Causey View - a bungalow that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

Having recently undergone comprehensive refurbishment to an exceptional standard this stylish bungalow is sure to impress with great attention to detail throughout and guest comfort at the forefront. The warm and welcoming open-plan living space is perfect for family and friends to come together for a sociable holiday. The lounge has two comfy sofas, easy chair, bespoke coffee table, and a cosy log burning stove to enjoy after a day on the fells.

The modern, well-appointed kitchen has all you would expect including an induction hob, large fridge freezer and integrated dishwasher, plus some indulgent little extras such as a Nespresso coffee maker.

The dining space includes solid oak dining table, six chairs, and Herdy placemats.

The two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the other with twin divans, have fitted wardrobes and oak furniture and come beautifully dressed with luxury linen and towels.

A spacious new bathroom, with separate bath and shower, completes the living space. Complimentary fast broadband is available throughout the property.

The back door leads to a utility room with everything you need to wash and dry your outdoor gear and there is additional locked storage (by arrangement) in the garage for bikes & kayaks.

With gardens to front and back and ample parking we hope our cottage is your perfect home from home. The back garden is a tranquil setting with picnic table and a beck on the boundary - the perfect place to relax and enjoy some sunshine.

Perfect place for a weekend get away

We had a lovely time at Causey View. The bungalow was much larger than expected, spotlessly clean and had everything you might need for your stay. Location is perfect for exploring the local area and the views from the property are stunning. We’ll definitely be back!

Great Cottage in Great Location

Really comfortable and cosy cottage that's well equipped. Location is great - really quiet and yet very close to local facilities as well as lots of walking. Views are also lovely.

Hi Janet, Thank you for your review. Causey View is in the lovely village of Braithwaite just outside of Keswick. Braithwaite has lots of great local amenities such as a village shop, 2 pubs and a café. There are plenty of things you can do right from the door step like bagging a couple of Wainwrights, Barrow and Grisedale Pike or for for the more adventurous there is Go Ape and Forest Segways up at Whinlatter Visitor Centre. Keswick is only a few mile walk away or a 5 minute car journey. We hope you ha a fantastic stay, whatever you got up to! Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Excellent all round

Great location with walks from the door. Local shop, pubs and cafes all close by. Furnished and decorated to a high standard. The only niggle was a slightly erratic TV.

Hi, Russell! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely review. We’re really glad to hear that you enjoyed Causey View’s brilliant location — having walks right from the doorstep, plus a handy shop, cosy pubs and cafés nearby, is exactly what makes that spot so special. It’s great to know you found the cottage furnished and decorated to a high standard too. We put a lot of care into making it feel warm, comfortable and welcoming, so your comments mean a lot. As for the slightly temperamental TV, thank you for mentioning it. Little niggles like that can slip through the cracks, and your note gives us the chance to put it right. We’ll get it checked so it behaves properly for future stays. We’re delighted you enjoyed your time at Causey View and really appreciate your feedback. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages
