From the lounge you have unobstructed spectacular sea views to the beach,and far reaching views over the Atlantic Ocean – recently voted one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall with the highly prized Blue Flag for swimming and surfing.

The ground floor apartment has been finished to the highest specification and is fully loaded with quality appliances. The accommodation comprises one bedroom with fitted sliding wardrobes, a 5ft four poster bed, luxury en-suite bathroom with separate rain shower with body jets a 12 jet whirlpool bath, solid oak flooring throughout, 42″ HD Television with Full SKY HD+ package, including movies & sports, BT Sports, HD DVD player, high speed wi-fi internet, Bower & Wilkins bluetooth speaker, Apple Mini Ipad which links to Apple Music and our definative music library with in excess of 19,500 songs, a luxury fitted kitchen with dishwasher, double oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine. Externally is a secure garden & patio area and at the rear of the property there is a secure garage, with electric roller doors, and also a vented dryer.

Perfect stay here - we didn’t want to leave! Sue is a fantastic host and thought of absolutely everything to make our stay a home from home. I cannot recommend this highly enough. We will definitely be back!!

The property was well located, very short walk from the beach & all local amenities.It was very well presented inside with a small enclosed garden which was ideal for our dog..The property mangers were very helpful & were happy to answer any questions & give advice on places to go & visit.. We will be staying again..

Unforgettable stay

We had a wonderful holiday in a beautiful cottage.The apartment is fully equipped and leaves nothing to be desired.Even the fridge was stocked according to our preferences, which had been asked in advance.Simon and Sue fulfilled even our smallest wishes – such warm and thoughtful hosts!We would love to come back. Everything was perfect – highly recommended!

Das allerbeste ist die Lage!! Wir haben es bei Bilderbuchwetter eine Woche lang genossen, draußen auf der Terrasse zu sitzen/ zu essen und immer den Blick auf den Atlantik zu haben. Als das Wetter etwas nachließ, hatten wir denselben Blick vom Wohnraum aus . Die Umgebung ist traumhaft schön, bestens geeignet für Wanderungen bei Ebbe am Strand oder über den Küstenwanderweg. Viele Ausflugsziele sind gut zu erreichen mit dem Auto. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Fabulous little flat

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The flat was as advertised. You could sit in the back and see the ocean. Cute town. Lovely place for breakfast. Sue, the owner was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic holiday apartment, very nice hosts

The apartment is very tasteful, high quality and very clean. The location is great, with a view of the sea and its own garage. The hosts lovingly presented various treats as a welcome, such as scones, wine and waffles. It couldn't be better.

Fantastic place with everything you might need

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property has everything you could need for a lovely stay by the sea, with the most comfortable lounger ever! We happily spent hours just laying on the lounger looking out at the sea. There were lots of lovely welcoming touches such as bread and milk left, a cream tea and fresh flowers, which made us feel especially welcome. It was a bonus to have an outside area and table and chairs. We can't wait to book again!

What a Cracker

What a lovely place to stay, we really enjoyed our time here even though not alot happening in Porthtowen, luckily there were 2 pubs to choose from and food was nice, beer exceptional of course.

Absolute heaven.

We have been holidaying in Cornwall for over 30 years and have never stayed anywhere as perfect as this. The apartment is equipped and decorated to an incredibly high standard and the owners have thought of everything. The location is superb, a few steps away from a beautiful beach and the coastal path. Sue communicated regularly with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay and she left luxurious gifts such as Prosecco, a home-cooked meal etc. I can’t recommend this holiday accommodation Highly enough

Excellent accomodation

Our hosts have thought about everything you need during your stay and more, very comfortable and peacefull, including a lovely pre prepared evening meal, we really couldnt have asked for more and cannot recomend highly enough.

Brilliant stay in a special location

Sue the owner was so good and thoughtful she made sure everything was just right! From the beautiful home made welcome meal,to all the amenities in the home! It’s the perfect place to stay in Cornwall and I will be recommending the cockle shell to all my friends and family

Couple getaway

Very relaxing early spring holiday. The apartment was very clean with everything you need and more. The freshly prepared meal and bottle of wine was a very special touch which was much appreciated. The view of the sea from the apartment was amazing, we even had a couple of days when we could sit in the garden and watch the sea in the sunshine. Highly recommend a stay.

Stunning

I booked this property for a 4 night stay to celebrate my husbands 70th we arrived to find not only a beautiful apartment and location but a home cooked meal in the fridge and lots of little extras. We are so delighted with our experience we decided to stay a couple extra nights. If you want a nice chilled out break with views of the waves and surfers this is the place to come. Area has wonderful coastline and lots of walks.
