The local area is home to ponies, donkeys, and cattle – all of which are known to roam the main street in Brockenhurst. There is a pretty picnic and shallow water swimming spot on the river at Balmer Lawn.
For those keen on walking and cycling (there is a cycle hire shop locally which has a large range of bikes, electric bikes, tandems, and children’s seats), Forest Acorn is ideally situated, being surrounded by ancient woods and heathland.
