A delightful newly refurbished detached cottage with beautiful private, solar heated infinity style pool with relaxing platform, set high in the Garfagnana, a short walk from the mountain top village of Corfino. This is a wonderful mountain retreat with the benefit of being able to walk to some restaurants.WIFI

Situated in a mountainous and rural position with wonderful views of the Appennines, this spacious and private 2 bedroom cottage with private solar heated infinity style pool has been sympathetically refurbished, all brand new and modern, but with beamed ceilings and solid wood windows. The house is spacious, light and airy and perfect for a mountain retreat.


There is an open plan living/kitchen/diner with oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and fridge freezer. Also here you will find a breakfast bar style dining table for indoor dining, comfy seating and 55" Smart TV, Fibre optic 50mbs WIFI.

On the ground floor there is a spacious double bedroom with plenty of storage, and a pristine shower room .

On the first floor is a twin bedroom, loft style with arch beamed ceilings and also with a double sofabed and plenty of clothes storage.

NB - car necessary. Access road is narrow and a little bumpy and unmade for 200M but passable in ordinary car . Owner will take you down to the house the first time.

A little about the area:
Situated high in the mountains 400M from a restaurant and the outskirts of the village of Corfino, this is a really peaceful retreat in the depths of the countryside, affording privacy for a relaxing holiday. The village of Corfino itself has a basic shop, a couple of hotels with restaurants and a further two restaurants, so the house does not feel too remote!

The National Park of Orecchiella is only a 10 minute drive, perfect for walking and Eagle spotting!

There are supermarkets in the local village of Pieve Fosciana, a 15 minute drive and the market town of Castelnuovo is 20 minutes away.

If you can tear yourselves away from the garden and pool for days out, the medieaval town of Barga is 35 mins; Lucca 1 hr 15 mins, Pisa, 1 hr 35 mins.

This property is a perfect mix of mountain retreat and convenience, and a great base for enjoying the unique landscape of mountainous Northern Tuscany

Das Haus ist perfekt, sehr modern und sauber, das Bad ist toĺl, die Küche super ausgestattet. Leider war der Bachofen defekt, was für Leute wie mich, die gerne kochen ein großer Nachteil ist. Das Grundstück ist riesig, perfekt mit Hunden, da man vom Haus aus direkt in den Wald gehen kann. Die Zufahrt ist wirklich sehr eng, aber auch mit einer V- Klasse machbar, wer Angst um den Lack oder die Felgen hat, ist sicherlich nicht begeistert davon. Der Pool ist wunderschön, aber eiskalt, beheizt war er offenbar nicht. Gastgeber sind super freundlich, der Vater brachte sogar Gemüse und Eier vorbei. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert, Danke!

Very nice house. Excellent swimming pool. Both is very clean and well established. The street to the house is very narrow. But with carefull driving it wolks well.

Wunderschönes Haus mit allem was es braucht in einer atemberaubenden Natur

Wir sind hellauf begeistert von unserem Urlaub in diesen wunderschönen Haus umringt von einer herrlichen Landschaft. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und es fehlt an nichts. Geschirrtuch, Gewürze, Öle, Spiele, viel Geschirr hier wurde an alles gedacht. Der Pool lädt zum täglichen verweilen ein und Abends haben wir gegrillt und Ruhe genossen. Sogar der Schäfer kam an zwei Tagen direkt auf die Weide neben dem Pool. Das war Mega aufregend für die Kinder. Die erwähnten Hunde sind da, jedoch sind sie nachts nicht zu hören. Tagsüber hört man sie mal mehr und mal weniger. Uns haben sie nicht gestört. Die Straße ist sehr schmal und uneben. Wir waren mit einem Hyundai Santa Fe dort und es hat alles geklappt. Jedoch ist mein Mann auch sehr Fahrerprobt. Wir haben tolle Ausflüge zum Strand, nach Lucca und nach Pisa unternommen. Die Kommunikation mit den Besitzern war hervorragend (Anfragen zu Tipps wurden schnell beantwortet) und der Kuchen war eine super Freude zur Ankunft. Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen.

Nice location but with serious disadvantages

The reception of the owners was very friendly and we were very happy about the cake gift. The house and the pool are in very good condition. All equipment that is needed is also available. I will now list the negative points, but I would like to point out that the owners cannot help it (no reproach!) In the neighborhood is an area where many dogs are kept. I looked at the matter on the spot and it was bad how the 10-15 poodles are kept. Some of the poor animals howled all night long. It wasn't barking, it was more of a whining. The dogs also whined during the day. This neighboring property is in sight. Animal welfare in Italy is probably not up to the same standard as in Germany? 2nd point the 250m driveway: the path is 2m wide and you need an all-terrain car. We have permanent contact with the floor and the big stones on this road and had contact with the flora on both sides of the car. Not really good for the vehicle! Very nice owners and a nice house but unfortunately not recommended - sorry!

Ein tolles, wo es wirklich ab NICHTS fehlte. Wir haben noch nie eine Ferienwohnung gehabt, die bis ins Detail so gut ausgestattet war. Wenn Mann dann noch so freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter hat: was will man mehr?!?😀

Wir verbrachten 1 Woche dort. Eine Wunderschöne Villa mit einem Pool. Es hat auch noch ein Ping Pong Tisch mit Schläger. Die Vermieter haben an fast alles gedacht. Mir hat der Haartrockner gefehlt aber das ist auch schon alles. Das Anwesen ist riesig. Unser kleiner Hund hatte genug Platz sich auszutoben. Hier kann man sich erholen, Natur pur. Die Villa ist modern eingerichtet. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich. Wir haben sogar ein Gemüsekorb und Eier bekommen, danke.

Ultimativ schönes Ferienerlebnis auf hohem Niveau

Die Lage und das Haus sind perfekt für Menschen, die etwas Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe von allem wünschen. Zum Haus: Topp Lage mit direkter wunderbarer Aussicht auf die Berge und dem 1 km nahe gelegenen Dörfchen Corfino. 1a und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das moderne Haus war sehr sauber, mit modernem Lüftungssystem und Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Von Bettwäsche und Tücher bis komplette Küchenausstattung war alles vorhanden. Super Betten und Nackenkissen. Sogar ein schnelles WiFi im Haus und beim Pool vorhanden! Der Pool wurde täglich gereinigt und mit seiner rund 10 m Länge auch gut zum Schwimmen geeignet. Alles mit viel Liebe gemacht. Grosszügiger Umschwung, wo sich auch unser Hund sehr wohl gefühlt hat. Die Gastgeber und Eltern waren einfach spitze und extrem freundlich und aufmerksam. Ihre Grosszügigkeit werden wir nie vergessen!! Umgebung: Im nahen gelegenen hübschen Dörfchen gibt es Restaurants und ein kleiner Laden, bei dem man alles notwendige bekommt - grosse Auswahl mit vielen lokalen Spezialitäten zu günstigen Preisen. Auch kann man hier wunderbar Wandern und Biken. Wir wären sehr gerne länger geblieben und werden vermutlich auch wieder kommen. Alles in Allem - jeden Euro wert!!! Nochmals herzlichen Dank für alles!

Fantastic Tuscan retreat

We stayed here for half term week and it was perfect, 2 adults & 2 x 5 yr olds there was plenty of space, we were in the pool everyday and the hosts were lovely, attending to things in a discreet way. We loved the personal touches of homegrown salad & fruit brought to us as well as eggs from the chickens. Great facilities & everything provided including laundry detergent & dishwasher tablets, only thing lacking was a hairdryer. 5* service in a beautiful location - we would 100% return!!
