Bridge House - a house that sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms

Enter into a generous and sophisticated modern kitchen with Bosch integrated appliances including induction hob, quartz worktop and large dining table and chairs. The ground floor has been stylishly tiled throughout with underfloor heating for extra comfort. The ground floor master suite provides a comfortable kingsize bed and fabulous ensuite with walk-in rain shower.

The grand Georgian staircase leads up to a cosy second bedroom on the first floor with twin beds (that can be changed to super king for a £15 charge). Opposite is the main bathroom with bath and separate shower.

The incredibly elegant living room on the second floor shows off beautiful original Georgian beams and windows with shutters. With three leather sofas, Smart TV, DAB radio, and solid oak furniture.

The third floor provides a fantastic twin bedroom (which can be changed to super king for a £15 charge) and also a spacious kingsize bedroom both with high beamed ceilings and views. There is a modern shower room with twin sinks on this floor. Each bedroom comes with TV, solid oak furniture, luxury linens and quality furnishings.

There is also a utility with laundry facilities including a dryer. The owners provide complimentary WI-FI, Cole & Lewis hand soaps, and some towels.

The property also benefits from two allocated car parking spaces on the private Bridge Complex car park.

Excellent

The house was very comfortable and clean and provided excellent accommodation for our all male walking group. Good location for pubs (very important) and restaurants. Parking for 2 cars was very useful, given its town centre location, although we ended up with 3 cars, with a small additional charge, which was fine.

‘Excellent stay at Bridge House’

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay for a week at Bridge House. The house is really gorgeous, well maintained spacious, comfortable throughout and extremely clean. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful area, and for visiting the local shops and restaurants. Couldn’t fault a thing, and we would like to return. Thank you so much.

Excellent property, ideal location, shame internet patchy

Excellent property for our stay minor issue with ensuite lighting that team resolved within half hour Shame internet reception is not greater within the property we had 2 elderly guess as part of our party which made a downstairs bed room and ensuite idea - but patio area nd slop/steps are quiet a dangerous area for them we always had to have someone keeping an eye them cleanliness of house is a 5 but cleanliness of outside tables and chairs let down the quality of the rest of the area need bigger airer for property size or more pegs

Great for larger groups

We were a group of 6, could easily fit 8. Place is perfect, everything you need, large comunal area in living room and in kitchen. Bedrooms are spotless and excellent 3 bathrooms. Only thing that could be improved was the signal of the WiFi which wasn’t great anywhere in the house but don’t let that put you off as you’ll be out exploring in any case.

Return to Bridge House

A return visit for our small family of seven. An excellent house with very good amenities, very cosy and comfortable, who needs good weather! Central Keswick is very close by as are the two local supermarkets.

I doubt you will find a better property in central Keswick

Been staying at Bridge House with a group of friends for many years as part of our annual excursion. Why do we go back to the same place you might ask? Because we have confidence Bridge House always delivers. A great location with a 2-minute walk into Keswick which has so much to offer, and by far the best town in the Lake District. Generous and allocated parking spaces for each property. 5 star spacious excellent accommodation and with a regular refurbishment programme. Finally great customer service from the staff at Keswick Cottages.

Another lovely stay in this great house

We've stayed in Bridge House 4 or 5 times now - it's a great house in the perfect location for us, with all the amenities we need. Having the huge garden is a brilliant bonus, perfect for the grandkids to play safely, parking is ideal, and the house itself is very spacious and comfortable. As always, it was immaculately clean (brilliant job by the cleaning staff) and had everything we needed. Keswick Cottages staff very helpful as always - thoroughly recommended :)

A good place to stay for a big family.

It is the second time we stayed in the house. It is comfortable with a good garden and a tennis court that the kids used a lot. It is close to shops and is a good base for walking.

A lovely holiday home

Bridge House is a lovely comfortable holiday home in centre of Keswick with the added bonus of a garden. It's part of a small complex of holiday homes which share the garden. There is parking for two cars, a real bonus in Keswick! We had a lovely family holiday with enough space for 3 generations to spread out. The only drawback is lots of stairs, so maybe not so great for the less mobile although a ground floor bedroom is another bonus.

Winter break

We have stayed at bridge house on many occasions and keep going back. The location is ideal for walks and the town so you can park you car and not use it until it is time to go home. The house is so comfortable and ideal for large groups and very well equipped.

Highly recommended and centrally located.

We were a family of 4 and there was plenty of room in Bridge House to accomodate us all. It is in an excellent location being very close to the Centre of Keswick. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Well recommended. We will return.

We have just returned from a lovely stay in bridge house keswick with the family fantastic house in a great location to explore Keswick and the surrounding countryside. Home from home

Bridge house was very comfortable. The kitchen was an excellent room for us all to gather and eat together. The sitting room was a pleasant place to relax in the evening. We were 3 couples and all had plenty of space. The location was very convenient for Booths, restaurants and the shops. Parking for 2 cars was also a bonus. A very enjoyable stay.

Excellent Property and Location

Just had a 2 week stay in Keswick at Bridge House. Property is excellent and our stay very comfortable. The property is well maintained, modern, well equipped and tastefully decorated. We picked the property as we wanted parking for 2 cars and wanted some where that would take a dog. The house keeping deserve a special mention for the friendliness and efficiency.

Another wonderful week spent in Bridge House.

We have stayed in Bridge house (and other properties in the complex) many times. The central location with parking means that you can leave your car and walk everywhere. The property is very comfortable and well equipped. The large garden and ample outside seating provide a very welcome way to relax at the end of the day. We have already booked again for Spring 2025.

Lovely house

Second time we’ve stayed at Bridge House - a lovely, spacious, comfortable and welcoming home for the week. A great holiday house.

We had a wonderful week in Bridge House. It's in a great position, it has everything you need for a family holiday. The house is old with wooden beams but beautifully decorated throughout and very comfortable. The garden is an added bonus especially as the weather was so good! The main road outside does provide some noise but we didn't find it much of a problem. Communication with Keswick Cottages was clear and efficient before and after our stay. We will definitely be returning!

A great family stay

A lovely house which is well equipped to give 8 people a great holiday. The on-site parking and large garden are a fantastic bonus and we spent a lot of time enjoying the swings, tennis court and trampoline. Situated only minutes walk from the centre of Keswick and Booths it really is ideally placed. I would highly recommend the house for a group, or large family holiday. On a separate note, it would be useful to have some games available for those inevitable wet days in the Lakes Also two members of the group found the beds quite hard and uncomfortable but that is, of course, a personal preference. Outside the control of Bridge House, is the traffic noise from the busy Main Street and unfortunately a very noisy drain cover mentioned by a previous reviewer. If you are used to quiet nights then you may find that your sleep is disturbed. We also had a 'visit' from a group of local lads who came into the garden and broke the seesaw and literally tied the swings in knots. When challenged they said that they were 'looking for Booths.' As reported and discussed with Keswick Cottages, the complex would benefit from a number lock on the external gate, not only to ensure the vandalism doesn't happen again but that small children and dogs are safe from the parking area.

Thank you for your review and recommendation of Bridge House! We are so happy you found it well equipped and lovely to stay in. The on-site parking is a great feature of the property and the secure rear garden is a true gem, (especially with the swings, trampoline and tennis court so much fun to have! Situated in central Keswick, you only have to leave the front door to enjoy the town's amenities. Thank you for your recommendations about the games for rainy days and also about having a number lock on the external gate, these are really helpful for us moving froward.
