It was nice being on the bay, but this property is not a good choice if you are looking for peace and quiet. I thought being on a small key would feel like getting away from it all, but instead the small size means constant traffic noise with the main highway so close. We we're in the downstairs unit. The bedroom and bathroom are in the back and are very dark with just a few small windows looking out underneath a covered area. Thankfully there was a ceiling fan in the bedroom, but there was not one in the livingroom which might have helped with limited air flow through the small windows when we had the AC off. I'm guessing the upstairs unit might be better in that regard. Beware, the description for the downstairs unit inaccurately lists the keywords "one bedroom upstairs." Because of this we thought we rented the upstairs unit, which looks like it would have been nicer. We did enjoy having kayaks there for our use (though one of them is not in great shape with worn out straps and a busted seat), saw some nice sunsets from the deck, and enjoyed daily visits from caretaker Joanie and her sweet dog. The main drawback for this property is the constant traffic noise, and that will probably to only continue to get worse.
