Potential but disappointing
We have been to Foggetta many times and knew where the property was, the location is great.
We arrived on a Sunday, and had received instructions on how to check in as there wouldn’t be anyone onsite. There was a miscommunication and we had conflicting details for the check in process. It took several messages back and forth to sort out and we were waiting on the blistering heat. Finally got it sorted.
Arrived in the apartment ans the kitchen sink had an obvious leak as there was water pooling out under the cabinets. This again took several messages back and forth and a few days to resolve completely.
I was happy to have access to a washing machine however, we could not complete a cycle of laundry without the electricity going out at least once. This is without running any other electrical things in the apartment at the same time. It was very frustrating.
The air conditioning was also a problem. Temperature was 40° each day and the main AC unit was not efficient. The fan wasn’t running on it and we tried to speak with maintenance about it but it never was resolved. It was very hot and uncomfortable. To the point where we had to go out and purchase a fan to keep on at least at night.
I’ve stayed in many vacation rentals and there was a lack of amenities with this one. It is a beach apartment. It would be nice to have beach towels and some food basics (salt, sugar, etc). There was one toilet roll in each bathroom and a small cleaning kit included.
