Can't beat the location. Modestly equipped. No kitchen dish towels. bath towels are scratchy'. But it was fine. Good AC and hot water. Overall, excelleny choice close to Ponte vecchio.

Very easy to get in to the place. Sent a text to our host and we arrived at the same time. She walked us through the place and showed us all the amenities. Very friendly.

Florence Honeymoon

This was a great find only a few minutes walk away from the Ponte Vecchio. Very clean and much more spacious than expected! Angela and her assistant were amazing and easy to get in touch with for any questions or local travel advice. We enjoyed our stay at the property as our last stop in Europe before heading home.

A Mini Palace!

When you think of an amazing trip to Florence, there's at least some part of you that imagines that you'll stay in some historical building, with beautiful furniture and painted walls. Check in process was flawless. This building does not have a lift pack light. The apartment was just lovely. The view out the windows superb. Please be advised if you are traveling from the US. It is not standard in Italy to be provided with wash cloths for bathing. Please bring your own. This apartment was absolutely fantastic. If I am ever in the city again I will definitely seek this apartment out.

Che Bella! This property was the highlight of our recent trip to Italy. We stayed here in late April for four nights. It is beautifully restored with Florentine-styled paintings on the ceiling, a beautiful bedroom with tall ceilings, and two newly refinished bathrooms. After visiting the Uffizzi, we realized how authentic the restoration is. Furniture is lovely and the bed was incredibly comfortable to sleep in. It is spacious, clean, and perfectly located across from the Pitti Palace. We were able to walk everywhere and finding our way back home was easy. Angela was a great host, easy to communicate with, and left us some great suggestions for meals and coffee. We would return here in a heartbeat. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.

Pitti Palace Romance

Angela was so kind and answered all my questions and she even made some dinner reservations for us. The Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We’ve been to Florence many times, so this trip was for more local adventures, and to look outside tge city center for a possible place to move from the US. My only suggestion ,for this apartment, is to get better linens, pilllows, blankets for the bed and better towels. All of the above were scratchy and cheap feeling the pillows were completely flat and mushy. Both shower handles kept coming off, even after several guests prior to us had already mentioned this problem. Even with those few problem items, we enjoyed our stay.

Very disappointed to arrive and find scaffolding outside the apartment and all the external shutters closed, so a week with no daylight and no "Pitti Palace view". The host tried to say that there was information in the property details about work to the building, but there wasn't. Having refused to make any sort of partial refund, the host then just stopped communicating with us. The host also failed to respond to Vrbo when we complained to Vrbo after we returned home.The apartment was ok, but for the price needed some attention - the bathroom next to the bedroom had a door handle on the inside that came off in your hand, a loose toilet seat and beware the shower - the heavy control handle falls off and could break your foot, and has clearly been falling off for a long time given that it has been pieced together with glue and there are over 10 dents in the floor from it falling.The kitchen crockery only had 3 large plates, 3 large bowls, no tea towel or kitchen towel. The apartment was also sometimes noisy from other people in the stairwell, particularly late evening. The details said there was outdoor space/furniture, but there wasn't - the "balcony" area was at the back behind the bedroom and more a utility area with a window that we were told couldn't be opened as it was too fragile.At the last minute we were also told we had to pay a late check in fee of 50-60 euro as arriving at 8pm, though there was nothing in the original information about this.

I'm replying to your beautiful message, saying that the only thing you could have been right about, even if only partially, was the scaffolding on the facade, which clearly didn't allow you to fully open the windows. I had warned you of this in the ad and was ready to refund you if you had wanted to leave. But you didn't go and stayed in the house, only asking for the famous refund upon departure. I'm sorry about the work, but it was urgent maintenance work. Regarding your other comments, I'll tell you that you stayed in a completely renovated 150m2 apartment with two bathrooms, a huge living room, and a huge bedroom with a ballroom. I'm sorry that you're taking all your frustration out on the house, which is otherwise very beautiful and has every comfort. I'm replying to your review by saying that not even Vrbo took you into consideration, nor did they bother me about this issue. Florence at that time was half empty, you could have found another apartment instead, we remained for the whole period in the dilapidated Renaissance apartment with oak floors, decorated bathrooms, frescoes on the walls, French sofas and chairs. Next time you come to Florence with the same price, do you think you will be able to find a double room of 16 m2 with a bathroom without a window, but perhaps with breakfast? I forgot

A lovely apartment in a great location

This is a beautiful old apartment directly opposite the Pitti Palace - great for people watching! Just a few steps from some fabulous restaurants and wine bars. It is very comfortable both bed and lounge, and very spacious. The kitchen is fitted out nicely, more than adequate for self catering. There are 3 flights of stairs to take. There was an extra check in charge as our flight didn’t arrive until after 7pm, so Viviana checked us in. But that went smoothly and both Viviana and Angela were helpful throughout our stay. The outside space is an internal balcony, we assume overlooking an internal courtyard, with very old opaque windows which we were asked not to touch as they were old and delicate. So there isn’t any proper outside space. However we didn’t mind as the rest of the property more than made up for this. We did have one issue - a previous guest had somehow managed to pull the door off one of the bathrooms which couldn’t be fixed until the day before our return. Fortunately it’s a 2 bathroom apartment, although the second bathroom opens to the lounge / dining area, and has temperamental plumbing so not ideal! Overall we had a lovely stay and had there not been the bathroom issues it would’ve been perfect.

Our overall impression of the property was really good. You simply cannot beat the location and the airiness of the front rooms. AC worked well throughout our stay and we enjoyed everything about it.

This home was an absolutely perfect place to start our honeymoon. It is beautiful and spacious with a really cool history and a phenomenal view of Pitti Palace. The location was amazing and we were able to walk everywhere on our itinerary. Check-in was seamless.

Charming restored 14th century former palazzo apartment

Helpful landlady was very responsive to our needs and requests. Fantastic ambiance. Bountiful HVAC kept things cool inside despite the summer heatwave. Comfortable bed - modern appliances. Would have appreciated English TV. Had a fantastic stay.
