Casa Tranquillo 1876 by Wonderful Italy

Villa in the countryside on two levels with outdoor spaces and a furnished patio, a few kilometers from the town of Ostuni.



Through a private path guests will reach the villa, accessible through the front porch, furnished with tables and chairs where to eat tasty dishes or have an aperitif in the open air.

The lower floor houses a very spacious living room, with high vaulted ceilings in exposed light stone, furnished with a comfortable double sofa bed and a TV. The independent kitchen is well equipped, with a dining area, and also fitted with an oven and a coffee machine. On the same floor there are two bedrooms (one coming with a queen size bed and one with twin beds) and a full bathroom with shower.

From the kitchen, a spiral staircase leads to the upper floor, where the villa continues with two more bedrooms (one coming with twin beds and the other with a single bed) and a second bathroom with shower. Outside, guests will enjoy a large forecourt that can be used both as a parking area and as a relaxation area. Moreover, they will have access to an outdoor bathroom with shower.



There is an orchard in the garden that guests can use for fruit picking.

Ostuni, known to the world as the White City, is the pearl of the Itria Valley. Its blindingly white, immense historic center culminates in the Cathedral (600 meters from the apartment) that soars over the plain of olive trees, the coastal dune park and a crystal-clear sea. Characteristic are its narrow streets, the Piazza della Libertà (5 minutes away) and the column of St. Oronzo that majestically protects the town.

Its countryside stretches into the heart of the Itria Valley. A few kilometers away is Ceglie Messapica, a center of tradition and enogastronomy; Cisternino, a village recognized as one of the most beautiful in Italy; and Alberobello, whose famous trulli have been a world heritage site since 1996. About 30 km to the north we find the Archaeological Park of Egnatia, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with a charming historic center and beautiful beaches. To the north (80 km) we find Bari, the gateway to the East, while proceeding south we first encounter the Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi to reach Lecce, the capital of Baroque. Moving westward there is Taranto, heart of Magna Graecia, and finally to Matera, characteristic for its sassi and European Capital of Culture 2019.



The closest airports are Brindisi (30-minute drive) and Bari (80-minute drive).
