The privilege of living in my house is to have maximum privacy, although not far from Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Pompei, but above all to live in an environment that perfectly reflects the architectural style Italian of the 70s.
the circular shape of the villa has been designed to increase the positive energies that the natural beauty of the Amalfi coast with the sea and the sun and the rocks naturally develop in these magical places.
Villa Jacono is a charming villa with swimming pool, a jewel of Italian architecture of the '70s, It perfectly preserved architectural structures, especially the design of the floor and the furniture of the 70's, still mentioned in prestigious architectural magazines.
Villa Jacono lies on the Amalfi side of the Sorrento Peninsula. You reach the property via aside road that joins the main Meta–Amalfi road, which connects Sorrento to Positano, and is about 6kms far from both towns.
The structure accommodates up to 10 people, 8+2 people. In the villa (2 extra beds with extra cost in the " fan-shaped" room), has 3 double bedrooms, 1 bedroom ( fan-shaped) with 2 single beds or 1 bed on request double (or 2 comfortable extra beds), for a total of 10 sleeping beds + 4 bathrooms and 1 toilet.
The extra beds have extra cost.
The villa, swimming pool and garden are in exclusive use.
All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning.
(In the high season from June to September, the villa is rented minimum stay 6 nights. In other seasons, minimum stay 4 nights.
The swimming pool is open from April to November.
This is an ideal place for people looking for a relaxing vacation spot on the Amalfi coast. Visit local towns or stay at the villa and enjoy sitting by the poolside while eating and drinking local wines, cheese, gelato and food from the area.
Villa Jacono is close to small villages where you will find general food shops and typical restaurants, serving local dishes. The villa’s location is an excellent starting point for trips to the entire Amalfi coast, Positano, Sorrento peninsula, Capri and Pompei.
Outside the gate of the Villa there is the bus stop, for all locations of the Sorrento-Amalfi Coast. (If you want the car is not necessary). In addition to there is a typical boutiques, 2 bar and a small mini-market.
It’s possible to provide guests the shopping necessities (fruit, wine, breakfast, pizzas etc); required directly to the house and a cook is at disposal to prepare Mediterranean specialties.

Lovely home and outdoor area.

The home is beautiful. Sunny, and has a lovely outdoor area. It is not near the Amalfi sights, so requires either having a car or getting taxis to get anywhere.

Amalfi Coast Stay

This Villa was a magnificent size for our grown up family. Privacy for all. The pool was a spectacular feature for when down days were needed. The pool table was used everyday. The host is AMAZING - one of a kind and super knowledgable about the area as a Master of the sea. His recommendations for all things local were bang on the money. And the spectacular meal prepared at home by your host and his wife was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. It was truly lovely having the opportunity to get to know one another a little better. We do recommend a car service, if you are not driving your own vehicle. Your host can help you with that. The city buses are often full going into Positano, so it's easy to lose 1-2 hours waiting to hop on one of them. You fare better going the other way, into Sorrento, but for some random reason, the waits are not reliable, despite being able to buy bus tickets literally at the end of the Villa's driveway. Also a great little restaurant called "Zio Sam" is within walking distance from the Villa, as is a small grocery store and two coffee bars. This host provides a personal touch throughout your stay, as he ensures he remains a stone's throw away. Highly recommend for a fabulous experience - do not hesitate.

Great location near Sorrento and Positano. Small grocery, 2 solid restaurants and a bar nearby.

Nice property. Good amenities. Has a good water view (from rooftop). Water pressure is weak when 2 showers are going at once. Very workable kitchen and supplies for cooking in. Really well positioned for access to Positano and Sorrento.

MADE MY HOLIDAY

Awesome location - for activities in Positano/Capri/Sorrento - an excellent escape from the busy, full of tourists of the local towns - but still very close so that you can drive (or taxi) home after an evening out! Great house with a pool and comfortable bedrooms for everyone! Ensuite bathrooms were a bonus and the kitchen was fantastic for food prep when we decided to stay in! Host prepared a super first meal for us upon our arrival and also arranged for a fabulous boat trip to explore Capri and the waters around Sorrento! Plus the views form the house are fantastic! Definitely a 10 out of 10 in our minds!! Enjoy!

A breathtakingly beautiful Sorrento retreat--a family's dream come true!

