The home was one of the nicest in Salema. The walk to town was easy. Restaurants and the beach are fantastic. The oasis of our villa was spectacular.

Lovely house

We all loved our stay at Casa Alexei, and hope to come back soon. Very comfortable house, near the beach, and the pool was a hit with everyone. We had our breakfasts, lunches and dinners on the well-sheltered terrace. Fantastic views of the sea, and you can watch the stars at night.

Perfect location with short walk to beach snd restaurants and cafes . Enclosed pool made a perfect base for grand children 10 month , 3 and 5 for relaxing holiday to celebrate grandparents 40 th wedding anniversary.

What a beautiful and truly special villa. We loved the decor, the fully equipped kitchen and the location. And of course the pool and short walk to town. Thank you to the owners for creating this wonderful spot in the world. We hope to return!

Wonderful Villa!

The villa couldn't have been more perfect! Gorgeous and homely house, beautiful views, very comfortable and every comfort and need thought of. As two families with children we really appreciated the comfortable beds and rooms, shutters so they could sleep well in the dark, two baths and lots of bathrooms, a big fridge for food, a genuine short walk to the village which we did multiple times a day and all the things that matter when travelling with children! Lots of space to sit together inside and out. We would really recommend staying here and it’s clearly a well loved and cherished family home, the opposite of many a sterile rental. We also loved the extra details about the houses history and art in the house. We’d love to go back, thanks for having us!

Maison très bien Située et avec tout le confort

La maison est idéalement située, à deux pas de la plage où l’on peut faire du surf mais aussi se baigner. Elle est proche aussi de golf. La piscine est grande et très abritée. La maison est très spacieuse, très propre et possède toutes les commodités. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Il n’y a rien à redire .

Casa muito boa mas de regras apertadas

A propriedade é de facto muito boa, com uma localização boa, vistas maravilhosas, bem equipada e decorada com o toque pessoal do proprietário. Recheada de etiquetas que explicam tudo e mais alguma coisa. O pior da nossa experiência foi mesmo a rigidez e falta de bom senso do proprietário que, apesar do anúncio referir as 8 pessoas e apenas só referir num formulário simples do site de reservas Vrbo), nunca em tempo algum isso foi condicionante para uma reserva de uma casa que eu tenha feito e já o faço há mais de 18 anos. Sempre que reservo casa privada, guio-me pelo número de quartos e não pelo limite de pessoas, sempre dentro do bom senso como é obvio. A casa é um T4 bastante grande, nós eramos 6 adultos, 3 bebés com menos de 2 anos que dormiram em camas de viagem que nós levamos incluindo os nossos lençóis e 4 crianças até 8 anos. Distribuímos os quartos pelos casais com os bebés e um quarto para as 4 crianças (1x 5anos, 2x 6anos e 1x8 anos). Pois então a meio da semana o proprietário exigiu 700€ pelas crianças extra, tendo em conta que bebés não costumam contar, este valor seria para compensar os gastos com (água, luz (a casa tem painéis solares) e limpeza de duas crianças. Um exagero! Baixou o valor para os 600€ após uma troca de e-mails, mas mesmo assim UM EXAGERO. Mas ou pagávamos ou saíamos. Fica o alerta para que respeitem o limite de lotação. A casa tem tanto de boa como o proprietário têm de oportunista e ganancioso.

Nice villa in a beautiful location

The house is equipped with all necessities; terrace has a fantastic view and the pool area is also nice. Salema is always windy, but the terrace is well sheltered. Though the house is already somewhat older, all is well functioning.

Family holiday

We had a lovely family holiday. The pool was a favourite with all 3 generations especially when it was time to ‘dive bomb’ grandad’!! The restaurants and beach were a short walk away and the view from the villa is tremendous.

Absolutely Amazing Space with Complete Privacy

The location of the villa is incredible, offering complete tranquility and comfort whilst only a short 5 min walk down onto the gorgeous beach of Salema. Our children loved to play in the beautiful garden and we spent endless hours swimming in the soft heated salt water pool which in the full heat of Portugal is heaven. The locals are of some of the most genuine lovely people we have ever met. We can't wait to return,
