Fantastic Stay!

Great location and neighborhood with everything you need nearby. Plenty of space and bathrooms for everyone. Secure building with friendly doormen. We had the best stay!

Family vacation

The location of this property can’t be beat. And having five bathrooms was so nice.

Fun Christmas trip

Everything was as represented on the listing. Security doorman were exceptionally friendly. Very safe convenient location. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Family trip to London!

Wonderful location across the street from Hyde Park. is great launch point for beautiful walks or easy access to the tube. Concierge and booking agent (Veeve) were super friendly and helpful. We brought my 86 yo mother and the lift, access, and amenities of the apartment were adequate. Would certainly stay again at Porchester Gate!

Excellent

Great place, perhaps a triumph of design over functionality, but well worth it. Only problem was a smell in the place. We had to keep a bathroom window open in winter.

Family visit to London London

Close to Hyde Park and 2 tube stations. Safe neighborhood and building. Had with the tub only putting out scalding hot water, didn’t work to give children a bath. that wasn’t able to be resolved during our stay. Couldn’t get figured out through emails-ask if this has been fixed. Some features dated but overall good stay.

Avoid at all costs! Please learn from our experience so you don’t have to go through the same ordeal. I’ll give the abbreviated version. The lady that checked us in did not show us the apartment. She spent the entire time taking pictures and talking to us in an accusatory fashion as if she just knew we were going to break something. First day of our four night stay we found three issues. One shower wouldn’t drain properly making it unusable. Shower two had a malfunctioning shower head that caused water to shoot over the shower wall into the bedroom. Lastly, the kitchen sink didn’t drain properly. They required photos and videos before they would send a plumber. We sent them. Then they wanted more photos. We sent those also. In the end the plumber NEVER CAME. Four nights mind you and the plumber never came. When we asked for compensation for having only two of four working showers they accused us of making a hole in the kitchen drain plug! The 1 item that is a removable mesh screen to keep large items from going down the drain. They even said we did it so that the water would flow faster in the backed up sink, thereby admitting the sink was backed up. Why would anyone make a hole in such item when you could simply remove it?I still haven’t received my deposit back and it’s been six days.

Wonderful Apartment in a Terrific London Location...

We were looking for a 4 bedroom apartment in a convenient location in London with easy access to the Tube, and this is the perfect place satisfying all our criteria. It was great that each bedroom had its own full bath, and there was a 1/2 bath in the hallway. This made for a very comfortable stay. From the time of booking, communications with staff at Veeve was very timely and very easy. They did a very nice job arranging our early check in. Meeting Elizabeth and Elise (?) upon our arrival worked out very well. They gave us a thorough tour and explanation of the apartment, and the printed information provided was very helpful. The apartment was very clean and furnished and equipped very well. The AC is the main living area was wonderful. There was 1 ceiling fan in a bedroom that did not work, but they had provided a floor fan that circulated the air very well. There was a TV in another bedroom that did not work, but we were not here to watch TV all day. We were informed of both items when we arrived. The AC in the master bedroom was a bit weak, but opening the windows ensured the temperature was very comfortable in the June evenings. We only ate breakfast in the apartment, but enjoyed snacks and wine in the late evenings. It was great to have a very nice wine refrigerator. Check out instructions were very easy and efficient. I would definitely return to this apartment if I needed 4 bedrooms, and I highly recommend it to larger groups.