This one-of-a-kind villa, nestled in the hills overlooking the Bay of Sorrento, provided everything me and my family were looking for. Eight of us total, we found the accommodations perfect for our needs. The bathrooms were comparatively spacious, given the typical Italian ones, and all bedrooms were comfortably air-conditioned...a much-welcomed relief given the hot August weather. There is ample room for dining both indoors and outdoors, and the outdoor dining area was our chosen place to meet, especially for early morning coffee. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we did prepare a few meals, but the true highlight of our stay at Villa Jacono was having two of our meals prepared by Teresa, Ettore's wife. She uses the freshest of vegetables and seafood to prepare some of the finest meals we had during our two-week stay in Italy. Both Teresa and Ettore live on the grounds and are very unobtrusive, but they are always ready to help if there is a problem or a request you may have. We enjoyed them so much that we invited them to sit with us for after dinner drinks and discussion on more than one occasion! Ettore also arranged a private boat trip around Capri for us as well as a driver (Chicco!) who is worth the price of admission--both at very reasonable prices. And did I mention the pool? It's where we spent most of our time when at the Villa, and it is a definite plus. The villa is located about twenty minutes from Sorrento by car which is limiting if you don't have a vehicle, but there is a local grocery store that is within a 5-minute walk where you can get drinks, delicious paninis, wine, paper goods, and produce. A little farther from the villa is a restaurant Zio Sam's which has wonderful pizza, pastas, etc. All in all, I don't believe you will be disappointed in this property. We give it 5 stars!

Wonderful experience

Ettore and Teresa were wonderful hosts. The villa is lovely, the pool area is the star of the show. Please note there are no bathtubs, only showers. The location is a good central point for traveling to Sorrento, Capri, Positano, but be prepared to spend a lot of money on taxis unless you have the patience to deal with the Italian transit system. There is a wonderful breakfast/lunch spot a short walk away and a truly wonderful dinner spot a little further but still walkable. I definitely recommend having Teresa prepare you a meal one evening - it was the highlight of the trip and was an extra special way to celebrate my dad’s birthday.

the property is as described with a lovely pool area. unique designed villa, beautiful location and gardens. ettore and teresa arranged a meal in the villa for us one night which was out of this world. the girls loved the lemon tiramisu. also one of our party was gluten free which was no problem at all to teresa. we arranged taxi travel with francesco daiky which was fantastic as he really took care of his 8 chickens - as he called us. all 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our trip especially our 2 canadian cousins. thank you ettore and teresa.

Perfect in all ways

Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed this villa - it’s in a great location, clean, has beautiful views and the owners were kind and welcoming. Teresa, owner, made us dinner on the first night - one of the best meals during our 2 week stay in Italy. The villa is the perfect home base to experience the Amalfi coast.

Überraschend war der Empfang der beiden Gastgeber. Ettore war geduldig mit unserer Buchung und hat uns viel geholfen, da es ein technisches Problem gab. Wir haben uns in der Villa sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Pool und die Terrasse sind wunderbar zum Entspannen geeignet. Herzlichen Dank an dich, Ettore und an deine Frau. A lovely, unique property

Where to begin? The home was uniquely designed for Ettore's father, featuring curved walls and furnishings. The finishes, furnishings and appliances are all of very high quality. The house sits on a large lot, with generous outdoor eating and lounging areas. The combination of the building and property make for a beautiful, peaceful, setting. Ettore met us at the property and gave us a quick orientation. The location suited us very well, being a short cab ride from Sorrento, but overlooking the Bay of Salerno. On Ettore's recommendation, we had Teresa come to the house twice during our one week stay, to prepare an evening meal, which was outstanding.

Fun stay on the Amalfi coast

There were 4 adults and 4 children in our party and we experienced a very enjoyable stay at Ettore’s property. In the build up to our visit Ettore responded to our questions and offered advice. We arrived as planned and were welcomed by Ettore and Theresa. We enjoyed our stay very much over the week especially the swimming pool which was the focal living area during our stay. The pictures of the kitchen and outdoor eating area do not do the property justice and we particularly enjoyed our meals outside, making use of the BBQ. Ettore’s tip on the croissants from the local hotel was very welcome and we enjoyed a couple of breakfasts of chocolate and jam filled croissants. We, like most visitors, took advantage of Ettore’s offer to arrange a boat trip to Capri. This was a highlight for our party. We used hire cars as we arrived from Naples via Vesuvius and found them convenient for commuting to sorrento and Pompeii however they were less useful on the amalfi coast roads to Positano where taxis and public transport are a better option. We did not find Theresa's presence on cleaning day intrusive and we found Ettore very responsive when required.

