This apartment is ideal for people wishing to be close to the town centre whilst still being somewhere quiet. It is a lovely, warm, bright apartment with full gas central heating and constant hot water.

The light and airy lounge has two comfortable settees and an easy chair, TV, CD player, an electric fire with a modern surround, coffee table, sideboard, dining table and four chairs.

The kitchen is well planned and equipped. There is plenty of cupboard space, electric oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster and plenty of work space.

The main bedroom has a double bed, two built in wardrobes bedside tables and an en-suite with shower, WC and wash basin.

The second bedroom has two single beds, bed side cabinet, built in wardrobe and large chest of drawers.

The bathroom has a white bathroom suite with a shower over the bath and is very tastefully finished.

The apartment is conveniently situated a stones throw from Booth's supermarket (which has an electric car charging point) and the E-Venture shop for easy bike hire.

Short Break in Keswick

Excellent flat, which had everything we needed including a parking space. Very central to shops & pubs and local walks. Definitely be back.

Cosy apartment centrally located

Very comfortable apartment. Well equipped and great location, with the bonus of a parking space. Although close to the centre if Keswick it was really quiet.

Great location

Flat is ideally situated for the town centre, bus station & walks from the door. Well equipped although couldn't open windows in twin bedroom which made it very stuffy overnight.

Lovely stay in Keswick

We enjoyed our week staying at Coledale in Keswick. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is in a great location, just a short walk from the supermarket and town centre. Plenty of lovely walks on the doorstep and no need to use the car which was safely parked in the allocated parking space. Great service from Keswick Cottages. Highly recommend this cottage and will definitely return.

Booths supermarket is just over the road so very handy for shopping. Also at Booths in a bus stop so you can hop on a bus and explore other areas of the Lake District without moving your car. September break

Coledale was easy to locate and on a very busy Saturday having allocated parking was brilliant, as it was throughout the week. Access to the property was easy to. The apartment was comfortable and cosy, and had all facilities we needed. It was close enough for us to walk into Keswick, and a great base for many walks too. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Coledale, and in fact already have! And hopefully we will return next year too.

Our recent stay at COLEDALE, Keswick, June/July 2025

We have spent a number of holidays at Coledale over the years, and it never disappoints - clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The location is quiet, but it is only a few minutes walk away from Booths supermarket, the bus station, and the town. Several walks from the door, and further afield by using bus or boat. We only used the car twice during our two-week stay.

LOVELY APARTMENT

This was a delightful, comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment in a great central location without being in the very centre of town. Our only criticism was that it was impossible to open the window in the twin bedded room. Thankfully the weather was not as hot as it could have been.

A comfortable flat in a great location

We stayed in Coledale for two weeks, and found it a real 'home from home'. The flat is cosy and comfortable, with a very well-equipped kitchen. The appliances are modern and easy to use, and it was great to have a bath. We also loved the central location: being so close to Booths supermarket was particularly helpful! Keswick Cottages' customer service is great, and the flat was spotless.

Perfect place to stay in Keswick!

My husband & I love Keswick and we think Elliot Park is one of the best places to stay as it has parking and is right next to Booths and the Bus Station, but also within easy reach of the town. Coledale was the third property we have stayed at in this area and it is by far the best! The smart TV was very welcome and there is also a second TV in the main bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed and the flat was smart, spacious, comfortable and warm.

Lovely Autumn Break

We had a lovely few days at Coledale. The location near Booths was very handy yet very peaceful. Only a short walk to shops/eateries and some wonderful walks. We had everything we needed and all was spotlessly clean. Can highly recommend The Pheasant, Casa Bella and Lakeland Spice for evening meals! We had excellent communication from Keswick Cottages and would highly recommend them and Coledale. We hope to visit again soon!

a week in September in Cumbria

We enjoyed our stay in the centre of Keswick, the weather was variable but apart from 1 hr of 'torrential' rain we managed daily outings to a variety of interesting places. We enjoyed some 'thrilling' bus excursions down roads I wouldn't have driven down! Our flat was comfortable had everything we needed. It was close to the shops, bus station, also not far to the lake and the theatre, along a fairly level path. Much to see and visit within the vicinity.

Very pleased

We had a short holiday here in November, and were very pleased with the flat. I can't add much to the other positive reviews, except for two points I would like to mention. First, we greatly appreciated having a spare set of keys to the flat. It's amazing how many self-catering hosts fail to provide these, which makes it very difficult for each of us to come and go separately. So full marks to Keswick Cottages for providing these. And we also appreciated the small "welcome pack" - tea, milk, biscuits, etc. - which enabled us to brew up as soon as we arrived. We found the flat clean, tidy and welcoming. The kitchen was particularly well equipped. We don't usually prepare elaborate meals when on holiday, but in this case I'm sure we could have done if we wanted to. Being right next door to the Booth's supermarket and the bus station was a definite plus. We did get a bit of occasional noise from lorries delivering to Booth's, but this did not greatly disturb us, and never during the night. The flat clearly deserves its many five-star reviews. I'm happy to recommend it, and we hope to have another visit during the summer.

Comfortable flat near town centre

We have stayed here several times before. It is comfortable and well furnished. It’s a 5 minute walk from the town centre. There is a good supermarket right next door. The price has gone up quite a bit in the past few years, but I suppose that’s no different to other holiday rentals. The only negative is that they only provide one set of keys even though they state there is a spare set. This is important when I stay because I sometimes come and go at different times to my friends. One contacts them to resolve this, but they never do. They say that previous customers take them with them. Another spare set is never available. Strange. This has happened on our last 3 visits and is annoying given the amount that we pay for the flat.

There should be 2 sets of keys for the property, one set which is left by the welcome tablet and another set as per the arrival instructions for the cottage. We are sorry if this has not been the case, especially if this has been an ongoing problem. It can sometimes be the case that guests mistakenly take keys away with them, in these circumstances only one set would be available, however the keysafe can be used multiple times during your stay to save the need of having to arrange set times of meeting etc. We hope to welcome you again soon. A very comfortable and well presented property

Coledale is a first floor apartment which is very well furnished and comfortable. It is very well equipped with kitchen equipment, a selection of books and games. It is located very conveniently within a few minutes walking distance of the Town Centre. It would have been handy to have a folder of instruction manuals for the appliances as we had to resort to the internet to work out how to operate the oven

Keswick again!

We have stayed at. Coledale before & have found that the same repairs are needed ie toilet seats twist & washers are old & ineffective to stabilise. Seat Stained at front in en-suite. 2 wall cupboard shelves have strips needing to be secured with a malfunctioning blind in twin bedded room. Some windows could not be opened & beds very hard with mattress covers needing a wash. Some pillows are stained. The usual cleaner is v good but another cleaned in her absence for our arrival where we found the edges of the bathroom floor produced accumulated hair! We appreciated the new carpet, washing machine & clean oven with welcome packs. At change over no toilet rolls & W Packs were left for Keswick Ministries. We continued to ‘stay’ at Coledale as we are volunteers for The Convention. We do not wish to complain but in order to recommend Coledale & Keswick Cottages it would be good if these issues were addressed.

In regards to toilet paper and welcome pack these should be left for you even if this is a mid week change over, as we do not inspect the properties on the mid week change overs we can only apologise if these have not been left for you.
