Peaceful and Family-Friendly Downtown Lake House with Private Docks

We at Resting Gull Lake House want to invite you and your lived ones to make exciting, long-lasting memories here. Our Lake house is your home away from the city to spend quality time with your friends and family. Conveniently located near downtown Gravenhurst, but far enough away for a private and relaxing stay.

At places like this, you are able to reconnect with life and breathe out again. Life's short, experience it deeply with loved ones.

It's a cozy 4 bedroom lakefront cottage with direct access to Gull Lake through our private docks. Every day and night, you'll be able to experience breathtaking sunrises, and stars on the swing or feel the cool fresh air as you BBQ in the backyard while listening to the soothing rise and fall of the waves.
Other things to note:
Not too far from the property is the Gravenhurst Railway Station. Full of history, it was a stop for Northlander trains before being discontinued in 2012. If you listen closely, you'll still hear trains running twice a day. A unique and exciting sight for those coming from the city!

Wonderful!

We had a great time. The cottage is clean and spacious, and all the amenities one would want are provided. Will definitely go back, highly recommended for those looking for the perfect getaway.

Great location

Great location right on the lake with canoe and kayak. House itself was quirky. Clearly and older property that has had some DIY to update some areas. 4 bedrooms , 2 on top floor 1 on middle floor and 1 in the basement. Could be difficult with sleeping arrangements for younger children. Overall house was spacious and clean and grew on us over the week. Sun loungers would be a nice addition.

Relaxing Lake Side Property

Cottage was well equipped with everything you needed for a great stay from linens, towels, kitchen items, bbq and paddle boat and canoes. Was in a great location. Hosts were super helpful. Lots of decks and docks to enjoy the serenity of your Gravenhurst get away. Definitely consider going back.

The view was amazing, really enjoy the outdoor. Indoor quite spacious and all equipment in the kitchen was there. Bedrooms and bath room very clean. The only problem that they need blind in the bedrooms. Too much light in the morning

Beautiful, clean house, convenient location

What a supper convenient location on beautiful Gull Lake! Many decks to sit on with the best sunroom for viewing the calm lake! House was clean with lots of bedrooms and space for everyone! Games and pool table for extra fun! Would definitely go back and recommend to friends and family!

Beautiful home on the lake

Wendy and Raymond have a beautiful home with everything that you could possibly need. House is very clean and much larger than it looks. We rented this particular home because it’s on the lake and we were looking forward to taking the boat out and having a camp fire in the evening but unfortunately the weather did not permit it. Despite that we had a great time and will definitely book again.

Wonderful break @ Gravenhurst

First off all, a big thank you to Wendy & Raymond for hosting us on their beautiful property. We had a fantastic stay there this weekend and enjoyed every moment. You have everything you need to spend a relaxing time from your busy schedules. The cottage is beautifully designed and have more than you can expect. Even if you are not jumping into the lake, they have games and the pool table which was the best. Very very clean and well maintained. The host was always reachable and responds very quickly. Once again, Thank you Wendy and Raymond for hosting us and we will come again next summer. Highly recommend for those who wants to relax and enjoy by the lake Cheers Binil

What you see is what you get!

The place is exactly as advertised… beautiful, clean, peaceful and serene. Wendy and Raymond are wonderful hosts. Communications was excellent … respond to questions promptly and took care of the tiniest details such as food and water bowl for our dog, sticks to roast marshmallows, etc. They thoughtfully anticipated the things you need to make you feel at home. I will definitely recommend this property to families and friends. Thank you Wendy and Raymond!
