wiring that wouldn't meet UK standards and completely inadequate heating. We moved out after 2 nights.
Only heater for the entire apartment and it wasn't very good.
Repairs ongoing.

The positives:Close to important historic sites and great restaurants. We were out of the unit for most of the daytime and had a great time exploring Rome. Phenomenal corner of the world with friendly people. The negatives:We arrived at the correct time for check-in. Had to ring a bunch of times, texted the host, called, heard nothing back. Eventually someone else greeted us and checked us in.The unit was freezing with no way to heat the apartment. There was a radiant heater for us in a corner that had poor output even on the highest setting. The air con unit appeared to have a heat setting but this also did not work. Lots of items in the kitchen were broken, filthy or worn out. We asked the host if there were any more mugs as one was pretty much cracked in half. After being unsure what we were talking about initially she mentioned there were more in a cupboard, which we found… but the handles were severely cracked/ chipped on those too. The unit, while the same one, did not have the same furniture as the photos displayed. The photos make it look new and tidy, bright and warm with plants and trendy decor… and 10 years ago, it probably did look like that. Currently it looks unkept and forgotten and much of the furniture has been changed out.Upon checkout we tried to get in touch with the host for instructions, and heard nothing back. This was frustrating because it contradicted the listing promise of strong communication.

The property could have been alot better. Pro: Walkable distance to major attractions and restaurants. 18 minutes walk to train station. 11 minutes walk to the Colosseum. The host was nice. Con: Bathroom needed deep clean and touch up. Visible mold in the bathroom. Wifi was terrible. Washing machine/dryer located in the office not in the room. The host will wash it for free with limited amount.

The apt is in a great location; super close to great restaurants and cafes, and check in was really great and easy. The bathroom was good for us but perhaps there should be a note in the listing that it's not great for anyone with balance or motility issues. We would recommend the host checks the kitchen items as many are broken and maybe change the bedding to suit winter temperatures so guests don't need to look for much needed blankets. We would definitely rent in the same area again.

Silvia was a wonderful hostess. Great with communication and very helpful with accessing home. The location is fantastic with easy walking access to the Colleseum, Trevi Fountain and train access to anywhere else. Residence was clean and accommodating. We would definitely stay again.

Silvia was amazing! She was so friendly and hospitable! She gave us an amazing recommendation for dinner, was literally a dream. The apartment was perfectly located from the termini and from all the major attractions. Could not have picked a more perfect place!

It was excellent!!! The location was FANTASTIC. The property owner was incredibly accommodating. She had her daughter meet us and let us in five hours earlier than planned on checkin.

This property was awesome! It was very clean, in a quiet area, and great for a 4 person family. It was also only a 7 minute walk from the colosseum. Sylvia was a great host as well and always replied quick!

Great location, with some beautiful streets very close by. Apartment has everything we needed and even a small outdoor seating area which was lovely at night time.
