Villa Oliva is a spacious 4-bedroom villa with private fenced pool in Garfagnana, set in a peaceful olive grove just below the village of Campo near Gallicano. With lovely open views towards Barga and generous outdoor space, it is ideal for families seeking comfort, privacy and authentic Tuscan countryside living.

The villa offers space to relax both inside and out, while remaining within easy reach of restaurants, market towns and Tuscany’s most beautiful hilltop villages.

Villa Oliva is just below the small village of Campo and a few minutes’ drive from Gallicano. A restaurant is approximately a 20-minute walk from the house, and many more are within a short drive.

The beautiful festival town of Barga can be seen from the garden and is only a few kilometres away. The market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana offers supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and a lively weekly market.

The villa is well positioned for exploring Tuscany:

When I dreamt of visiting Tuscany, Villa Olivi was what I dreamt of. It was perfect for our friends and us. The views are incredible, and the house was very comfortable and accommodating. As withers have expressed, there is one tight squeeze going up the hill in a car, but otherwise the whole experience was magical.

Lovely Villa with stunning views of the area and wildlife. Easy drives to Pisa and Lucca with also closer medieval villages to explore. We loved Barga and its restaurants and Castelnuovo Di Garfagnana . Villa is a lovely traditional villa that is well equipped and spacious. Has everything you need. True that the Road to the villa is windy and narrow but managed to drive our SUV hire car up to the villa without difficulty as there are plenty of passing places. Pool and surrounding clean and pleasant with plenty of shade if needed. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

Great place

We stayed in the house for a few weeks with friends and children and our dog. The property is well maintained, kitchen has everything you need, rooms are clean. There is enough space for two families. The view is beautiful and the pool area is proper. The owners communicate promptly and are responsive to requests. We loved our stay, it was really great experience! Thank you!

Perfect

No chance with the road under construction during our stay. Excess at home was difficult with store bought food. We wished we had known when booking that the house was so remote and secluded. It is located in the hills 40 km from Lucca.

The house has everything You need to have pleasant and relaxing vacation, and the owners was very helpfull in all matters. There is a BIG supermarket close by, so our advice would be, to fill the refrigerator and and enjoy evening meals on the terrace with a stunning view over the valley, after a day by the pool. And a little warning, after the last turn on the road towards the house, the road gets VERY steep and VERY narrow between two houses..... This was the 2nd time we rented the house, and we would certainly rent again, if we were to spend our vacation in these parts of Italy again.

Wonderfull place

wonderful stay. more extensive and more beautiful than on the pictures. very nice owner who likes to think along and also provides interim cleaning. They also take care of the mid-weekly removal of the garbage. Very hospitable. Beautiful surroundings. Only thing that is good to know: there were a lot of mosquitoes in our time. The road to Campo is also very tight at certain points for a large car. We had to fold the mirrors. But we get us .to get through, but we got used to it.

Wonderful house with outstanding view

We stayed one week in Villa Oliva and experience was fantastic. House is located in the middle of olive trees with oustandibg view over valley. Kitchen was well equipped and it had enough berooms for our needs (four). Pool was great to have because ”coldest” day during our stay was 32. You can easily do a day trip to Lucca, Pisa and Florance from here so location is quite central in case you want to see some great cities of Tuscany. Extra credit for good restaurant recommendations, easy check-in/-out process and great hosts. I would recommend reading guidance how to drive to the house carefully. I trusted navigator and Google obviously does not take into account that road has to be wider than 130 cm to be drivable with car . So read the information you’ll receive before coming to the house to avoid unpleasent surprises.

Family friendly Tuscany oasis

This is a beautiful property. It is located in a very quiet area, but plenty close by to see - a car is a must. The roads are very narrow but you get used to them. Pool is not heated, but refreshing on hot days. Landscaping is thoughtful and creates a private oasis in the middle of an olive grove. House is cozy with a well appointed kitchen. WiFi is pay as you go (save for a 10 € credit) which would have been nice to know in advance. Great outdoor living space and the views cannot be beat. We stayed with our 2.5 year old and had a very relaxing stay. Day trips to Barga, Vagli de Sotto, and the coast were highlights of the area. Hosts were wonderful.