Beautiful location and very interesting architecture

Stayed at Villa Jacono this week with 4 adults and 3 children. As expected, the early July weather was beautiful and the location of the Villa (between Positano & Sorrento) is perfect if you want to visit both places and other local classics (Herculaneum/Pompeii). Ettore was on hand for the arrival and gave us great advice on places to eat/visit. Whenever we had the slightest little issue with the Villa, he came immediately to help resolve them. He went the extra mile to help book us restaurant places and advise on the most accessible (important as one of the party was on crutches!). One highight would be the evening where we booked Teresa to cook for us at the Villa...amazing home Italian cooking and wine for the cost of a restaurant visit. The children scoffed the meatballs and the parents scoffed the fish courses. Amazing. Villa Jacono stands out as a really interesting piece of Architecture. All those curves are a real change from the norm. The Pool table is a real fun treat for when you get bored of the real Pool. Plenty of places to hang out, relax and read. I particularly enjoyed the hammock. Overall, really enjoyed our stay - maybe next time we'll make it 2 weeks.

Great vacation

The home was clean and great for families. The location is quiet and serene. You will need a car or a taxi service. I suggest using the taxis recommended. You can walk to Zion Sams it’s very close and has great food. Theresa who takes care of the property is a delight and is an awesome chef. Owner is responsive and helpful. I would recommend.

Spectacular house and wonderful host!

Villa Jacono I totally agree with all the excellent reviews of this exquisite villa. We went with 2 other couples in May 2019. The villa is breathtaking on arrival. The photos are accurate. Ettore definitely enhanced our experience with his wonderful suggestions. We suggest you take all his advice, especially regarding a visit to Capri (which is hard to navigate without a guide to get you away from the lines for transportation), taking the train to Pompeii, using his guide suggestion, and eating at the simple but great Zio Sam pizza/pasta restaurant (which is walking distance from Villa Jacono). There are a couple of small issues. The seating in the living room is not great, and the hot water in the shower is a little on the weak side, but these are minor issues. Next time we would likely not rent a car and only use his trusty drivers.

Fantastic

You will love this place . Ettorie and Teresa are incredible hosts. The villa is an architectural masterpiece. You will find a certain magical feeling on this property. Very calm and relaxing. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very unique. I would suggest having Ettorie's favorite driver Kicco pick you up in Naples and drive you to the villa and use him for all of your side trips. Kicco is worth the trip to Amalfi all by himself. A true charachter. Make sure you follow Ettorie and Teresa's advice on going to Relais Blu for dinner. It is a SPECTACULAR restaurant. Great service, food, and ambience. Beautiful view of Capri, and the sunset is incredible. When we go back to Amalfi, we will stay with our friends Ettorie and Teresa.

Ettore and his lovely wife were great hosts and the villa was lovely, quiett, nd we had everything we needed. A really interesting villa in a beautiful location. Great location and very easy to see and visit all of the Amalfi Coast and Naples area,with the villa being a lovely private refuge after a long day! Best villa on the Amalfi coast

It was a great vacation! This place is magnificent! The house is very big, even better than in the photo, it has an incredible atmosphere, a very cozy patio area, a beautiful pool and garden. Incredible architecture, excellent location, very close to Positano and Sorrento. Not far away there is a small grocery store and a lovely pizzeria. Special thanks to our hosts! Ettore and Teresa! You are incredible guys! Thanks to you our holiday was unforgettable !!! I recommend to everyone this villa for rest!

Excellent séjour

De l'accueil au départ nous avons vraiment passé une très bonne semaine, tant à la villa que dans de nombreux endroits à proximité. La maison était conforme à sa description, très propre, le guest book nous fut utile à plusieurs reprises, etc. Bref je recommande chaudement l'adresse. N.C.

Great week for 8 in wonderful, comfortable modern house!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has a beautiful view, plenty of room, inside and out, for relaxing, playing cards, cooking, and eating. The location is great for its proximity to Sorrento and Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello. There is a nice small hotel and minimart around the corner. Suggestions: use Ettore’s directions, not GPS. Bring or buy insect repellent and citronella candles if eating outside in the evening. Stagger showers for optimal hot water. Take a boat trip to Capri!
