Volda floating home gives you a rare opportunity of living not near, but ON a Norwegian fjord!

Volda is a rebuilt car ferry made into an architectural home.
It has 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 tv rooms and big open spaces for you and your family to relax on.

Volda is anchored on a private property away from all the lights and noises from the city.
This makes it ideal to see both wildlife and the northern lights (aurora borealis).
Volda is perfect for a large group of friends or families.

This is an amazing house. Awesome view, clean, and spacious. The host comes at check in to go over everything. We had a nice relaxing time at this house. The cherry on top was viewing the northern lights last night.

Dieses Hausboot ist einfach top. Ausstattung modern, hochwertig und super sauber. Es ist alles vorhanden an Kochutensilien , Geschirr, Töpfe, Handtücher usw und sogar ein Kaffeevollautomat. Die Betten sind super bequem. Vor der " Haustür" hat man ein Live Aquarium und Fischotter sieht man auch flitzen. Gastgeber Espen war super hilfsbereit, freundlich und gab uns Tipps u.a.zum Wandern.Wir können dieses Hausboot absolut empfehlen.

Best ever… we loved it

There is nothing negative we have to say about Espen’s rental. The location was stunningly beautiful, the houseboat was clean, spacious, and well-stocked. We wanted for nothing. The beds we comfortable and plentiful!! We cooked well and ate comfortably with a big group! Everything in the listing is accurate And as described. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Lovely and awesome place

We trvaveled with our hole family of 12 and had a wonderfull week at Volda. The 4 main sleeping have an amazing view to the fjord. The other three small bedrooms where „under water“ without windows, so better to use for kids, because of the double bunk beds. The rest of the accomodation is generous. You find everything you need for a percect stay. Because it’s located away from the city, you have no smog of lights, so you can see the polar lights without leaving.

Stunning Views

Our group of 11 had a wonderful stay here. We came to see the northern lights and we didn’t even have to leave the boat to see them! The location gets you away from the city light pollution but close enough that trips into town aren’t a hassle. The interior is beautifully crafted with plenty of space for our whole group. The owner was so attentive and easy to reach for questions. I would recommend and stay again.

Couldn’t Ask For More

Since graduating college, my friends and I meet up in a new location every year since we live in different areas. This year we chose Norway and found this Floating Home. Typically, we take the pictures of these vacation rental homes with a grain of salt considering the wear and tear. To our surprise the pictures listed were spot on! The location was beautiful, we were able to see the Northern Lights and wildlife like otters and reindeer. Between exploring the hiking trails in the area to visiting Tromsø, the floating home was situated perfectly between the urban and outdoor settings. We truly loved this home and not to mention our host. The host did everything to make us feel welcome. He even added a ladder to his dock when we mentioned that we wanted to jump in the water. Overall, we had a great experience and have all agreed that if we make it back to Norway, we will all be staying at this house.

Family holiday

Absolutely beautiful boat with stunning scenery. It was warm and cosy and very welcoming. The only thing was we thought there would be somewhere to charge a car but it wasn't available. Plenty of places to park and charge in the town though. Perfect place to relax and unwind.

Amazing experience!!

We had a group of 12 friends staying at the VRBO, and it was amazing. The host was easy to reach and helpful, the home is beautiful, and the location is pretty convenient to hiking/exploring (+30 min to Tromso). The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook delicious meals at home. We all hope to come back again in the summer!!!

Amazing and unique home

This was the perfect place for a group of friends to hang out and relax during the days, and look for Northern Lights at night. Espen was very responsive and helpful. We had the most wonderful time!

The Volda Floating Home is Magical

This property transports you to a different world. The peace and quiet is unlike anything any of us had experienced. The amenities in the home were fantastic but do not compare to the incredible location in which it all resides. It even allowed us to experience the Northern Light's from the property. It was truly a relaxing and magical time. The host Espen was super friendly, kind and responsive. He tried to offer us anything we wanted while we stayed there. He offered us some of the best whiskey I have had in a long time. Would love to stay again.

Bei dem Boot handelt es sich um eine umgebaut Fähre.

Das Schiff ist ein Traum und lässt keine Träume offen. Große Glasflächen, Fußbodenheizung und Esels Design. Ermordet viel Platz und top Zustand. Wir kochen gerne und die Küche lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Alles neu, keine schlechten Düfte und keine schimmelecken. Du machst die Türe auf, kommst heim und fühlst dich wohl. Selbst beim Sturm konnten alle selig schlafen. Keiner hat gelitten. Man ist in einer ruhigen Ecke im Fjord und allein. Nur Otter und Robbe sagen guten Tag und unsäglich viele kleine Fische im kristallklaren Wasser. Beste Entscheidung und immer wieder gerne.

Hier stimmt einfach alles! Fotos und Beschreibung sind authentisch, eigentlich ist die Realität noch besser. Es fehlt an nichts. Die Unterkunft ist luxuriös, Die Einrichtungs- und Benutzungsgegenstände bis ins kleinste Detail vorhanden. Die Küche ein Segen. Das WLAN obwohl der Ort sehr entlegen unglaublich schnell(5G!!) Trotz des Luxus und der Grösse unglaublich preiswert. 374 / 5.000 Übersetzungsergebnisse Everything is just right here! Photos and description are authentic, actually the reality is even better. Nothing is missing. The accommodation is luxurious, the furnishings and amenities are present down to the smallest detail. The kitchen a blessing. The WLAN, although the place is very remote, incredibly fast (5G!!) Despite the luxury and size, incredibly cheap