A Perfect Tuscan EscapeWe had a truly memorable stay at this beautiful villa in Tuscany. It was perfectly suited to our family, with spacious and well-appointed bedrooms and bathrooms that made for a very comfortable base. The outdoor spaces were particularly impressive—plenty of room to relax, read, or simply enjoy the peace, with several little sun traps, offering a new favorite spot every few hours.The pool was clean, well-maintained, and ideal for cooling off after the various activities we discovered through Friends of Tuscany including mountain biking, wine tasting, trips to various towns and villages and a wonderful lady who came to the villa to teach us to make ravioli and cook for us. A major positive is the view. Looking out across the valley was like watching a living painting. As the sun moved through the sky, shadows flowed across the tree-covered hills and revealed different details of the villages and buildings tucked into the mountainsides. It was endlessly beautiful, and we often found ourselves just sitting and watching it change.A truly special place to unwind and enjoy the magic of Tuscany.

Beautiful place.

We feel in love with this area several years ago and has been going back a couple of times since. We always choose a house away from the big cities because we seek the total peace and quiet that it provides and we where not disappointed. The view is simply breathtaking and the surroundings authentic. The house is big and there are plenty of space for all eight without we felt we where walking on top of each other.. The pool, which is saltwater that was better for the skin and hair, was lovely and we spent many hours swimming and playing. Nice sun area that provides both sun and shadow. Christina and her husband was very patient with us, when we were many hours delayed due to the traffic. They meet us with smiles when we finally arrived. We got help immediately when we had questions and got some great tips about local attractions and markets. We had the best week with relaxation, laughter and joy and we will certainly consider coming back to this fantastic place.

Fantastic villa in beautiful rural location

We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Oliva, is located in the beautiful and peaceful town of Campo in the Garfagnana region. The house is spacious and so well equipped although there is no Aircon. The fans provided helped on the hot nights. Cristina left us a welcome basket with lots of local produce which was delightful. The pool was loved by the kids and the villa was surrounded by lots of local produce which we were allowed to eat such as grapes, olives, herbs and fruit. The view from the villa across the hills was breath taking and enjoyed at every opportunity. We visited lots of fabulous towns such as Lucca, Gallicano, Pisa, Castelnuovo & even went to the beach for the day at Livorno. The only downside was the number of midgie bites we got which isn't the fault of the villa or owners. it was just an inconvenience and irritation. We would highly recommend this property to others and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Der Pool war sauber, die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Anlage liegt ruhig, die Auffahrt zur Ferienanlage war auch sehr herausfordernd. Hat aber Spaß gemacht. Nur mit Fahrzeugen zu empfehlen die einen hohen Radstand haben. Ein Jeep bzw. ein Geländewagen ist für diese Gegend optimal

Traumhaftes Anwesen in den intalienischen Bergen

Die gesamte Anlage und das Anwesen sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail gepflegt. Im Haus selbst hat uns als kleine Reisegruppe an nichts gefehlt. Begrüßt wurden wir sogar mit einem kleinen italienischen Speisekorb und selbstgemachten Olivenöl. So kommt man doch gerne in Italien an. ;) Die Anreise über z.T. Kleine und sehr enge Straßen bzw. Wege ist etwas anspruchsvoll, aber man gewöhnt sich auch hier schnell daran. Das Haus ist für entspannte Pooltage bestens geeignet, der Pool bietet viel Schattenplätze drum herum und beim Tischtennis kann man sich ausreichend auspowern und im Pool danach direkt abkühlen. Abends ein absolutes Muss!….auf der Terrasse den einmaligen Ausblick genießen. Die Eigentümer kümmern sich schnell um alle Anliegen und berücksichtigen voll und ganz die Privatsphäre. Hier als Beispiel die Poolreinigung oder Müllentsorgung, welche vor 8 Uhr morgens bereits erledigt wurde. Ein kleiner Vebesserungspunkt wäre der Insektenschutz im Obergeschoss, hier sollte eine ähnliche Lösung wie im Erdgeschoss angebracht werden. Aber das ist auch mit Insektensteckern zu kompensieren (welche übrigens auch gestellt wurden). Alles in allem würden wir jederzeit wieder in dieser Unterkunft buchen. Vielen Dank für die tollen Tage!

Heerlijk vakantiehuis met een adembenemend uitzicht!

Heerlijke tijd gehad in het zeer compleet uitgeruste vakantiehuis. De toegangsweg is smal en steil, maar eenmaal bij het huis is het uitzicht echt schitterend.
